Life, light and burden-less, like lightest breeze;
Guilt, grief, tension and turmoil still at ease...!
Alarm-less by darkness shrouding my path;
Light torches of love and calm evil's wrath...!
Soothed by walking and talking with nature;
In each, finding divine legislature...!
Guilelessly, like a child, I smile and laugh;
Virtues versus vices fight, my behalf...!
Creative artist in me is alive;
AS tool of God, toward newness, I strive...!
Like a warrior, challenges I bravely face;
Fear and cravenness from my heart i chase...!
For sun and moon and stars I wait each day;
Each creature of nature shows me new way...!
The God in whom I trust, Keeps me secure;
I awake each day with greater vigor...!

I watched a sparrow go mad
Right in front of me
It charged a red bush like a bull to a matador
To build a spring nest in November
Head first through the air
It smashed into the branches
Shaking and breaking its tiny bones with fury
Weaving the straw of this insanity
Into something more familiar
Beneath its wings and hoofs
As the summer-like day cooked
The record books
They’re not telling the truth
On Fox News or across the AM dial
Or from the pulpit of Reddit and Energy
They’re just making money money money money money
Maintaining those ratings tithings and paychecks
Audiences waving their white hankies
Ole’ ole’ ole’!

Arrogance and Poetry tried out
for a dance contest,
Simply "stoned" with the idea that
they were the best.
They sat at a table, pointing out
errors in others.
Forgetting to have a heart and
compassion and that all dancers
are sisters and brothers.
After snickering over others mistakes,
They soon discovered, they did not have
what it takes.
So they, continued without hesitation,
attacking others with bitter brazenness.
So much so, that Arrogance and Poetry
were asked to leave, and red faced,
did so with all their selfish cravenness.

Purging, surging, my body heaves
Flaying, slaying imaginary dragons
Swarming beasties inside my pores
Those nasty little invaders,
Those horrid thieves
Have infested my frail body
The one my nemesis abhors
Lurking, smirking the dark one hovers
Smiling, beguiling he offers up angels
Soothing hungry desperation
Those soft enticing creatures
Those sweet lovers
Are surging through my aching veins
Offering me brief salvation
Quivering, shivering I emerge
Bleeding, pleading for just a little more
Cravenness creatures howling echoes
The whimpering of my soul
The final dirge
My spirit joins that of angels
I leave my body to the crows
