xmas 2016
its that time
when
the forest
moves within
spears of green
pierce plastered
heavens
stars descend
from distant
space
to grace
the tips
of growing
things
and the
concretion
of our desires
are precisely
wrapped with
delicate designs
frail foil
perfect corners
and invisible tape
glittering comings
soon to be going
destined to be
crumpled
rumpled
and recycled
for excitement’s
sake
and in the frenzied
from and to
He watches his
birthday
come
and go
His presents
already
scattered
the message
somewhat tattered
upturned carts
in the temple
of our souls.
RULES
In the possibilities that exist in this existence implausible but true confessions
happen out loud sometimes just to confuse and then astound the ewe the
sudden materialization of someone never there the cell phone call is ruled by
rules from Heaven there. In a perfect world no one would talk at all no need to
share the info no need to make the call everyone would know where everyone
