Build a store
Go to war
Make a collection
Get an infection
Put on airs
In cross hairs
Safe and sound
Boots on the ground
Price some clothes
Urine glows
Comfort zone
Combat zone
Get a bank loan
Airplane flown
Junior League
Army fatigue
Build a store
Go to war

Chants of Mortals
From the first cry out of the womb like a bay window
Life presents a combat zone
Though maternal and puny
The soul knew it was an eternal race
Tick-tack, tick-tack the race began
Moments in life unfolds like a lotus
Laying hold on the peduncle of hope
Each day breeds disquietude
From a child, to the springtime of life, to the withering age
Birth with unbeatable potentials
A time of unrest and a time of peace
A time of defeat and a time of victory
Embodies the vulnerabilities of life until the final breath

Life
Life may be tough
Days may be rough
But u still have the power
You still have the vigor to conquer
the tower of failure,
Yes life may be tough
Sure life can be rough
But you still have a road to drive
You still have the mind to fight
Nothing is simple in life
You just need to strive
So work up from your comfort zone
And get into your combat zone.

~Prayer For Those In The Armed Forces~
(Candleholder of Light)
O God of Mercy
To You I pray
Give them courage
When they come to You
Heal within their soul
Just make them whole
Pain they've known
Help when they're alone
They're in combat zone
And it can get so hard
Difficult to see
O God of mercy
Come to their help
Come to their help
To You I pray
Please hear their groan
If hurting give them comfort
They fight for freedom, help them thru
O God of Mercy, to You I pray.

Are you allowing them to turn you into sheeple?
We do not live in a country that is “For the people”
There seems to be no real desire to change the status quo
The government plays the media like a puppet show
The big businesses decide what the news will be
The “reporters” just “report” what they are told, you see
It seems so obvious if you open your eyes
Do your own research; be a skeptic, the media lies.
It seems so obvious, that they transgress
We are all pawns in their game of chess
They try to dumb us down with mindless reality shows
To keep us quiet while the misrepresentation grows
How can we sit idly by?
While they continue to lie
I pray for truth
Who will you choose at the voting booth?
I challenge you to step up and let your voice be known
The joke is on us in our “battleground America” combat zone
Don’t allow them to turn you into sheeple
Become a country that is once again “For the People”

Alone
Cut straight to the bone,
In the middle of this combat zone,
Sounds so full blown,
To me it's just another stepping stone,
If I only had a clone,
noone should have to be alone,
My heart beats slow,
For it's covered in stone,
Inside feels like home,
I was ripped from my throne,
Here just to pospone,
Added to be the unknown,
My voice has no real tone,

Moving toward the absurd as war in Baghdad goes on,
along with the print traffic jam and airwaves;
continues to unfold horror stories, deaths: a tinku
that spew out of Iraq – the ancient Middle East sand.
Skepticism has drawn a timely relevance,
that predicts the future as a major stand;
sending troops in the combat zone, a 50/50 case
either a winning or losing in the battle ground.
Like a cacophany of voices across the land,
So deep and lugubrious that pervades –
‘enough! we’re helpless and marginalized’
a reflection that’s claims stop and be reconciled.
The steady stream of U.S. young soldiers
being sent to fight and be part of the plan
adds sinews to war but not a total assurance
where success can be at hand or defeat in the long run.
Antiwar sentiments hover like a gospel cry,
with globalized reactions bonded with supplications;
a great deal of struggles among people of cultures,
that someday peace will reign and sing glory to God on high.

I am fed up
And I am scared
I don’t understand this at all
I don’t deserve this, and it isn’t fair
Why is this happening to me?
Why can I not find the answers I am looking for?
Just when I think things can not get any worse
The next ones comes along and it is worse than the one before
Medication works on certain days
Then it’s like I am on my own
Everyday and night
It’s like my body is in a combat zone
Sometimes they are barely noticeable
Other times, I am almost thrown to the floor
I do not remember getting drafted
But I am diffidently fighting a war

Form: I do not know?
How long have you waited,
for the memories to cease?
How long have you suffered,
as they took piece by piece?
I’ve seen the emotional anguish,
in your heart and in your eyes.
I’ve heard the horrid events,
on the news and thru your lies.
You tell me it wasn’t that bad,
as the media described it to be.
You tell me that living in Iraq,
was a small price paid to be free.
But I don’t see you liberated;
I see a man who’s lost and alone.
Still under attack each night;
silently residing in a combat zone.
Our lives have forever changed,
your heart has turned to black.
Suffering by yourself in solitude,
as you wait for the next attack.

I feel so extremely lonely,
Even though I know I am not alone.
There are always people around me,
But it feels like a combat zone.
People are always fighting with each other,
It seems hardly anyone gets along anymore.
I, sometimes, wonder why I even bother,
I, sometimes, wonder what I am here for.
You used to be my bright, shining star,
The one who renewed my faith in humanity.
But you've changed, become like they are,
It fills my head with more insanity.
You were so compassionate and caring,
But lately you seem cold and unmoving.
It seems like your heart has been buried,
And once again my love needs proving.
