“...The great teacher inspires.“ William Arthur Ward

“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s a spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.” Amy Collette

“Gratitude turns what we have into enough” Anonymous

THANK YOU MR. FOX

What does the Fox say -
his kind eyes, emphatically speak;
his hopped-up ears in tune.

A sheltered girl sans life experience
in a room full of snapping turtles.

Mr. Fox did not extinguish the timid light.
Instead he sprinkled ideas — fireworks explode.

The Fox says very little and so much.
His pointed ears and gentle spirit
saw hope in a teenage cocoon.

The Fox was wise...his tale goes on in mine.
Dendrites lift you up — rolling out the clouds.

Regret

(none fiction)

A Godmother I will never honor for she reminds me of
My mother and my own Godmother Collette.
Yes! indeed my son Godmother.
A heart of stone she became after the birth of my son.
she was not the one that went through all my bad experience.
All my horror experience came from them and my own kind not from thee.
Of course my son Father did make any better.
he became the adjective. Like a icing on a cake.
no honor, no blessing will come from me not by giving grace
For I will never forget her heart of stone from her cold face.

A Breath of Air

A Breath of Air

By Dawn Collette Mclaughlin

Breathing in a freezing air
As it passes lips warming
Till the freshness stills
In a heated meet
Collided entwined melts.

Blood rushes throw his veins
Beating drums of his heart
Sinking in a breathless pulse
Eyes still parallel each other.

She surfs the tides slowly
Embracing every ripple of this ocean
No fear of drowning forbidden sin
Holding the hands clinching tight
Sometimes the soft wave
Turns to a torrent a tidal wave.

Dawn Mclaughlin. @Dawn2013.

A Step In Front

Dawn Collette Mclaughlin

future is a journey
The steps we walk forward
Every now and then
A crack in our path
Making a obstacle
Swerve in a broken track
Just keep walking
With your head up high
Missing the ground of faults
With a smile stroll tall
Fate is all in front
Since the minute we are born
So leave the negative
Infuse positive breath it

All This

ALL THIS

By Dawn Collette Mclaughlin

All this is much
all this is me
all this i breath
all this i need.

inspiration a feeling inside made my thumbs type each word, not knowing where it was going, but knowing it was sent with words just blessed

Invisible so it seems
eyes closed no vision
dark clouds at the door
knocking hard upon this heart
invisible from the very start.

Stronger than you think
Bright like a diamond sapphires
Not so unseen visible
Shine yes you
Be a rare hard to find
Priceless.

LOOKING NOT SEEING

We look but don't see
darkened steps walked,
searching never finding,
look inside
if you feel it
you know happiness
is what you are
what you have
need is want
want is greed
greed we feed
of more and more
another door closed
plenty more open,
waiting a lifetime
is worth much more
for when we are ready
a light will shine
our path bright.
