Mazda Owner Turns Mazda Loser

Clements’ Mazda fully in control
Just crazily ran out of petrol,
His Humble Catarrh out of control
With obvious depletion of Menthol;
Not a thing solved by mere vitriol
Or plunging into angry patrol…

A hateful running out of supplies,
Both car and organ needing replies:
To surfacing at a bank complies;
A use of its ATN implies…

Next, straight dash to a filling station,
Never trying to Mammon ration:
At the nearest waiting pharmacy,
Thousands simply spending, no mercy:
For The Stranded after 10:00pm
Dreams not at all of eluding them…

Mazda Owner Turns Mazda Loser,
Snatcher with Family now User!

can't stop till I read
every single one of them
why -in-the-world- not?

good, bad, in-between
virtues, vices, and feelings
it all takes me back

youthful nostalgia
library psychiatry
free book catharsis

my inner-school-self
needs literary healing
ongoing escape

Premium MemberSmall Vase

Username: "Small vase"
signifying my new start
fresh, sweet, delicate

plucking fresh new words
from an overgrown conscience
must contain myself

what can I offer
in my spiritual bouquet
my thoughts, hopes, dreams, prayers

blue forget-me-nots
fit in with the small bouquet
forget me not, too

Inspired to re-join Poetry Soup today by reading this:

"In the wide garden,
I am dizzy with flowers.
I choose a small vase."

~Author's note by Andrew Clements
for his children's poetry picture book "Dogku"

He writes,
"That's what a haiku is like -- like a small vase, a small container. Choosing a small container can help you pick the perfect words and arrange them just right. And why did I write this picture book using haiku? Because a picture book is also a small container -- not many pages, not many words.
Adorable dog + haiku = Dogku.
Simple."

Lunar Life

Waxing and waning,
Giving and taking,
Walking and waving,
Using and making.

As the moon’s gravity pushes and pulls the tides by,
Your legacy, a single wave, is merely but a sigh,
But let this not be all, pull your waves up high,
Yes! high and mighty, as the hawk soars the sky.

Enlighten everyone with your bright side,
Ensure that your dark side is suppressed,
In trustworthy friends and wandering comets, you must confide,
Leave those that look upon your orbit impressed.

Push and thrash against your gravitational limits,
The best thing isn’t likely the thing you’re attracted to,
But like Finn and Sawyer in the books of Sam Clements,
It’s the people that pull you down and pick you up when your too high or blue.

Once a long time ago, you too were a growing crescent,
You had your entire cycle ahead of you, as free as a bird,
But let’s get real where time’s escaping, let’s get back to the present,
Use this time to give all those celestial bodies you did wrong, a redeemable word.

Periodic table of elements

Periodic table of elements,
the true heart of chemistry,
Law of periodicity clements,
Mendeleev is not a history !

Bonding between two hearts,
ignoring all the negatives,
When breaks and rips apart,
defying the electro positives,

Atoms randomly disperse,
Directionless, blinded and betrayed,
Valencies in their course traverse,
Swaying in the numbers brigade !
