She gave her word and I just believed,
was the best thing that happened to me,
but, before long, on camera I see
her sneaking with a man who lives up the street.

Probed her for truth, but, oh, she just lie,
never had a hint of guilt in her eyes,
how can someone feel that justified,
even showed her the tape,

Friendship built on sand

thought i'd stand by you
while you lied and cheated

you thought i'd watch
and help along the way

well you thought wrong
i want no part of it

Set Me Free

Set me free to love again—
You’re holding me much too tight.
And if you won’t turn me loose,
I think I’ll lose my mind.

Because you don’t really love me,
But you hold me anyway.
You refuse to set me free—
Just something that you own.

I’ll try again later.
Some other day, perhaps.
Right now I’m much too tired,

Cheating Cheetah!

A cheetah’s caught cheating – bad lad
Is punished by Mum, THEN by Dad
He’d cribbed his homework
His dad went berserk
This cheater got caught, I’m so glad!

A cheating cheetah

A cheetah was caught on the prowl,
Enticing the females with growl.
He’d vanish by night,
To mate with delight~
A lifestyle that makes others howl.

12am, alone in my room
crying.
shaking.
just wondering—
what made you do it?
why did you hide her?
why did you lie and tell me
everything was “fine”
you said you loved me
maybe you only loved having a toy
something you could use
then toss out
maybe i didn’t mean anything to you
maybe i wasn’t ever anything.

Scarlet Paradise

In the storm of my mind,
You were my quiet yearning.
Nothing to hold onto, nothing to chase,
Nobody can adjust to this phase.

Do not claim the jargon words,
Words mean nothing when they are hollow.
Letters and pauses are only the reflections of my urge

Do you hide yours in your tight, clinging jeans?
When out at night, chasing some hot, young queens?

The Cheating Man

(Inspired by Stevie Wonder’s “Part-time Lover”)

The cheating man believes he is so clever.
He makes up lame excuses to go and see
his mistress, yet he does not want to sever
his marriage, for no decency has he.
He doesn’t seem to realize his wife
can possibly be “onto” him. The fool
prefers to have two women in his life.
Ignoring marriage

A vague sin

The thorn of the black rose
pierced my skin. 
Causing blood to drip off my finger 
And blanket the magnolia...

Mortal Conflict

I would love to speak to you alone, 
No one could ever guess my aggressive tension.
I would like to call you a moron,
