Card Game

Handed a deck of
Twos and
Threes,

Yet expected to have
Kings and
Queens.

You have anything less
Than a jack?

Prepare to be a reject.

Death Over a Card Game

Would say sorry
But I'm not
Yeah, drank too much
Whats new? Lost my touch

Game of queens got heated
Couldn't stay seated
Lost my hand, lost my money
It wasn't alright honey

Not that night

Dim lights,
Drunken fights
I had a bone to pick
Losing money makes me sick

Look, things were said
I know you're dead
But I wasn't in my senses not to shoot
But I cleaned myself, washed my suit

And washed the blood away

Would say I'm sorry
But I'm not
The power in me was glowing
And the adrenaline was flowing

Didn't mean to let the bullet fly
Not because you would die
But because I wasn't in my senses
But at least now, I can pay my expenses

Card Game

The Queen of Spades trumps all
In our game of hearts
And other organs
Tangled in Greek and Latinate names
Ependymoma
Epinephrine
Endymion
Wake up, Shepherd!
The Black and the Red
Call you
Kings and Queens battle
The rules don’t allow for discarding
Draw from the deck,
Choking the progress with wheeling lights and coloured geometric shapes
Hearts
Spades
Diamonds
Like crystals
Crystal methamphetamine to make the cards fly faster
Clubs
Club the senses
Introduce new shades, purple kush
Orange and yellow sunrise
Swirling blue and gold
Smoke goes up and enter the kaleidoscope.
Your kaleidoscope is white
Fluorescent light
Perfect background to lay the tricks
Deal the hands
And take your pick
Buy? Fold? Try again?
And when we’re done
We’ll pick them up, one by one
Put them in order again
And lay them away in the dark.
Sleep, Endymion.
The Queen with the black eyes is your sign
In dreams, everything is fine.

Card Game

You know what amazing…you speak of your age and me not wanting to be with you-sex wise-
But when you are hurt, you forget the million times you hurt me, constantly, on a consistent
time. I’m tired of asking you the same questions!

“Are you coming?” I would ask.

              “You’re sure!” I ask again.

“Yes…! I’m coming! And if you ask me one…more… time…! I’m not coming
anywhere again!”

That’s your favorite line. You must ask yourself-How much she’ll take. Does she love me that
much? I’m tired! And fed the hell up! It’s time you take a look at yourself.

You hurt people with no remorse! No apology! No calls! Not even a simple text! I sometimes
wonder if you can read.

Try to do something!

I’m too young to put up with your BS. I don’t want anyone else… but you’re forcing my hand.

A Card Game

Life is a card game
Your dealt the hand
Now you most chose
How to play if you wantta win
Only you can make the choice
Cause everyone else is playing too

Your gonna make mistakes
Your gonna be worng
You need to listen close
But you need to talk to
You'll soon know the differences

But it takes time to learn
It's not all something you'll know
Right from the get go
Take a friends hand
Walk with them
Listen to their advice

Think the hand over
Don't just rush in to it
You gotta move slow
But you'll only be dished so much at a time
So relax besides
You'll never walk alone

Sometimes you have to take a risk
Other times just fold your hand
And walk away the better person
Cause you wont always win
But just remember
You gotta make the call

Do you fold or do you draw??
