Christmas tablecloth
Red mugs, hot chocolate
Cinnamon candle

We, so lovingly
Just like kids, dunk marshmallows
Sniffing the candle

Beneath the table,
Our feet do a romantic dance
Quite a sensual trance!

Balcony looks out,
Streets wet, lights off, somebody dreams.
A candle will start

Farolitos: lanterns of candlelight;
Luminarias: outdoor fires of pine.
Both light quiet path on a Christmas night
for Mary and Joseph, old ones define
messages that the new babe is divine.

A candle in sack borrows from the two:
a delicate, hanging Chinese lantern,
and small fires left as a signal, in lieu
of rocks and tree signs, which later we learn
prompted phones and texts that we now discern.

Small fires still left, but a radiant glow
of Farolitos light wall and pathway.
All over cities and hamlets they show
an amazing, yet reverent, display
of warm stillness that gentles end of day.

Premium MemberThe Twisted Church Candle

I noticed that the candle was not straight
It lit the altar but was twisted and quaint
The sermon to my ears sounded so faint
To my eyes, the church candle was not straight

A Christmas congregation in candle light
Our bodies in obeisance, backs upright
chorus singers in tune with octaves eight
Yet the Church candle I knew was not straight

We waited in patience in queues till late
To receive the blessings to change our fate
To help us prepare for the pearly gates
Still in my mind, candle was not straight!

A day in church for some holy inspiration
distracted, lost to the candle’s angulation
On reflection candle light was divine bright
I should have just ignored it wasn’t straight!

Admire the good in others and ignore the defects
Overlook the faults in them, and find them perfect!

                 Christmas Soul Candle

You are the candle that glows and flickers,
in my candescent heart!
That decades old brilliance of which I still
happily sing about.

Now, that Christmas is coming near,
Years of gratitude and joy,
Hover with silent footstep ever so near.

The lights on the tree, but colorful
reflections of you.
Brightly twinkling, imtoxicating.
like your wondrous Arcadian eyes still do.

The Candle

The tradition in our house,
is a wax candle in the window.
It is set there to keep the light on…
all night.

Grandma told me a story,
When I was little, very little,
about a lost soul on the road.
The darkness was so great…
it was all consuming.
Fear had over taken the sad empty man,
and he could not find home.

God’s light came into the world,
One to another we spread His name.
A light in every window, to save the lame.
The Christmas birth… a miracle.

People light their houses,
It is a joyous recognition to His royal birth.
Decorations and celebrations,
to bring the missing home.

That is the story grandma gave me.
That is the tradition of Our house.
That is the life of Our home.
God is the Light of the world.
Amen.

Christmas Candle

This Year at Christmas Time
I Think What I Shall Do
Is Light a Christmas Candle
And this I'll Do for You

You've Been Gone a Long Time
And I Still Miss You So
I See Your Star in Heaven
And Oh, How it Does Glow

I Know We'll Meet Again
But It's Been Hard For Me
Especially Through The Family Times
I'd Just as Soon Not See

So This Year at Christmas
To Feel Closer to You
As We Set Down to Dinner
A Candle Will See Me Through

So Until We Meet Again
When Things Are Hard For Me
I'll Light My Christmas Candle
And Sit by the Christmas Tree

Candle Lit

Candle lit
This Christmas I truly only want you,
I wrote my list to the man in red too!
I want to wake up christmas morn and find
you with nothing but a bow as to bind

the ribbon so elegantly wrapped
around your soft curves, so softly strapped.
Imagine the excitement as I start
To tear those revealing ribbons apart
And drag my soft finger arcoss your chest,
and slightly kiss each part of you no less!
Underneath the candle lit room you scream
Enjoying the pleasures from me, it seems
Tis the season to be jolly this year
And the only thing that I'll want to hear
Is for you to say Merry Christmas!

Carols By Candle Light

Christmas is a time
Of many traditions
Like carol singing
With candle lit processions

But not anymore
A years old tradition
Has to had to go
For fear of litigation

“Health and safety”
So gets on my wick
As this year we had
Carols by glow stick
