My lungs fill as I inhale the smoky haze of the September breeze.
Overcast skies stare down on me until the guilt drenches my bones.

Red and white glory freely flies
Mapleleaf, strong and proud, framed by bright blue skies

When you ask me who I am,
I can not be sure what to say.
Am I a savage woman?

I was born to grand mountains high,
sky of blue and clouds drifting by;
to walk and seek a flawless view,
through woods I find birds of bright blue.
It is my passion . . . I admit,
sunlit wilderness to moonlit; 
alpine meadows and trails that twine,
supine moments blissful . . . divine.
