I dreamt about a snowstorm
One that wasn't small
I dreamt about a long red coat
That seemed to cover all
I wondered what was doing
The red coat did unfold
And when I saw beneath it
Inquired, "Aren't you cold?"

Temps are low. Winter’s here.
Fire’s aglow, bringing cheer.

BRRR - Rhyme
B
Radiant sunlight shines through twinkling new snowflakes
Rainbows of ice peek out in a rhapsody of reflections
Ripples of color reborn now rejoice like crystal keepsakes

It's only half way through year
and summers not been too brill
we think it'll soon be over
our thoughts move over the hill
As the cold winds start coming
then yesterday's sun has gone down
the temperatures will get lower
in the country as well as in town
So the ultimate will have come
brrr brrr frost yea him Jack Frost
with a nasty sting in his tail
those early morns you'll pay the cost
You feel your fingertips go numb
can't get them warm at all
even wooly gloves don't effect
just like you're a stuffed doll
At least frost cures the colds
keeps nose clear away from bugs
so we'll get wrapped up ready for Jack
keep close together giving plenty hugs
( I know its spring in UK but just thoughts on looking back on winter)

Sand Spur Ruined Reunion
Things outside so often seem to occur
Like present of a protruding sand spur
Which I want to pull out and discard
Before they completely cover the whole yard.
Things that traumatically happen can be true;
What started out as a single are only a few
From soil many nutrients started demanding;
Number obviously ended up being outstanding.
Never knew their source of original origin
But still keep coming back again and again;
Outlandish has become all of their activity;
Won't see them in scenes which are nativity.
After finally, furiously growing up so fast,
They will become part of a prevalent past,
And even though I were to shed a tiny tear
The bastards would still be back next year.

Winter's here, I'll be cold for months
Each year it's the same old thing
The cold never used to bother me much
Can't wait till that first day of Spring
Guess it's age that's made the difference
Our law says I must love the snow
Canadian, that's why, but I've had too many
Want the weather gods to know
Oh yes it was great when I was a toddler
Those days are long gone I'm afraid
Curl up under a blanket in November
Till the robins once again invade
Might even lose my Canadian citizenship
If no one alerts them I'll be safe
So please dear friends, keep it to yourself
Or I'll writing from a prison base
