We were burning
When they were busy laughing, mocking!
Open up and accept the world....!
Wake-up 'Oh world' - wake up to the good times!
listen with thy heart for the song that rhymes!
Groping in the dark with eyes and ears shut,
yet consuming in greed in all forms like a glut!
Open thy eyes and gaze all around thyself;
there is more in this world than running behind 'pelf'!
Onomatopoeia of the birds and the bees,
morning Sun accompanied with a pleasant cool breeze!
The incessant rolls of the waves and the way it paves;
cares a hoot about the have-nots and the haves!
The callous sway of the trees and it's leaves,
Peckers, Roosters, and the Brooders it heaves!
The fragrance, the music, the calm and the still,
will open the mind and find life within to instill!
This world will leave us or us the world in time,
open the mind and accept the world in its own chime!
Arm deals and more arm deals, that's all I see.
Calibres change, the type of artillery
Changes, the game players grey and go and
Are replaced by darker capillary
With greater thirst for bleeding enemy
And with more dangerous artillery.
Deadly toys in the hands of eager youth,
Intended for warding off intruders:
Scaring them with heaps of artillery
So that they would harder prepare soldiers
If the should covet and desire to loot.
In their minds they have peace in their brooders.
But to brood over unused firepower
While only playing with blanks on dummies
Kindles unquiet thirst only blood can quench
Kills empathy for sonless war mummies,
And in blasts of gun smoke the youth's flower
Drowns its thirst in the thud of fall'n bodies.
