A WALK TO THE POND

As the sun dips beneath the horizon
For a stroll, I walk down to the pond
Greeted by the gentle caress of the evening breeze
Left I was amazed with nature's bliss.

I see, a charming Lily tending to its young
Diligently pouring love; humming a song
I smiled in return as it grins
An eclipse; two worlds collide.

The Lotus scorn as the Sun goes down
Even as anger marks its expression
Its red radiates with the dying rays
Casting shadows of complete bliss.

At the far end of the pond
Bromeliads rejoice deepening their bond
As they peacefully open up
To embrace the sweet quiet night.

Premium MemberThe Lady Down the Lane

Cold and lonely vines cling
-desperation in their naked rattles
and envy in the hint of gold on the hedge
from the taunting forsythia.
She had always crept out by now
on these seductive days that hinted Spring,
hands softened by nurturing
african violets, bright bromeliads and
the hanging spider, witness of many
years gone and now passed.

Until at last … no one came …

Premium MemberSpring Flowers

April showers coax angelonias
Bromeliads and red begonias
Corn flowers of purple and blue
Dusty millers with yellow hues
Elderflowers in a living bouquet
Fairy wigs thrown in the array
Geraniums, a bloody red and
Horned violets, lead down, to the shed
Indigo Agapanthus aromas fill the air
Jacob's ladders adorn the stairs
Kelanchoe of red and pink
Labrador violets are quite distinct
Mulberry trees blooming white, with
Narcissus early spring's delight
Orchids add to a colorful sight
Pansies,pionies, periwinkle and
Quince quickly grow from a sprinkle
Rockrose in lavender's clutch
Snapdragons provide a yellowish touch
Texas bluebells just for fun
Umbrella Magnolia's provide shade from the sun
Verbenas blossom, parading red like strumpets
Wood sorrels looking like purple trumpets
Xeranthemums long slender tubes
Yarrow kissed hummingbirds spread the news, to
Zephyr flower loving honey bees, spring is in full bloom

The Amazon River

The Amazon River

The Capybara wades the shore
A Wooly monkey climbs a vine
To search for food up on the trees
The Amazon that I adore
Its total nature I will bind
Bromeliads have blushed with love
Blending in the waters shore

The Jaguar stalks to hunt his food
The Anaconda will digest
His conquest on the night before
Humans carefully sense the mood
The Fuana find their time to rest
Anteaters sniff upon the floor
for ants and bugs to sense for food

The Dolphins rise up then they fly
Agressively create a scene
Boats pass on by and view the sight
As a silent Caiman wades on by
The quiet of the night serene
Stars surround the forest night
The Dragonflies decide to fly

Stillness in the eerie night
Nature's forces will blend in
Insects sit on exquisite leaves
A struggle of each species plight
Resplendent as they'll all akin
Coalescing as they interweave
The Amazon and all its might

My Heart Is Waiting...

My heart is waiting......playing such a sweet instrument!
my thoughts have been plastered into poems so people close to me won't have to hear them.
tomorrow i am going to separate the bromeliads to make them happy.

Falling For the Second Time

Falling For The Second Time

Did I just fall again
Took a tumble down
I think I did
The satin brown red
And left a burglar mark
Of impassioned fingerprints
And disheveled my breath

Did I once come up for air
From under the taught ache of her whisper

Though she set me to coals amber smolders
I could not find any more beauty
More keen
Than cry she let rip for me
Stabbed my heart with Bromeliads

I think it was then
That I fell again
Tripping down soft sighs
To her throat
Where the scent of felicity lingered
Breaking recumbent
Beckoning

I hung intoxicated in a hair trigger bewitchment

Falling again

To the curls hidden secret
Where her eyes abandoned their focus
A Siren she called to me
And pierced the will of resistance
To the heart pounding moment
Fired bolt of yearnings want
Felled me

I fell

Falling again

In love
