Brahma Iii

Brahma III

The frivolous life lives vainly
looking at a phantom, chasing after illusion;
men accuse one another thinking their life is real,
fight each other thinking they are existing. Today as well,
I wander in the valley of maya(1) upholding a banner of avidya.(2)

When I see blooms
dance joyfully in the air with butterfly.
When I see flowers wilted

Brahma Ii

—Brahma eva idam visvam(1)—

A life neither has beginning because beginning is Brahma
or end because end is Brahma, it rides on a wagon named Karma(2)
and goes as a wheel whirls.

I came to this very spot becoming a sun, a moon and the stars
following the stream which carries anguish, and one day
I must cross; since it’s

Brahma I

If Brahma is Brahma I also am Brahma,
then why am I wandering on a not real way
holding something I don’t know in my hand?

I can lead my life toward good
because everything is Brahma, but I can live

Dream of Brahma

I sleep
I dream
dream of Brahma

I am
a drop
of water in a vast ocean

I love
I dream
which is the dream?
which is the dreamer?
or is both an illusion?

I am told
everything happens
for a reason

There is this woman
we love
a thing to be done

Maybe illusion
is the first
of all pleasures

Love can be magic
magic can sometimes
just be an

Brahma Dark

Death rides a pale horse, it is often quoted
to resurrecting bitter memories it is devoted
But the killer of dreams is Brahma dark
and with a twist of its head, hits its mark

I’ve ridden the memories until I’ve about lost count
Sometimes I wonder which of us is actually keeping score
and I’d gladly welcome that pale mount
just to

Brahma Ballet

To a Bullfighter & a Brahma
All the arena is a stage
Each tap & twist leaves them surprised
As the crowd sits mesmerized

In baggy, tattered pants & paint
With athletic grace to the left he’ll feint
Taking the lead in a dangerous dance
Knowing he’s a cowboy’s only chance

This Brahma ballet is danced every night
Amidst the dust, the noise &
