The Smiths are such a beautiful family. They have
three lovely children. One girl and two boys. She
was eight months pregnant with a baby girl. They
were very excited, but this bundle of joy could be
a savior and a healer. Her sweet daughter Amanda
was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago; It had
been so hard on the family. The doctors told her that
Amanda needed a bone marrow transplant.Preferably
they needed a blood relative. Both parents got tested,
the two boys, and other relatives, but no one was a match.
They’re also part of the Bone Marrow Registry. They have
not found a match yet, so the Smith's thought long and
hard. They had to have a life to possibly save a life. After
many days and long nights they decided to have another
child. They were so tired of watching their baby girl suffer.
The Smiths are so hopeful, but they have no idea if
their bundle of joy is going to be a match or not………….............

Inspiration
Gave of himself in my family’s time of most desperate need
As my family faced sudden homelessness, full speed
Rarely does one witness such sacrifice
Yet he is not even a blood relative, indeed
We three have lived in his home…he, my son and me
Escaped severe displacement…instead held harmony
Love became an absolute verb
Love has come to me from the least likely places
I pay a nominal rent, nothing is free
No family member even offered, ghosts to me
Gary forfeited his privacy, giving my son and I each a room
rather than he…Who does that?
I am blessed to have another friend I choose to call family!
My love and gratitude always, Jill

when a friend that you consider to be closer to you than a blood relative
leaves your general area of comfort
it can
split you in
two---
if at the right time in your life
(when the whole world seems like it is caving in on
what you have left)
everything
begins
to break apart &
your dear friend,
seeking their own peace & happiness in their own life,
moves away from your comfort zone,
so that the literal distance couples with the
actual emotional distance,
with trembling hands reaching out,
age can claw at your eyes
tearing your face in half
because
you cannot stand in their way
but then you cannot bear to see them go &
no paper bag will help with the breathing
no pills can soothe the
hurt that comes from pure, unadulterated,
selfishness---
biting nails
peeling blood from the bone
biting the bone &
bleeding to death in your
apartment…
with flickering eyes of near death
you realize just how dependent you were on another &
how much it took from you to
care.
