You can draw with the yellow ink
while I draw with the green one
Take your yellow ink
and you will sketch the islands of:
Grand Bahama, Abaco, Cay Sal Bank
Bimini, Berry Islands, Andros,
New Providence and Eleuthera
against the dark skin of my backbone
Now I will take my green ink
and will sketch the islands of:
Exuma, Cat Island, Long Island,
Rum Cay, San Salvador,
Conception Island,
Acklins, Mayaguana,
Crooked Island, Samana Cay,
Ragged Island, Little and Great Inagua
against the light skin of your backbone
Finally we both will take our inks
of azurite shades of blue
will shade in the bodies of:
The Great Bahama Bank
The Little Bahama Bank
The Tongue of The Ocean
Exuma Sound, The Bight of Acklins
and the Florida Straits
against the flesh and backbones
of each other like human canvases
together forming a unique
little archipelago chain of our very own
to embrace the proud Bahamians
we are both on the inside

Oh, without this jet phobia, here's what I'd do:
Go traveling to Bimini, then on to Peru.
We'd hop on an aeroplane, and be there by noon.
We'd take in the sights, hike up Machu Picchu.
It sure would be fun if I could go with you…
The aeroplane's my enemy; I know this is true.
The pilot's a nightmare, and I don't trust the crew.
I'd travel the world; wish that dream could come true.
To hurtle through space leaves me nerves all unglued,
And I lose my resolve just like smoke through a flue.
Can't break away on holiday; this fear, I can't lose.
So I flip on the telly, take a journey, then snooze.

The blue waters of the North Atlantic,
deceptively calm, are shrouded in mystery
in the deadly Bermuda triangle,
delineated by many as a paranormal swathe,
where series of unexpected events, unexplained,
made many aircraft and ships to strangely disappear.
Despite the belief of manufactured mystery,
the Devil’s triangle attracted many elucidations…
the influence of the lost continent of Atlantis,
the magnetism of submerged Bimini Road formation,
the Gulf stream upwelling the marine gas hydrates,
but as yet no consensus has emerged.
The plausible explanation may well be the linked causal trinity,
synchronizing to define the enigmatic triangle.

I crashed on your planet
right into the sea;
while I am at home here
have found many like me;
they have no clue as to how
I can return.
So please help me...
you’ll find me in Bimini,
an Octopus with human feet.

Undersea exploration comes to me in my dreams
As a fish in the deep I see only faint sunbeams
Enough light there is to reveal a lost continent
I wonder what led to this golden age’s descent
Colorful fish swim among ruins of a pyramid
A former city’s gilded streets, giant squid now float amid
Huge, submerged statues of gods suddenly catch my eye
Just as a fish-tailed, sweet mermaid happens to swim by
Stroking through the water as sea plants flourish below
Unquenchable curiosity continues to grow
Is this Atlantis? Am I on the Bimini Road?
Buildings here have cryptic writings I cannot decode
Schools of many other fish are surrounding me now
Are they wondering too? Or just seeking plankton chow?
When I awake in my bed, the sheets are soaking wet
And my body is writhing in a chilling night sweat
The sights I had seen provoked deep-founded fears
The North Pole is said to shift every ten thousand years
That time is approaching; may I return to the sea?
Let me dwell in the ocean as landlubbers flee
The earth rises and sinks on a regular basis
Only in the ocean will I find my oasis

Some people think knots are for boy scouts and sailors
Cowboys, hangmen,Anglers and whalers
But knots have many jobs to do
To make this point I'll name a few
turning two heavy ropes into one?
The Carrick bend will get that done.
Do you need a loop at your rope's end?
On the figure eight you can depend.
Are you scaling walls of the steepest pitch?
You'ld be wise to perfect your Munter hitch.
Are you fishing one line, but wishing for two?
The Bimini twist can make that come true.
Please judge your knots by function and form
For if you tie them wrong
Your fish could be lost, Your boat could get tossed
Or your plummet could be mighty long
Here comes the judge contest
