I trace every move you make,
I trace every note you breathe.
But you're a Mozart in disguise
How could I ever compete?
Blind with tears and rage,
I compared myself to what seemed bulletproof,
All while my doubts built up inside,
Forming an invisible bruise.
I tried to be more like you
Though I knew it was no use.
I swallowed all your words,
Like bitter, sacred juice.
What once was admiration
Turned into unhealthy obsession.
I was far too lost,
Blind to your quiet imperfections.
I called it love, but it proved to be venom.
I tried to be you, all the same.
I wore your voice like a second skin
And on the way, I lost my name.
I wish I had seen earlier: I can never be you,
No matter how I chased your tone.
After all, your song must be your own
And mine must learn to stand alone.

For long I have been loyal
Served you without biasness
No matter the condition
I remained strong.
I was your favorite
Picked me up every time
Left the others there wondering
I wondered too…why always me?
Every journey has an ending
I thought mine was unique
No I was wrong all along
My time had not arrived yet
It was just by accident
You handled me with no care
Slipped out of your hands
Landed on the tiled floor heavily
I’m no longer special
You don’t pick me anymore
Now you want me thrown in the bin
Calling me useless cup because I’m broken

The laws of life
audited and penned by life itself
laws, like giving
must, be balanced
by it's receiving end
The laws of taking
is rated by the replacing
as with light is with darkness
or the moon with gravity
and restful activity
The laws of goodness
to be pitted against that of evil
and vanity to be beaten
by humility's bended knees
as pride takes it's fall
The laws of love
will and always overcome hate
and leaves prejudice
with biasness to fumble
at the bottom of the golden gate
It is the laws of the God of all
that cannot be ignored
For the books of life
will be balanced
by the Almighty Auditor Himself
