Best Wondrously Poems
The day my life commenced … wondrously great
Propels each endeavour as good success
Surely designed and authored by the Lord
Who grants grace, sufficiently abundant
Toward grand fulfillment, never worthless.
First among those days is my blissful birth
As parents’ love-fruit who bloomed in their care
Following such are triumphant moments
Marked with milestones, carved and etched in my heart
Worth thanking God for with joyous praises.
My second birth is best of all the days
Divinely miraculous, since Christ-wrought
Quickening my spirit from being slain
Healing with forgiveness my sin-sick soul
Assuring me gift of eternal life.
The rest, I label as marvelous days
Though stained with failures and frustration woes
Others are notable, leaving me scars
But reigning are significant days’ bliss
Spent through faith-function for Saviour’s glory.
My days* to me are Almighty’s presents
Precious against selfishness’ futile greed
Cherished treasures for glad earnest sharing
While consumed devoid of any regret…
Such is my prayer midst human weakness.
*Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Cassio Laps Wondrously
An open porch, gifts spritely legs
on all his fours, meows he begs
so opens I, a tuna can
not be prepared, a stray in tan
that came to be for many years
a wandering did set in fears
yet his return continued on
meows are heard, that be his song
untimely death outside our door
car screeching sound could not ignore
near fronts our yard, the roses bloom
midst stands a cross neath lies his tomb
heartfelt love, receptive wills he
laps Heaven's milk, eternally.

All Pets Go To Heaven

My folks said I have a gold butterfly,
That lives within till the day I die
To keep me safe from all adventures made;
And guide my walkways as these fingers prayed.
But while I grew in the movement of time
My paths escaped me like splatters of grime,
For this heart that endured a trail of cares
Became torn with seasons’ weight of repairs.
Across the glass pane, hues bathed on the mound
Cocooned in her nest , a gold monarch crowned …
Though feeling low from life's dreams unaddressed
I wondered if she came , an omen blessed.
My mouth froze, O this vision of surprise
A pageant of twinkling gold butterflies!

You've added another year onto your life
And with it, wisdom and trust
Another year of friendship
Of happiness, thought, and love.
You've added a new job
As well as a house in a new place
New people have come into your life
To listen to the things you have to say.
I'ts been a while since I've heard your voice
Two or three months, in fact
I miss you dearly, Beth
Even as everything's out of whack.
But today, I think I'll call you up
To see how you are
To wish you a happy birthday
Because the phone is not that far.
I think I'll think about you
As I admire you fondly, Beth,
And please remember that I love you

Victorious heart praises the Lord as Source
Midst thanksgiving for blessings everyday
Toward accomplishment along work force
Brought by blest compassion and mercy’s ray.
Vigilant soul worships with joyous glow
Midst gratitude for faith-fortitude’s brace
Toward wondrous service by blessings’ flow
Marked by redemption upon hope and grace.
Vibrant spirit does pray in sincere plight
Midst gratefulness for glad attitude’s zest
Toward sharing along caring delight
With fulfillment of miraculous best.
Giving thanks* to God for His love so great
Life’s peaceful bliss declares reliance-trait.
