Cup of Love

It is a family tradition
Passed from year to year
That we spend together
And celebrate with cheer

As the first snowflakes fall
We hear mama’s voice call
"It’s time for hot cocoa;
Come one and come all"

She asks nothing in return
Just quality time to share
Making each cup special
To show how much she cares

Now anxiously we wait
When leaves begin to fall
That cup of love to come
With winters first snowfall

Farewell/ My Time To Go

My friends I've grown tired and am in need
of a rest.
A inviitation to a farewell banquet.
Please be my guest.

When everything begins to move
slow.
I'll need no advice.
For I'll know its time to go.

I hope i made you laugh as well as think.
Farewell I'll bid you after this
last drink.

The road was many things but never boring.
Sleep in peace like children.
And some old man snoring.

I thank you all.
As I drift were the dark waters flow.
No tears should touch your cheeks.
For its my time to go.

No longer within sight.
But always within your heart.
Why worry over tommorow when one day
we shall all depart.

Old friends rest well knowing this is not the
last time you will see my face.
for we will gather somewhere beyond
are final resting place.

Where one flower dies another will always grow.
I love you all.
But for now it's my time to go.

I'Ll Be Free

Small cracks of light
Gently peeks threw the trees.
My souls trapped
Trying to fly threw these leaves.

Missing the rocket
My soul it came to retrieve
I’m dropped back
Every time I fall flat,
But still I try to bounce back.

Tried so many times
Still can’t seem to fly
Think it’s time to give up.
Or keep on coming back
One day I’ll break threw this trap.

The Christmas Star

Winter time is over the mountains
come yuletide season again.
Caught now in time, these frozen fountains
that drop to waterfalls end.

The skies have seen the last of the geese,
they’ve flown to warmth miles away.
And trees are all but stripped of their leaves
as they sleep these winter days.

Christmas Time comes to us once again
and it’s just moments away.
Reminders of God’s goodness to men
is about us every day.

Hope kindles new in the hearts of those
who”follow the Star” this season.
They’ll know freedom from a life of woes
and Jesus is their reason.

So at this special time of year
be sure there’s room at the inn.
Unto you the Christmas Star draws near
and will ALWAYS lead to Him.

Spread Your Wings

There's someone I know and look up to, every time I see her she's like an angel standing
before me.
Yet she tells me every time she's in front of a mirror, she can only see her broken wings.
I know I don't understand so well, I guess her mind and body don't see eye to eye.
All I can do is be there to comfort her, when I see her break down and cry.
I can try to help and put the pieces back together, so she can finally see what's true.
I'd give her all the strength inside me, and help her see this through.

If she could see things from my eyes, I know her heart would sing.
If we could walk together I could show her, and she could finally spread her wings.
If I can show her how others look up to her only tears of joy she would cry.
Let her feel all the love that comes her way, it will help spread her wings to fly.

Life can be cruel at times for all things we have come to hear and see.
So many influence's pointing at us to how we should look and what we all should think.
They can keep their misguided idea's, I tell her we shouldn't listen anymore.
Don't let them box you in, take my hand and I'll help you through this open door.
There is a fresh new world out here for her, the first step is all she needs to take.
I have told her it may not be the easiest path, but all here is real and ready for the take.

The Time To Change

The slogan was repeated, nth number of times,
But, have things changed.
Nothing new, cropped up; still men lose their lives,
Again it is the same.
Brides are being burnt, people manipulate lies,
Corruption is still tamed.
A bomb explosion everywhere, the newspaper sighs,
Who is to be, after all, blamed?
How long things will go, nothing happens and time flies,
Who will remove the stain?
Undeserved are still progressing, talent that money buys,
Deserved are once more drained.
The rich exploiting the poor, hankering after the prize,
Slaves are over again caned.
Terrorist’s secretly using power, ruling in guise,
Politicians are always gained.
The freedom fighters fought and sacrificed their lives,
When will their dreams be ingrained?
It is now or never, all of us should, join into ties,
Because, it is the time to change.
The time to change
The time to change.

Pure Fun

Once upon a time of grand pleasure
There was a child with thoughts of pure fun
Days danced from one to another
How wonderful it felt to be young

To capture secret snow forts
on toboggans of imagination
To cross vast fishing streams
in the canoes of creation
To race through open fields
at the silent speed of light
To dig for buried treasure
and catch fireflies at night

Those places that we visited
were at the heart of time and space
They may be gone at the present
Yet, they can never be erased

The ballgame in the corner lot
that spectacular catch you made
The birthday of your special gift
when all your wished were repaid

The years when certain music
was inspiring and brand new
When books became a vacation
getting lost with; "you know who."

Let's visit that time in the present
not retreat to the past
Let's do something that's pleasant
for life rushes by too fast

Now - is the time to discover
what a wonder life can be
Having pure fun with another
by releasing the child in; "me."

This Time

This time...

This time it will be different, differ from my struggle i find.
Determine my forfeit, forfeiting everything i found before.

This time...

This time i will find victory, victorious will be my triumph.
Live strong, strength in life.

This time...

This time i will be known, knowing who i am.
Standing tall full of accomplishment, accomplishing my goal.

This time...

Claim Your Victory

Sometimes the road seems long and curly
A few steps forward and we end up weary
Consumed by the complexities of our curvy course
We are often tempted to seek the SURRENDER recourse
But why should we let our time and efforts go to waste
When the curves are simply signs showing us to SLOW DOWN OUR HASTE

Curves to the left and right
Each one leading up to our tunnel’s final light
At each turn in our road we are challenged to increase our workload
And in the process alter our capability mode
Some welcome the challenge with open arms
While others sound their NEVER alarms
Too afraid to stumble along the way
They give up without having the final say

What we fail to realize about these bends
Is that they are mere projections to our victorious ends
So why not let time chart our destination
And view each twist as another level of elevation

-we Celebrate Easter-

Once again, the banner is lifted;
of the cross: one time for all men.
The sacrifice of God's spotless Lamb
will never have to be rendered again.

Who is this Jesus whom some proclaimed King
and worthy of the hearts of all men ?
Is this the One named Lord over all
and to Him every knee shall one day bend ?

Who would have thought from such humble beginnings
the fulfillment of God's plan would come forth ?
And now He has captured our hearts through the ages,
reaching from east to west and the south to the north.

In truth, every day is a celebration
of the Lord's Christ being raised from the dead.
But from that time to this, we celebrate Easter-
or of this triumph, have you not read ?

He is worthy, True Lord of our Hearts;
He who knows your beginning from your end.
So at this special time of the year,
join with us as we celebrate Easter again.

Premium Member Solitude

Before day touches the fringe of night
In the quiet of early dawn
Should you find yourself wide awake
From never ending distractions
Tune in to your deeper self
In solitude find peace

Speak your deepest thoughts hopes your dreams
Examine all the haunting fears
Mostly unfounded you will find
A better listener and a friend
No other would ever be
In solitude find peace

When you’re alone within yourself
Dream dreams beyond the skies
When there be laughter or bitter tears
Spend time with a friend or two
Still find that special time for “you”
In solitude find peace

At times you’ll fail along life’s path
Your conscience will tell you no lies
Like a Mother she'll hound you deride you
If need be the cane she'll employ
Look deep look long and often
In solitude find peace

Just For Today

Just for Today
Thy will be done
For today is the only time a watch can count
The hands and mechanics of time tick only in the present
The time that has passed has passed on to prosperity
Time has yet to materialize in the future yet we take for granted it will
But today walks in your shoes , Tastes your breath besides you
Both feel's your pain and revels in your joy
Regret not your past , Ponder not your future
Make today count and time surely will secure both
Just for today
Thy will be done

Worthy

Welcome to my world
dip a toe inside
walk with me
through mother nature's creations
see the beauties of this earth.

Magical dragonflies hover
turquoise blues and greens
over ponds and lakes.
Beautiful gossamer winged
rainbows of butterflies
flutter over greenest of meadows.

High in the treetops
twittered choruses echo
whistling on the breeze
that surrounds us.

Inhale the pure air,
taste the salt of the sea
on the tip of your tongue.
Exhale this, follow it through
with purity of mind
let go of all your cares.

Look beyond this year
imagine yourself happy
what are you doing?
Make your dream a reality
set yourself a goal.
Make yourself open
to the wonders
of the things around us.

Life is for the taking
for the here and now
it passes too quickly
lives change fast
we are who we are
things happen for a reason.

There is a time and place
where you should be
this life is a lesson
take each opportunity as it comes;
for it may never present itself
in quite the same way ever again,
for we are constantly evolving.

Remember this moment
cherish the fruits of life
harvest them
reap what is sown
do not let it go to waste
for you are worthy,
you are meant to be.

Be thankful for the chances
you have been given,
grateful for times good and bad
for they lead you onwards
to new pastures,
untrodden;
for time waits for no one,
hold your head high
and walk on.

Please Remember

you have more
strength and
determination than
people really know.
you have the power
of faith inside you so
dont ever let it go
even when times get
rough as hard as they
can be please dont
close your eyes you
need them to see.
when you need
courage to guide you
and take away your
fear listen-dont plug
your ears you need
those to hear there
are times you might
be feeling hurt you
may need some time
to heal dont build a
wall around your
heart because you
need that to feel.
please keep your
head up high when
things get sour and
tart if you let it hang
down sad and low
your world might fall
apart look past the
gloomy skies take it
one day at a time the
clouds will soon clear
away and you will see
the rays of sunshine

His Gift

Each day is a gift from God
who desires that you should know,
He sent His Son to walk this sod,
His Father's love to show.

The days have passed from that time to this
with many accepting God's greatest Gift.
Those that have inherit Eternal Bliss
as from darkness to light their lives do lift.

So each in turn our lives come forth
in accordance with His master plan.
And in Him alone do we find our worth
as He brings forth what only He can.

So know that your days are precious and few
in this span of time before Eternity.
He will surely lead you to that which is true
through receiving His Gift which is free.
