Just For Today

Just for Today
Thy will be done
For today is the only time a watch can count
The hands and mechanics of time tick only in the present
The time that has passed has passed on to prosperity
Time has yet to materialize in the future yet we take for granted it will
But today walks in your shoes , Tastes your breath besides you
Both feel's your pain and revels in your joy
Regret not your past , Ponder not your future
Make today count and time surely will secure both
Just for today
Thy will be done

I like the "One day at a time" theme in this poem. It is the only true path to perfection. His will for today... and for each of tomorrow's todays. Very nice write, Chris. Lovingly, Dane Ann

It is hard to live for just today isn't it. You have very creatively written it here. Keep writing. Sara
