Premium Member Uniting States of Wisdom
We have an enemy within called the ego
who prevents us from using our mind intelligently.
It hides deep within our heart
and emerges with regularity
to challenge and consume our will.
                 Rumi (M. Mafi, trans.)

We have a challenger wrestling within called our...

Premium Member Uniting Easter's Earth Days
Let's imagine that you are,
like Buckminster Fuller,
karmically absorbed with Unitarian genes,
were there such a thing,
which of course there are not,
but perhaps something like an evolving Unitarian Universalist post-millennial teleology.
Basically, some shared sense of responsibility for,
and humility about,
our currently unraveling long-term thrival prospects,
as a globally interdependent and parasitic species.

OK, so here we are,
Unitarians,
imagining...

Premium Member First Uniting Nations
Honey, why doesn't the United Nations include the First Nations?

Are you asking about Babylon
or Native Americans?
Who were, at the time,
thought to be more like wild Indians
by the movers and shakers of rapid industrializing history.

What about a Security Council
made up of the Maple Tree Nation
and the RainForest Nation
and the WaterDweller Nation
and the WingedFlight Nation?

I suspect that...

Premium Member Uniting Republics of Domesticity
It took us too long,
but eventually
we noticed Republican women
and Democrats both women and men
often preferred to spend about twice as much on domestic education
and defensively proactive mutual health care assurance
as compared to international defensive co-investment,
too often reduced to the militaristic over-industrialized budget.

And, of that international relations budget,
about two-thirds for growing cultures of healthy peace...

The Uniting of the West
Ages of hibernation,
Centuries of degeneration,.
lacking the intuition,
To believe our "superstitions",
Led to a fall without elevation,
Onto the sands of desolation,
That began eroding the foundation,
Of our superior civilization.

They posses fanatical motivation,
Born from authoritarian religious persuasion,
That seeks the complete eradication,
Of all the "heretical nations",
But they have botched their calculations,
Regarding the strength of our fortifications,
So we will unite as...

A Uniting of Hearts
A union of two hearts
Becoming one forever.
The happiest of marriages,
including one more.
Someone to guide you
through life's storms.
He's the glue that bonds your love,
Making dreams come true,
sending blessings from above.
May the day be special
filled with joy!
May the love you have found be bound
by glory!
Trust in God, trust in each other,
May you have a happy life
Forever...

trying to get warm on a January day.
we inch toward the window, feeling the heat
this mama has been baking something sweet
what is that smell? the squirrels ask me

a mere cardinal, what would I know about people food?
i fabricate a story and they all buy in, snuggling together
we are never as unified as in the...

Voices Uniting
Reblessing the virtues
that time can’t bestow
Heaven awakens
a world far below

The sinner is sainted
the prophet a king
Words join in prayer
as eternity sings

The order reorders
from many comes one
Voices uniting
in breath zero sum

Moments rechristen
epiphany reigns
Fruition is sating
—in His holy name

(Dreamsleep: July, 2023)...

I Am - Tatvam Asi
With blinding darkness expanding the universe,
Eyes that close and explore the consciousness that lurks.
A light that shines bright like the sun,
I evade the power and, break in a run,
From the mundane cycle of life and death.
An awakening of the soul due to nature’s wrath,
Let’s me see the whole illusion in a wrap.
A resonating thought that...
