Premium Member The Whistling Hamlet

A whistling wheezing hamlet, whispering and emanating, tunes euphonic,
In a remote isolated valley, far-flung from the abode of the temporal,
Warbling quietly to whistle scads of  tranquil cryptic songs;
Lying spasmodic, a sparsely inhabited mellifluous hamlet, Kongthong!

Not to hyperbole, a singing utopia, uncustomary to the core!
Where innate and mellow are the naive dwellers' rustic tinkling timbres!
A rover's riddle, the natives' pride, a unique heritage, their blissful strains!

Ringing with an ancient tradition of tune-giving in honour of the root ancestress,
Customary to the matrilineal surviving unknown folk of the thorp!

The chirping region's dispositions and practices outlandish, vague and obscure,
Primitive and bizarre, mere to merge with nature's absolute accord!

Voices buzzing in whistles, murmuring and chattering, lilting,
Arcane, pervading the virgin thicket of the sacred thorpe!
To entangle, passerby and wanderers in dream like metaphors!
Those magical murmurs in quirky tunes, mingling the breeze of the secluded hamlet, intoning own tinkles!

Blessed are the tuning terrain's offsprings, nameless!
Rared by ditties, hailed sacred by the clan's conviction!

Outlying, by the uninhabited enchanting wilderness of East Khasi Hills,
Sleeping quietly the untrodden, nature's lulling lullaby, the whistling Kongthong!
Yell! Immaculate and serene, the saga of their undeciphered airs, mumbling in exquisite ethos!

Inimitable and gripping to eye, how the denizens of the tribe,
Are crooning to dub and call each other by indigenous intonations!
Pitching and whooshing, to tune their melodic identities unique!

Whew! The picturesque terrain is tweeting, whooping, and whizzing!
Heaven! Bless anomalous nature's absolute pamphlet,
The ringing Kongthong, God's own whistling hamlet!

Tamam Shud

“Tamam Shud”

Handsome comes
as handsome goes

forgotten
not missed

lies waiting
intestate

a code
undeciphered

Mystery in the end -
far more interesting

answers calling
something whispers:

"Death -
open gate ...

Come in"

"In Persian "tamam" is a noun that simply means "the end" and it can also be used in the sense when something is finished or completed. The "shud" bit on the end is an auxiliary verb that puts it into the past tense, so "tamam shud" means "ended" or "finished".

Premium Member Kiss her only if your gaze can open the gates to a fairytale realm

Kiss her only if your gaze can open the gates to a fairytale realm,
where your lips unravel mysteries hidden beneath the cosmic dust of time,
where her body is not just a sanctuary but a universe waiting to be explored,
where her tongue is an arena of silent conflicts, woven with the names of ghosts.
She has burned through her own essence, becoming human as much as the sky allows,
she has stitched her heart with threads of fury, closed wounds forgotten by other lovers,
spoken in undeciphered dialects, carving truth onto ancient walls,
if you don't see the poetry in her ruins, your presence is just a shadow in the wind.
Kiss her only if you have the courage to bear the weight of her name as a gift,
to bleed in the colors of her soul like an artist creating their art,
to have the devotion to meet her where she stands—unwavering, regal,
anything else is a lie, and she has swallowed enough illusions already.
She is both prayer and plague, a scripture demanding to be understood,
kiss her only if you have the heart to stay, to know all her faces,
to unravel her mysteries and embrace her shadows that dance silently,
for anything else is an empty promise, and she has lived through enough lies.

Schizophrenia

Her 'Verses on Schizophrenia' was written
while both of us were immersed in Gauguin's

yellow ocher smudging the eves in Tahiti
on a bankrupted canvas throbbing to suck pigments

each stroke ripping the foils of rustic mystery
unfolded fathoms of emotions undeciphered in her skies

eclipsing the tulips of reason, erosioned roots underneath
her gaze was thrust on an ivy stretching hands

towards quivering wind perplexed to hide somewhere
paraphrased each pulse in to the prose of dead tissues

Her 'Verse on Schizophrenia' lies on the table
A meteor crosses through the heart of a syllable

All that I am

With savour of liberty,
rudderless I float
in depth of time,
Unfolding treasures
and rapt of nature,
I try to construe laws.

Trusting humanity
beyond all caste and creed,
Waiting for boundaries
to say no to war,
Friends I live for stay
tugged at my heartstrings,
my life's tune put to melody.

Emotive and impulsive,
passion my fiery blood,
Agony eats me inside
as I drown in my own tears,
Materialism doesn't fascinate,
introspection at constant stake,
I am on a velocious voyage
that ends till eternity,
To my body and
soul's enlightenment.

Crazy bunch,
Anger crunch,
Undeciphered,
Complex puzzle,
Is all that I am !
Trusted but denied,
Honest little wise,
Take me kind,
In love blind,
Is all that I am !

Imagine That

8/16/16

This world has still not yet been fully exlpored and mapped
Imagine that

Pages on the original bible aged
While many lifeforms were unable to reach the final stage
Due to unexpected disasters such as tidal waves

Objects now buried, that use to be on the surface
Waiting to be found, taken care of and used with a purpose
Or to be sold and purchased

In so many regions
Monuments built for specific reasons
Due to whatever it was that they believed in
Or to help them out through the seasons

Plants that are native
And others considered invasive
In all kinds of different places

Caves
In pitch blackness and shade
Full of things that are strange

Trees towering
Over fauna and flora flowering
And where others lost or found a ring

Stones
In biomes
That are scorched and froze
Some of which have markings that are still undeciphered and unknown

Animals adapting
As time continues passing
Nothing is everlasting

Sacred Etchings

Walls stripped bare of time.
Symbols shinning through
moon phases
piled as sand.
Carvings of past hunters
speak a bewildering code,
of lives washed from history.

Meaning vanished.

Impression conveyed.

Time has left the message,
and betrayed the creator.
His flesh gone
language scattered.
A people swallowed by disease,
and famine,
storm and drought,
war and disunity.
The only evidence of heritage
streaks placed on canyon walls.
undeciphered pictographs of
anonymous origin.

And yet I have expectations
of meeting the author
around a river bend.
Hunting the same prey,
cleansing in the same stream,
tending mutual crops,
sheltering similar families,
chiseling with ancient tools,
upon cliffs of dazzling, pounded sand.

Riotous Dreams

Music roves forgotten recess.
Spectrum of colors lack comprehension.
Objects of undeciphered importance appear.
Landscapes with familiar distortions,
Capture dialogue of competing personas.

The decayed buildings of my past,
Meet the repainted canvases of the future.
We row the lake of dreams in ignorance,
Lost in erratic, impulsive winds.
Hurricanes look tame in comparison.

Sometimes I find delight,
Loving many,
Finding impossible pleasures,
Discovering new insights,
Solving complex problems.

I have conversed with deceased relatives,
Witnessed black horrors,
Screamed in unsolicited howls,
Awoke in unhealthy shivers,
Breached chaotic doors.

Murderer
Victim
Seducer
Hero
Moralist
Criminal

Who directs the movies of my mind?

I am an actor without knowledge of the script!

Arabesque Whispers

Arabesque Whispers

To a flower
You are the fragrance
And for poetry
You are the refrain

Something left from a dream
Has taken time in place
And the Now is only your face
like a sea before my eyes

Your beauty overflowed my thoughts**
And wrecked my sails

And then, i look at you.
Big dark eyes, from Arabian Nights
Serenading Muashahat of halcyon glories
knights and queens' love adventures
Love and sacrifice, and still your eyes
hold undeciphered charms, that
I have yet to decode..

Every spot , every speck is a whole in all its integrity
Your arched eyebrows have traced.a perfect bow
And trimmed it with a painstaking care, and genius hands
No wisp of hair was left out of the range.
was left out at random hands to alter its beauty..

And the black hair that droops loosely
Upon your shoulders
And down to your hips where
it lands gently in warm lap,'' i just imagine
It with a wish this might happen...''.

Lines like an intricate Arabesque of a human design
intertwined fibers not tangled in chaotic hustle
or weaved with awkward beginners.
Classy and tactfully polished......

Then you smile with lips lightly pressed
A mildly stressed corner of the thin sweet lips
Shyly giving a hint of discretion
A sign of reserve and self-containment.
It's what makes the beholder get willing
For a curious inspection, and poetic research..

You look heavenly serene and blissfully Zen
No care, no stress ever can a poet discern in all your lines
You gently wave like the ebb and flow
Of a Summer calm sea,,
At even's quiet moments. you take my eyes
Silently, as i sink blindly in your deep

Sublime Pain of Love Ct

When love went away...many many long years ago
A life of roller coasters
Ocean waves ---storm inside the brain---Titanic Blues --
A Dissipated Dream
A long nightmare ---Sleepless lullaby
Black and White rainbow ---
Kaleidoscope Heart ---Souvenir
Life spent all alone---
Colorblind Dreamscape
Wait for return,.. I miss you
Whispering trees---All remind me of you
Beyond the light--- My eternal grief
Canopy of Pain ---Graveyard of dreams
Echo came back---You Complete me..
Undeciphered.. The Horizon of Eternity
The Unknown---Unfinished poem
Deja vu---One sided Love...Silent Love...
Obsession ---Paradise
Love you Forever.

Undeciphered

A firelight in my sky, you turned a borealis.
reveling an elixir, in your lambent palace.

I creep in close, magnetized in your field,
a pair of hazel eyes, moon within concealed.

Your canyon kiss swirl up, chasms in my soul
with cheers and jeers, watercolor streams roll.

In cherubic touch, your feelings feel so real
transcendent, sublime.. my dreams go ideal.

In your yellow spring, worldly fears vanished
an autumn of verdant, all brown got banished.

Bird in me was free, with your head on my lap
your hair buried my face, in a half asleep nap.

Unwavering content... of eternal passion.
calmed all chaos.. crystallized all confusion.

Emblazoned in your eyes, I see my own reflection.
As I try hard to decipher, your vibes and affection.

You cast a spell, with magic in your glance
my endeared heart, glimmered in romance.

Your jewel sprinkled laughter, sung a lullaby.
I fell in your love, don't know the reason why.

Your Supporter

Growth, your pedestal knows well
For by day, your knowledge gains
And so to, does your name
As the tie, many may wear
Though the title, you have earned
In every endeavor, you have shone

A witness to your crowning, I stood
To scream my heart, I wished
Though my composure, I maintained
Your moment, I let reign
But my praises, I did not restrain
As a leader, was chosen to lead

Envy, there was none
My declination, I made clear
Though your position, I respect still
For to see an enemy, pain would overwhelm
But to see you, was a blessing wearing no disguise
Your excel, is poetry to my eyes

My words, may possess little when I speak
Though in my writings, none is left undeciphered
For before your step has been taken, my applause is ready in wait
As your abilities, bring forth no doubt
Your supporter, I will never revolt
In the background, my cheers will sound

A tiny scar that marks a
long-ago mishap or misdemeanor.
A slender ridge left by an
ancient scalpel.
Faint dots and lines,
barely more tactile than a tattoo,
in the shadow of a breast,
the lee of a thigh,
the curve of a hip,
that startle my hands because
they are like invisible jags in silk,
minute blemishes
embossed on flawless skin.

Cocooned in love’s sleepy afterglow in my bed,
your body is warm like hushed earth that
remembers a newly departed sun.
My hands sleepwalk across this
mythical landscape,
stumbling eyeless across
a scattered alphabet
in which I’m not literate,
the coded script
to a life that has now joined mine.

There will be plenty of time to learn.
For now, my fingers are content
to gather up their stories,
undeciphered, into my dreams.

Ur

Contained by myself
Drawing the wages of the bombed out present day
Away from his story, now my story but
Finding no plastic to pay for Plathist words

To say What? He can look at me here now
A shell of a father's folly soon spent
Gone by are his probably more than a million days, my maybe ten thousand
Reading daily local evenings untreasured sent went.

Driving far away on the forward roll that's keeping me
For the count of the return from the battles' exchange
Him leaving here, me coming here
Wandering kine all cross without dinar fortunes miss to christen this range.

Brown floured sand in my ears
The prize in a fight with words undeciphered yet
He spoke this way, I utterly mumble "Ur" so unschooled
Meandering donkeys forefeet cord-tied won't forfeit the Bedouin bet.

Premium Member Sleepless

A raw quiet
stretches like a membrane
across the night.
Pulled tight it waits to amplify
the slightest sound.
Each passing minute dials up
the volume of a nerve
strung to snare
the powdery whispers of a moth
or the faint ticking wheezed
out of an old wristwatch
kept beside the bed.
Others sneak the outskirts,
undeciphered, just out of reach
of being named.

Then in time
thoughts take over
and chatter in an aimless
dialogue of the brain.
The past is replayed
again and again
in regrets or unhealed shame
or bent to shape
itself another way as if
a choice was had
to change what happened
into what should have been.
Or the mind stammers, afraid,
paused on the lip
of what's to come,
a dull dread
of something unshaped
palling over the days ahead,
or plucks some planned event
for it to fill
with imagined pleasure
of what might be.

A distant siren
tunnels the dark
with its urgent wail
then thins to silence.
Unease lingers in its wake
and slowly tightens
until all distills
to just the sound
of a muffled pulse
beating in the chambers
of an ear.
One day it will stop.
