Odd Lovers

"Odd Lovers"

I feel your reign o’er my warm skin
your eyes cast their burning cerebral majesty
sharp diamonds cool blue sky twinning rays
the same time dawn and dusk glistening towards me
like the rapturous Sun in debate with boiling Ocean

I am Queen’s Land, nubile and unconquered
a spent sugar cane field arrested in your glowing fire
laid out like a Sunday service gone wrong and come undone
taken up like a god’s bride eager to please and smiling
in your riotous crackling laughter, some kindness, this untamed desire

jade green ignites into crystalline
I am all the wild animals
running ruinous out into open and now seen
hear my wanton cries
uncovered in soft spun blankets of dark night

I am the Moon glowing opallious and high-pearled
rising to meet your fevered and hungry molten lava kiss
drowning in waves of some scorching small death redemption
I bite eagerly with wet lips your brief eclipse
there is the taste of bittersweet candy

slowly mulled and fermented like fine mead
honey drunk deliberate and heady
for a short story time goes slowly
there is the taste of fire in the sharing of a missed moment
merging dimensions in fragile silky gossamer webbed dreams

I bite eagerly with wet lips your brief eclipse
there is the taste of bittersweet candy

made from our odd lover’s kiss

Premium Member Battling a Jungle of My Making

I woke up with vines strangling my neck and holding me down,
     but let me begin at the beginning of this adventure;
it begins with a packet of running beans that looked appealing,
said to be easy to grow, so I said to self, why not ?

I placed three bean seeds in each seedling pot and watered,
to my surprise the next day I had sprouts peaking,
and the next day, they were standing quite upright and happy,
how odd, I thought but with a shrug I watered them.

They were a thirsty lot and each day they seemed to grow higher,
     they soon needed bigger pots, so I did that for them;
and now they took off, growing, growing, growing, growing,
till they reached the top of my windows reaching.

Oh, yes they wanted out but it was too cold to do that yet,
     they grew over the curtain rod and along the curtains;
and oh so lush and green and did I mention thirsty,
anyways, I went to bed one night and was dreaming.

When I felt something strangling me, and I was pinned down,
     pinned by twinning bean tendrils-  the whole room full;
desperate, I tore the tendrils from my neck so I could breathe,
my room was a green jungle of running beans.

In my bedside drawer were my sewing scissors so I got them,
     and started cutting, the bean plants were strong;
it was an epic battle, I cut and grabbed, and ripped my way,
I ran to the kitchen for garbage bags and threw them in.

In the middle of the night I took them all to the garbage,
     I lifted the lid and threw, I think I heard them screaming;
back in my bedroom I went to sleep 'till morning dawned,
remembering my dream I looked at the window . . .

                      the runner beans were gone . . . .

                                                      was it a dream ?

Upon the icy back of winter she rides unnoticed, like your shadow in midday sunlight
She bides her time while secretly infusing warmth into the frozen earth below. Like a Nursemaid she feeds and nurture off springs. Shhh...hear the stirrings of the new growth awakening!

the warm earth parts
for the tulips's first leaf --
gentle rain

Quietly, gentle rain and warm sunrays twinning, absorb, sustain and enhance life. Soft mist is disperse in midair, cascading gently, they land like crystal dew drops on lush green grass. Soon, the rabbit and hare in search of food and water will run through these fields assured that the never ending circle of life will continue.

young ones thirsting
Sip soft crystal dew drops--
Blooming smiles

All Over the Fields

I found peace
	with the scorching
	Heat of the winter
against the immense sunsets!

	Through the huge
	animal's bones
as if it were a sense of
	personal freedom
such as the chilling-spirit.

Here I found the given mother,
	twinning waterfalls,
	which, all beavers
and done, the hole land is reflected
to you through my incensed eyes!

But when I sought the hawk,
along the hunting past,
	I found the blanket,
Powder, Tobaccoes, Knives,
	trappers and fur,
	entwining before me the immense
	shaft
of this peaceful spot!

Ah! clear in the funky river,
the soul, our soul!
the sweet water to the bone,
	opening high the evil-tempered past,
the struggle golden mass,
with unnatural bloom.
	who comes no more.

This Twinning Set

this twinning set,
of urchin's smile reflected,
by stale fathers turned to murk,
knapping flint saturated by eons,
gripped saltwise in bitter steel neglected,
high voices cry "banal!" and flow red tears,
     weeping while maxims roar,
at last this abattoir's necessary cut,

eyes rimming rise,
along dross to swirling bones,
as banners once crowned a shining wall,
tattered now on midden in lonely heaps,
crumbled in sieves by millennial crones,
     turnspit dogs with hanging tongues,
     forward marching back again,
     pounding the echoes,

now, polymeric brains,
studied to exalt virtual reasons,
longing to challenge abstract perfection,
as those doomed anguish in tidy archives,
wincing at rhythms of civilian seasons,
nock the future, quiver the past,
into a terrorist leaks a tale,
while a nation rots through a soldier.

Flow Like a River

in life you flow like a river
ceaseless without a quiver
endless giggling speedy and wavy
relentless bristling to the ocean gleefully
undisturbed attached to the moment pure
might glance up or fro fleeting sure
lights of virtues guides you not fear
or greed but love and compassion care
river flows unaware of the destination compare
not unconcerned dirt and waste flow
be a river then flow stagnant not follow
you will merge in the ocean crescendoing
uplifting the blissful waves decrescendoing
in the moment twinning life and death

Alison Alligator eating artichokes on a ant hill,
     watching
Beverly Bear floating on a cloud over there,
     which developed a leak,
     drenching
     Charlotte the twin headed elephant
     up to their knees,
     floating
     Danny the dingo swimming past.
     While watching,
      Eli the iguana,
     slithering over a leaf
     sharing a log,
with Francis the frog looking over,
as Gwenda the goose flew overhead
     into the gum tree,
     where,
Helen the hermit had laid down her head,
     on
     Ivy the twinning snake,
     who was always late,
     slithered up the tree,
     to give
     Jay the monkey,
     who was feeling funky,
     a fright.
     she dropped a nut on,
     Karen the kite,
who was in flight one starry night.
As Lil the parrot continued to trill,
     while
Marsha the mammoth grew quite still,
to much noise was making her ill,
     gave her the shakes
     and
Nosey Nancy the ant came up out of her mound
to see what was shaking the ground all around.
Olive the ostrich bent all her knees,
standing straight was making her sneeze!
     Then
Penelope the porcupine trotted on by
     to keep an appointment with
      Quirky the quill,
she was the queen of everything,
      she was quite mean.
     pushing
     Ruth the rambling rabbit into,
Silly sue who was a sea lion and lived in Sillyville,
     and lived there still.
     Alongside
     Terrible Tonya the Tonga tiger,
     who danced with,
Uncelet Uris who came from the north,
because of to many Tonga dancers rolling tires back abd forth.
Violet the vampire bat flew down to show
Wilson Lucille the very large whale,
how to stay out of jail.
she had a tendency you see,
     to hang out with
     Xantus, the hummingbird,
who lived on a yacht with a
     Yak Zack ,
and stole yogurt by the lot.
Finally to tired to tired to chat anymore,
Alison, Beverly, Charlotte, Danny, Eli, Francis, Gwenda, Helen, Ivy, Jay,
Karen, Lil, Marsha, Nancy, Olive, Penelope, Quirky, Ruth, Sue, Tonya, Uris, Violet, Wilson Lucille, Xantus, and Yak Zak
     fell asleep on the floor.

True Friendship

True friendship is rare
It’s one in a million
A mirror image, a twinning
Mutual acknowledgement
In knowing
She’s the one
Who pays attention
Listens with intention
Can read your thoughts
Before you think them
With whom you share
Truth
Respect
Consideration
Humour
Joy
Pain
Love
No conditions
Sometimes critical
Even reproachful
But always understanding
Who keeps you in line
Before you cross it
To the point of no return
Who puts you before herself
Because that’s just who she is
One in a million
A needle in a haystack
To be treasured forever
That friend is you to me
And me to you

Romeo

Romeo! Romeo! Romeo!
I heard someone with a sweet voice
Calling in the radiation-therapy zone.
And I wondered, Juliet in the hospital!
With no balcony and twinning vines?
The deserted corridor also echoed -
Romeo! Romeo! Romeo!
You had been inside for quite sometime.
Has anything gone wrong? -
I began worrying.
And I saw a nurse, her faced covered,
Almost, with a green mask,
Standing by the entry-restricted door,
Her eyes, visibly, searching for someone.
And she called out -
Romeo! Romeo! Romeo!
From nowhere a ward boy, in grey shirt
And black trousers, came in
Pushing a wheelchair.
I caught a glimpse of the name printed
On his shirt's breast-pocket, Romeo.
A while later, I saw you in the wheelchair,
Pushed by Romeo, emerging from the radiation room.
I felt a sting of jealousy puncturing my heart,
And wished if I could wield
A stilleto, pointing its sharp tip
To that wretched young-man, Romeo.
While I was opening the glass door
To usher you out of the clinic,
I heard, again, the nurse's voice echoing -
Romeo! Romeo! Romeo!

The loudest ones thinking they are winning

My sis and I agree on one thing, we are twinning
Pulling apart America USA should not be our job

The din in the horizon is formulating an angry mob
Insurrection is not important says the non-thinking party
Pulling apart America USA should not be our job
With lack of integrity, how do we remain hale and hearty?

Insurrection is not important says the non-thinking party
Where does honesty, decency, and respect enter in?
With lack of integrity, how do we remain hale and hearty?
The masses are in turmoil, and our togetherness is thin.

Joy Elaine Wellington

Joy, they named for themselves, the future's blind
Oyster to drink your sand. In salt tides love rises
Yearning to part the twinning shell and there resign.

Empress of the emerald seas, my ship for rich prizes
Listed its name, cargoing only your pure laden weight
Anchorless against the blustering report of bad winds.
I desired you alone, and for you I you alone I freight
Nature's nagging Testament jettisoned among the fins
Eternal glimpse of glee. O how my ship prized your worth

Well in tons delicious of my dreams, your sweet waters
Ecstatic upon the plunging foray of my keel, port
Leaning through tempting triangles, the pirate pesters
Lack speed's pursuit, and through doldrums I evade
Incessant wrongs, until your wild waves wanton decree
Numbed wind and sail in me. Flirtingly you delayed
Giving my ship to port, and then soon abandoned me
Tideless in a salt bog of tears where I logged deceit
Once in a while I come down to the sea, the old receipt
Nested in my mastless fingers, to wail my loss in you.

A Winners Contempt

This is not a playground fight this is more like the 48 laws of power & the art of war, this is all about you settling a score, just because you won doesn't mean you're a winner, I could get baptized today & tomorrow still be a sinner, the difference between you & I is that everywhere you walked to I had to fly, the other side of the tracks is where I came from & I guess you & your flamboyant representative thought I was dumb, I got that objection sustained with no lawyer, I felt just like Vlad the Destroyer, another moment I made history, personal victory you could never take from me, even if I lived 3 more quarters of a century, but I'mma live forever because I have a son & my DNA is strong we twinning, remember I was the one who told you you were pregnant in the beginning, to keep it all the way trill kids not real to us until they get here, to y'all it's when you have a ultrasound & a image appear, me personally I have a newborn seven year old with my grandfather's soul, super logical he freestyles like me, barz B , I'm about to get what I gave my momma times three, I love it though cuz I can mold me to be better than I was at any age, I can tell him how it's gonna work out at every stage, I'm not going anywhere but to school the law library or a legal aid line, I'm going to fight for my baby until the end of time

Northeaster Winds Rise

Chilled the January air
shaken and stirred by suffused zephyr winds
shimmering icy foam gurgled frigid in the froth
 singing, swirling, whining tempest
 lathered howling squeals thru the trees;
naked skeletons undressed by winter fall
 gasping breaths guttural involuntary convulsions
tempestuous tease in tornadic twinning gales
 breathless mistrals meandering the trades
slipping and sliding along the fluid swells
agitated gesticulated waves palpitating
 screech screams, squealing squawking shrieks
raw bittered bites breaching lung and sinew
 merciless rigor of glacial numbing
 the piercing northeaster yowls
ascending surge of winter awakening rise.

Premium Member Configured Triad

A bud cradled within two tiny leaves
A dulcet design of tantalizing trinity
The proud plant tenderly conceives.

A flower blooming between two tinged leaves
A pristine picture of fervent fulfillment
The passionate plant arduously achieves.

A bridge binding two banks on land lonely
A suturing structure of crafted closeness
In the rhapsodic river euphoria flows freely.

A dormant desire twinning two hearts innately
A child creates the link in paired possession
The triad configures the epitome of life completely.
