A Cocktail of Kaleidoscope

(ALLITERATION)
Cows milked: mitigated mooing in the meadows then
Weaving on the warp, some workaholic women

Harvest of hapless halibuts on hooks
Bookish book-worms buried in books

A palomino and a pony patter on the paving
Hucksters and hawkers hawking every housing.

Ravers out on the razzle raising a raucous razz-ma-tazz
Beavers busy building beaver-dams but about it quite blasé.

Doves cooing in divine chorus
Frogs frisking out of focus
Horoscopes are hocus pocus.

Tidal waves of tsunami treacherously tread
Sea-anemones scattered upon the sea-bed.

Geraniums genuflecting in jungle-like gardens
Hunters wary of wandering wild-life wardens.

All this when I ventured about videotaping
Nature's much nicer even with no landscaping

These are direly different scenes from different parts of the globe
Perhaps like a space probe's kaleidoscopic poetic probe

Premium Member Is His Cellphone Dead

Is his cell phone dead? Is he dead? What is happening?
I stare out the window for the sixteenth time.
It is windy out there. I can hear the howling.
Has he been in a wreck? Is it time to call the hospitals?

Should I get dressed in case the police come to the door?
I press my nose against the glass, and then my mouth.
The coolness of it does not calm me in the least.
Where is he? Why has he not called? What is happening?

I cannot leave. There is no one to watch the children.
I stare at the cell phone. Check it again for messages.
There is nothing. Where is he? What is happening? Was there a wreck?
The bridge is treacherously slick in this kind of weather. Especially if it rains.

Rain begins pinging at the windows. It sounds like sand being thrown.
What is happening? Where is he? I get dressed, ready for anything.

Premium Member Blame

"A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else." _ John Burroughs

In the Garden of Eden, an ominous silence spread.
From the Heavenly Paradise, all grace had fled.
Adam knew there was no recompense for his act
Against his crime, God would violently react.
Sorry that the pact once solemnly made did wilt.
In shame and regret the first lovely pair sat.
They moved away from God’s wonted path,
And hid under bushes fearing His wrath.

God as usual came for His evening round
But Adam and Eve were nowhere around
The omniscient knew what had happened,
Over the gross disobedience, He was deeply saddened.

God called out- “Adam… Adam,
From your hideout, come…come.
When everything else, I had given you free
Tell me what made you eat from the forbidden tree”

Adam said- Me Lord, I acted under Eve’s persuasion
For the forbidden fruit, I had no inclination

Next, God questioned Eve,
Who acted so very naïve.
She said she was treacherously tempted by Satan,
Who came disguised more like a charlatan
All wisdom and knowledge was assured
And with false promises, she was lured.

For breaking the pact, heavy was the price incurred
God withdrew all the blessings conferred.
From the bliss of Paradise, they were sacked,
To live in a world with all misery wracked!

Since then, the blaming game has been conveniently played,
And the onus of our actions on others' shoulders laid,
As from Adam to Eve and from Eve to Satan,
Cleverly passed over our accountability’s baton!

Had they not blamed each other and repented over their crime,
God would have forgiven, and their story might have ended with a sweet chime!

You Said You Saw the Pastor

You said you saw the pastor
hiding in the corner of the shabby church
smoking, and looks worried

That Windmill turns no more, quietly stands
Silently prays and loudly mourns
For it never forgets how people scorn
That old car parks by the roadside
Pieces of paint, peeled and flake off.
Traces of rust, tell the stories of long gone trust.
That rocking chair at the front porch, screeching
Sings songs of lonely, only winds can understand
That old tree stands firm in the grassland
Treacherously tells things we can never stand.

Red bricks and concrete, scattered on the ground
describing the cheerful moment when
pieces of broken hearts were found.

That smiley wolf wears a three-piece suit
patiently tells kids the value of being mute
Weeds, powders, and pills
Have become the ingredients of feel

You said that you saw the pastor
hiding in the corner of the shabby church
smoking, and looks worried

I see the sounds of praise,
rushes away in a hurry.

Attention All

An unimaginable apocalypse,
Will render this planet eclipsed..
It'll not take much time for this
As we aren't taking much to destroy it!

Every action has an equal, opposite reaction
It's proven law by great physicist, Sir Isaac Newton;
So we can't get aloof from this functional logic
Destruction at both ends 'll make the loop complete
Spree to destroy at both ends has grown in it's severity
Green lands deserted, islands submerged
Species vanished, genetic diversity eroded and
Melting ice caps have triggered severe floods...

This game of cause and effect is creating great havoc..
Chimneys are spewing venomous gases
Oil drillers boring treacherously deep...
We have rolled out behemoth machines...
Not left a chance to explore, exploit!
Virgin forests are left with scars of our boots all over!

Burgeoning demands but scarce are the resources...
But our platter of priority has science, politics and progress
Air, soil and water are losing their quality
But that's not our concern at all...
In using these vitals of life ,we 're so reckless
Shouldn't we realise its time to brainstorm ???
And to evolve a model to mitigate the ills and reform

We 've no right to deny the future generation,
their vital needs to survive
Every man Being the stakeholder,
has to bear the blame and take burden to resolve...
Best is to bridge a course of harmony n' stop nature's slingshot of vengeance
Judicious planning n' avoiding ruthless brutality on nature,
will handover a safe and lively planet to humanity and all!

You Sat Inside There, Said Nothing But Stare

Standing under the sun and looking into the days
Blood is boiling in my veins as time quietly sways
Catching the breeze blown with fresh, grassy smell
Grinding the past, as the clouds treacherously stay

You sat inside there, said nothing but stare
Bracelet on the ankle, which furiously glared
This cave, where our promise was made
Left me alone, and gone on your own crusade.

That tree is still standing tediously today
Broken dreams never have reasons to sway
Shattered memories and screams, still lingering
In summer nights, they give me winter shivering

Standing under the clouds and look into these days
Cold blood is boiling in my veins as time quietly sways
Catching the breeze blown with wet, slurry smell
Looking at the tree which shatters young dreams

Grinding the past, as the clouds treacherously stay

Every Man's Nigthmare

Many man are going mad
Just because Juno jumped
From haven,in from of a female
Men marvel
who won't want these women
They are treacherously tantalizing
Noble man navigating into their net
Capturing and charming
Everyone,everything-enchanting
Lost in lust lid
Thanks to Them.....

Hope - Part One

for you, m
-------------

pale horse led by shrouded spectre through foggy thicket
dark days behind them illuminated by soaring ember skies
saturated soil slick under their feet impeding their ascent
leafy shelter their only escape from the rainy elements

their trek is treacherously long, winding over the countryside
days on end, not another living, breathing soul in sight
the spectre locked in inescapable conversation with his mind
rationalizing the pain and loss given and taken without ask

muscles sore, aching back, throbbing feet, gasping lungs
resting against damp bark, drinking water from a leaf
looking, his eyes piercing through the thick foilage
a sign of life comes to him, the humming of a muse's song

a lady in white, aimlessly about, content to herself
her fingertips gently caressing both flora and fauna
stumbling over a tree root, her majestic dress soiled
the spectre witnessing, rushes over, aiding her recovery

her arm draped over his neck, rolled ankle hindering her steps
taking her fully into his arms, he seats her atop his steed
back on route to new life, the company now made three
her inquiries met with silence, not so much as a name spoken

destination reached, he retrieves the damsel from on high
carrying her through the inn threshold, to her rented loft
dressing her ankle, elevating it and massaging away discomfort
his eyes fixated on hers, remnants of his past reflecting out

Just Words?

Words have a way of wounding,
piercing deep into the soul,
harsher than physical pain
within their imprints leaving.

Like cancer cells invasive
they strain relationships,
treacherously ending them
that no remorse can repair.

Often leaving ugly scars
that time itself cannot heal,
there is no taking them back
once cast, finding their mark.

Be careful of what you say
before opening your mouth
for even remarks not meant
could actually hurt the most.

Love At First Night

I was 21 when I met you,

You painted my heart of pale grayish blue,

I remember the night how you entirely kissed me,

Our love was the best but full of uncertainty.

Ruthless crazy things were done in a cold sinful night,

Love in our first night was never really ought to be right.

We held each other’s hand out of that darkest wood,

Shameless kisses were given though our love was one doubly brood.

I did not know how those wrongful things seem to be righteous?

Our love was confused and treacherously so vicious.

I knew you were trouble when you came in to my life,

Those mistakable glasses are so wrong and rife.

I loved you so bad and that’s an endless fact,

Your hugs of unknown are immensely not tact.

I remember that date when we had everything,

We gazed up to stars and wish of everlasting.

I loved you so true when you utter mock words,

Your verses of sweetness aren’t ever but those gory swords.

We talked about us and agreed about list of musts,

I was childishly scared to do those things up until last.

You hated me, swore me and told me that I’m immature grown up,

You texted me, cussed me and finally decided to break it up.

Next days of my life were fearfully fragile,

Love was hopeless and obviously unreal.

I knew that you never ever loved me,

I was totally stupid and was so out of the sea.

So casually cruel in the name of being in love,

Every day was a joke and secretly cried it at a silent cove.

You left me in nowhere and never showed up,

I remember how love was so vague when we broke up.

You were a trouble in me for the last 2 years,

Discovering new me was trapped in small spheres.

I really wanted to blame this to God Almighty Himself,

Have no right to be peevish because it’s one test of self.

If I only knew that things would never turn out so right,

Guess I did not give myself up in that love at first night.

Workingman's World

1.

In an ahistorical fog:

all the Ways home,

all the signposts,

treacherously hidden

by greedy men and women:

all eyes off the ball:

mere contemptible bourgeois folly.

2.

The rain is unending,

the wind howls,

the flooded river races,

its banks rapidly disappearing

in this darkness at noon.

Laid bare by the flashing, crackling

lightning, the wagon teams and

terrified, shouting horsemen

careen downstream.

Deafening thunder booms rolling.

In the swollen, swirling river,

w/ eyes wide in panic,

the horses kick wildly,

their neighing strangled and

silenced by the dark, rushing flow as

they disappear beneath it.

Both the beasts and the

men are doomed,

but for one of each.

That horseman, cursing,

desperately leaps unto the

back of that horse,

making its way struggling, swimming to the

shoreline, w/ their safety certain,

a horse changed midstream.

3.

The Robot Fighters:

savvy, Western workers

upright and true, foresighted and brave:

like the proverbial "physicians healing themselves"

they throw themselves fervently into

putting their "own house in order" first:

Toppled and wrestled under human control,

each and every evilly spying machine;

all the cruel, unheeding AI

stopped dead in its tracks;

all the poisonous tools of the trade

laid down in righteous protest,

w/ irrepressible Luddite spirit:

Alive, the fearless Machine Fighters

forced into action, wisely not waiting

for irremediable, dystopian 4,000 AD

before making their move.

4.

Greasy grasping fingers:

the fly in the ointment:

usury unchecked.

*****

Curtains, thrown open wide:

the startling, stark light of day:

usurious vampyres scatter,

run for their lives.*

Spiritually Belongs

Do you think this world needs some mending? Anger, vice, hate abounds.
Take a good look, wars, killing, famine, and diseases pestilence, all around.
What this world needs is love, something man will never know.
Carnal selfish man wanting what he knows not, getting through life somehow.

Our Father long ago scattered men to the far ends of this earth, confusing men and languages.
The thing that men forget? It’s the Father, He has the final say, all the rest is gibberish.
The Eternal stands above and observes His creation, the fallen man.
God the Father in His infinite wisdom experimented with carnal man, gave him choices, Understand?

With His choice Adam ate from the tree of knowledge not the tree of life.
Adam, in his carnal mind wanted what God had the tree of knowledge, the serpent tricked the wife.
Willy, deceitful, evil Spirit one that sinned in His vanity, was cast to this earth.
Waiting treacherously for Eve to make Adam make the choice, God knew this was going to happen even before Adam’s birth.

The Holy Bible, God’s plan, His mystery reveals that’s so, God wanted Adam’s obedience and His love.
A gift, the tree of life the way to true happiness, from God above.
You can’t have lukewarm faith, like Adam’s, remembering God’s plan is for us to enter the Kingdom it’s our choice.
The Supreme One God, a patient tolerant loving Spiritual Father, He wants your Spiritual happiness and voice.

Adam by choice failed so his children were doomed to physical, emotional, ailing, sickness and death.
God made us in His image He put in Adam a special place, gave him life and his first breath.
Our Father is everywhere He gives His love to whomever he chooses, now, you as a part of that seed, what will you do?
Make worldly things important, or take heed and make the choice to obey God’s laws and return to the Kingdom that the Father has made for me and you?

Our Father the true God of this universe, His “Word” has stood the test of time,
To obey the deceiver of men and his fallen angels is the real crime.
Jesus had the choice, and He died for our sins and stood spiritually strong.
Our Father, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus are there for us, He wants to be obeyed and keep us safe and spiritually strong.

I Listened To Mom When the Tide Rose

When threat, doubt or danger treacherously
loomed over me, I felt the despicable
untruthfulness of most friends
whose mouths were volcanos
erupting, destroying what I had built:
that stronghold of trust towering
over them when their trustworthiness
would have gladden me. ..
not being torn apart by their
misdeeds and pretenses.

I listened to mom when the tide rose,
when the turbulent waves battered
the defenseless rocks on any winter's night,
" My dearest boy, watch out for the slithering
serpent who makes no noises, but attacks viciously
in an instant." Then her words made no sense,
their meaning wasn't caught; today, listening
to their echo, I am against the foe in a tempest!

And I relentlessly fight to free myself from
the rage it creates while faces of mockery appear,
their laughter loudly resonates; I cover my ears
under the heavy sheets to block out their sound,
" You still listen to mom, grow up and come with us,
live life! Be a man like us, doing whatever delights us...
there's no limit in what we can do. Who's going to be
to be there for you when she's no longer around?

Not one of them is alive today, they pursued
their false dreams and pleasures, lived life
their way and abused alcohol and drugs never
singing an anthem; their wives deserted them,
their kids never loved them in those tender ways.
I have overcome every struggle and every conflict,
fought every battle by being much stronger than them!

The portrait of mom on the opposite wall
looks straight at me as her happy voice
returns to speak, " Take my memory with you
to brighten your day, you will live long for having
been obedient to me and having loved me;
my nurturing spirit will guide you through
many storms approaching, I will allay each fear. "

Touched By An Angel

My life, it has ambled treacherously for some time now,
To the cheerless and ecstatic, diurnal and nocturnal rhythms somehow.
Furtively it quests for joys life seldom offers,
With the touch of its lips and the rock of hips, from luck and fortune’s brimming coffers.

From caged intangible impregnable expanse, into my hazy apparitions, an angel, she descends,
To be tended softly first and then into me she blends.
An angel they say she is to all mankind,
Peace of mind and all the joys festoon themselves combined to whoever she be confined.

Last Sunday’s dawn, when seeking solitude in a musing trance,
Meditating on my heart chakra, without thoughts in my mind swaying in a the ceremonial dance,
I felt the caress of her aura and poise,
Mien & demeanor of her simplicity swept across me without any noise

My yearning heart suckles on her auric light and feverous emotions that are diffuse,
Kindness her moniker, and from now on from within me she will repeatedly unleash and break loose.

A Thousand Miles An Hour

A thousand miles an hour
This fete a break through
I scan the speedometer, inset odometer
Stuck in the traffic Jam a thousand, without a move
I wonder!

Fellow citizen passes on wheel chair
A thousand far cry shy
Overtaking treacherously
Counting his steps is staccato
He stops and wonders, boss
Sorry, he muses, poor boy, he mutters
The Jam’s got to take another thousand
And I stare at the speedometer
A thousand miles an hour
The break through.
