Best Timeautumn Poems
on a leaf, sailing
smoothly to bygone phrases
laced with time I bow
to unknown spirits, watching
trees dance in orphic autumn
The season slowly descends
as Autumn begins
greenery gives way
to reds, yellows and gray
ancient cycles repeat
as summer retreats
The squirrels furtively work
gathering their food
and it all just enhances
the forlorn, autumn mood
the warm air gives way
to cool, breezy days
crisp, clear, starry nights
are lovers' delights
angst, passion, desire
they ignite the heart's fire
and the season's transition
stirs spiritual ambition
the trees' colors they show
on the eyes with a glow
in the oblique twilight
ever earlier comes the night
can you hear the cries
of the geese cyclical flight?
it presents quite a sight
in the late afternoon light
then the moon starts to rise
bright, orange, oversized
what a sight for the eyes
winter is awaiting
just 'round the bend
Ancient cycles repeat
again and again
As I walk this dusty road,
the same one you and I once crossed.
Looking back in time
in this dream I'm lost.
Thoughts pondering my mind,
I fear I'm growing up to fast
as I slowly start to see
the past should stay the past.
Now I’m kicking up the dust
and starting to look back,
at a life I know is over,
cutting like a heart attack.
I wonder where she is
and if shes doing fine.
If shes on a brand new journey,
not so different to mine.
Maybe one day,
again our paths will meet.
And we'll each trade our stories
in the mid Autumn heat.
Until then ill close this box
of old letters that have saved,
and lay down the memories
of which this dusty road is paved.
While lying on my side in bed
I stare through windowpane and shade
And watch the autumn season fade
With every falling golden dead;
And with each leafs descent to ground
A sadness seeps into my soul.
I turn around then lose control
And shed my tears without a sound.
Why must this season loveliness
Take leave from me each passing year
And take with it all I hold dear
And leave me with this emptiness?
Time you know I’m on your side
I’ll be with you in a while
And even if it’s not on your side
You know I’ll be in just a while
Momentum can shift
In a days lip of a lift
Along with the wind
And the waters drift
I can move you forward
In the touch of a sip
Child you know time is on your side
I’ll be with you in a while
And even if it’s not on your side
You know I’ll be in just a while
If autumn calls
Then this winter’s for all
And as winners we’ll fall
Nothing makes everything
Mean so much more to you
And everything that’s logical
Means so little
In your moments of truth
Time you know I’m on your side
I’ll be with you in a while
And even if it’s not on your side
You know I’ll be in just a while
Merlot wine in the touch of a time
We weren’t exactly fond of
Truth was underlined
As the ability to move along
Mistakes were meant to sooth your wrong
A time I was yet too smooth to yawn
Tired and ale in a daze so pale
A heart attack followed by a stroke on the lawn
On and on we continue to moan
And now you know it won’t be long
“history”
I’m happy, I’m sad
I’ve been in the same mood so long
That I can’t tell
I’m happy, I’m sad
I think I’m going through hell
But I can’t tell
As the rest of the world thinks it’s in a recession
I reside with those
who never had anything to begin with
Maybe a belated wish
A portion of noodles on a small dish
Scratch metal parts
A lot of muscle and heart
It won’t carry you for the most of your days
But it will marry you
through the remainder of your maze
Just when you think times can get no worst
The holidays peer over and into your nights
Life evolves around a lesson in a small town
Where hope is an instrument that’s rarely found
I touch on the premise
And yet to open eyes it remains unsound
Used to having less
And at twenty-two I reach for stars
To catapult my worries
above my adversaries and scars
I’m almost a man
But I’m not quite there
The majority of my life
I’ve been stranded in an isolated state of mind
All spectators seem to do is laugh and stare
I’m home for the holidays
But I am not yet there
Dear life I miss you
And I’m not gone
I miss you
And I’m standing on the other side of a happy home
It’s days like this
That autumn kisses, and winter tells
It’s days like this
That paint a warm face pale
