Best Thankfully Poems

Pause To Ponder Thankfully

Here I pause to pose my ponderings, spilling them to the sky beyond me.
I have wistfully wondered and wished and been filled with gratitude recently.
Thank you earth for grounding me, granting me growth and endless glee.
Thank you sun for warming me, welcoming me with the wonder of light so gracefully.
Thank you moon for your perfect pastel glow, peeping through the clouds so playfully.
Thank you life for holding me steady, sure and safe and sound. I'm happy.
Thank you mother for your diligent direction and loving me doubtlessly.
Thank you father for your hard work, wealth of wise words and charity.
Thanks you faithful friends who remain fearless in the face of how fickle time can be.
Thank you sky for my horizon, the emblem of my hope and health and humanity.
Thank you sea and sand and sunny sanctuaries for the times we were carefree.
Thank you faith for granting me the freedom to invest in my future firmly.
Now for liberty and luck and opportunity to learn, I have been leant to gratitude recently,
So, I gratefully accept that I am able to achieve in and appreciate the great life before me.

Yours Thankfully

I rushed, I rushed, to catch my bus
Ignored the building urge in me
And tried to fight the urgency
Could not give in... but now I must

I pledge no more complacency
Whilst praying for that open door
Cross legged, it seemed a mile or more
So, thank you for the vacancy

Oh Lord, I sit so gratefully
I’d feared humiliation
From this my mocking nation
For I did not get here gracefully

Thankfully

Chemically induced confessions
Traceable affections
A hands on lesson
Your body on display,
 eyes follow
the edge of every curve
from your smile to your hips
to my freudian slips
My thoughts and your body
are one and the same
the sound of my pillow
Says my heart is racing
In a minute, I'll exhale
to keep the room from spinning
Justice on my mind
For a crime I have in mind
Your bitten lip
says you're complicit,
confessions are whispered
guilty as I am
 the sun begins to ascend
as we transcend
all that we were
Embracing who we might be
on a forever endeavor
or maybe just a few hours more
Crime and punishment
Criminally negligent
Title it however you want
I will remain unapologetic
for you thanking me
repeatedly.
That was what I was thinking.
You have a right to remain silent
Now, shall we begin
with some extracurricular activities
retracing the lines I drew
from your body
to that synapses
 that said
"Don't say a word"

Premium Member Thankfully, He Loves Me

Thankfully, He loves me
More than I can imagine
With a love that is alive
And filled with compassion

Thankfully, He loves me
Beyond what words can say
Fulfilling my every question
With answers filled with praise

Thankfully, He loves me
In ways I can’t possibly betray
With inspiration that enlightens
And joy that is incomparable

Thankfully, He loves me
With a tenderness that warms
Lights up my life with a fire
Discovered in the heart of God’s word

Thankfully, He loves me
Reassures my heart and soul
Keeps me close to His spirit
With serenity that is a delight

Thankfully, He loves me
Surrounds me with grace
Mercy that survives my sin
And heals me from within

Thankfully, He loves me
Accepting me when I need Him
Leading me toward a bright future
Where His love abides forevermore

Thankfully, He loves me
Creating a hope in my heart
Giving me a generous portion
Of spiritual insight into true love

Thankfully, He loves me
Never leaving me without His grace
Providing feelings of pure kindness
Whispering to my inner thoughts

Thankfully, He loves me
Much more than I love myself
With faith, I discover His spirit
Living inside where it shelters

Thankfully, He loves me
With a love that is so pure
It keeps me filled with joy
Fills me with a gentle completion

Thankfully, He loves me
With love that comes from above
Reaching down to comfort me
Through the worries and hurts

Thankfully, He loves me
And I love Him with all I am
Without Him, I would be lost
In a world where sin is all around

Thankfully, He loves me
And I pray He stays by my side
Forever my very best friend
The One in whom I abide

Absolutely blessed, Christ delivers everything,
fervent gratefulness, habitually induced, joyous
knowledgeable love, magenta nebulous omnipresence,
prayer, quietude, reflection, sacred Thanksgiving,
undying veneration, with xenismos yearly zest!
