Harken thy words unto thee
whilst Shakespeare set thine heart free
with tragic love and fantasy
lest thou forget reality
sweetness of breath
comes to those who inhale
while lingering death
belongs to souls of shale
remorse is a life unlived
as pierced hearts get shived
not by betrayal alone
nor feeble attempts to atone
but by those who spread the lies
of far fetched myths we despise
the talons of truth cut deep
bearing hideous scars of the past
upon those who shall weep
when wisdom's shadow hath been cast
mirrors no longer hide
the little child inside
as caged owls are released
when fear becomes thy beast
go hither burdens of prey
for your wounds have been healed
fly, fly far away
while verse shall be thy shield
so sayeth the King of Talons....

I feel like with her I'm just an after thought but at first I didn't mind and that's why I feel like such a prick...
I kept my feelings separated for as long as I could
She's not the first that I've wanted but she's gotten me hooked
It's not like a curse she's a blessing in disguise not a lot of us learn she hides away in her bubble my curiosity burst and now I'm certain that I've got her immersed our minds hurt cos our hearts merged solid and firm and I still kept my feelings separated for as long as I could
Now lost for words got me working on what rock I should turn on my search to find out what our honesties worth
Honestly at first I understood what corner I should've probably took
I still probably should instead I'll probably spend a life time longing for her and her words burning in my head like bonfire logs in the woods why would I wanna look back on the worst time in the book I've worked hard to forget what it's like not to be heard...
I feel like with her I'm just an after thought but at first I didn't mind and that's why I feel like such a prick...
You've heard about the early bird getting the worm first well my worm has turned for worse and my love lifes switched reverse
Hit the dirt looking like a write off that's crashed and burnt space cadette struggling to think now I'm back to earth still gravitating towards her taunted by the small hints of her fragrance and when I lick my lips I can taste hers
I don't recognise myself and every face that I see is hers
I'm a ghost in the mirror I need some drugs to be administered
Blood vessels burst in my brain when I think the worst skipped the last train back then on road had to hitch a hearse and missed the first turning into home... Or is it hers?
I'm like a theif at the window between two worlds where my spirits cursed....

yes
i remember how we used to fly
i recall the crisp dreams that gave paper cuts
that were sweet on the skin
the times when we sat for hours at the fire
allowing the mixture of our thoughts to waft through the smoke
the dragon was the morning clouds
with talons that dragged the cirrus into rows
brilliant deep orange
the trials and tribulations
were that of the moment only
as the future was too remote
and the past too irresolute
we could sing like an aria without the slightest of provocation
stepping into realms we knew nothing about
with the zeal of a zealot absorbed by a newly created religion
a fresh fetal beginning with the body of a near adult
the chrysallis shifting bones into new formations
we laughed and laughed
because in all of those transfixing moments
we knew we were right

Talons.
A Pidgeon panicked!
It flew flapping in its thunder;
In a motion rolling beneath
swaying leaves.
Floating in its light
eyes wide,sunlit,shattered
In its thunder.
Morning appears through
a misted velvet night !
A solitary coo, no thunder
or wings.

Original perception
That wave of thought
Just breaking into breath
Eyes awake
The formative tissue merges
Seeking destiny with each pounding rivet
The sensory system develops
Highly charged with Nabisco appetites
As valves open and close filtering
Shimmering cultural ennui
World weariness revolts
Motors charged innervated
With bold forward missions
Spiritual prowess
Masked in the empire of symbolic
Dominance
To give up the cultural mandate
Reheat the branding mechanism
Of limited identities clinking in chain mail
And release the contracted talons as they are
Ready to unfold, break loose

Here comes the talon bird, sea eagle to you.
His grizzly bear claws will do much damage too.
A grip strong enough to break a human’s arm.
I was stunned to find this talon bird no my farm.
Stay away from the window, hide in the closet if you can.
With those talons he could probably carry away a small man.
If he knocks on the door, pretend that no one is home.
Today’s entertainment for me has been writing this poem.

Unlike the first Revolution…
this time we have to take America
back from within
Like drug and alcohol addiction
we need detox
and rehabilitation
The traitors and despoilers left
to wither and die
Too many have sacrificed
for the freedoms we take for granted
to abdicate our responsibility
to the lunatic fringe

Fair-minded whale playground, compass dismisses
Ceylon sapphire zero horizon echo orchestral chamber
Forge rolling bow voyages of uncharted distance
Cut water instant recovery, oily onyx giants' undulations
Gleefully refuse gravity's hard ground insistence
Halloween door creak elaborate speak, torso of paisley
Gyrations ridicule keel knife edge flow resistance
Harried sails flap before collapse with human impatience
Dugongs admonish monolithic ships gritty missions
Adventure crave creatures flank vessels for playful races
Delight in the chase, never capture small victims
Allure fluid, serene serenades resonate clarinet cadence

Haibun: Man and the Bird
Something is opaque in the sky; he cannot read it. There has been some throbbing in the heart for quite some time but he is mentally uncertain about the emotion behind it. He is thoughtful between any action or inaction.
eagle’s direction is fixed
wings closed, it dives into the lake-
a fish dazzles in its talons
