Best Take Back Poems

Take Back Your Heart

Too many years
 too many hard times
 too many mistakes to forgive
 too many memories resurface
when you look for a new love
you're welcome
 to take back your heart.

Take Back Your Children

Daley Thompson's Decathlon
A game that made your fingers throb
And Pacman was an intriguing game
A mission of sticking things in his gob
Who could ever forget Space Invaders
A quest to blitz the monster's before you were reached
And Donkey Kong was a journey towards the animals breach

The last 20 years have been a video game extravaganza
From the Atari to the PS3
And Nintendo and XBOX have followed suit
But made board games obsolete
They have fastly become the 21st century babysitter
Able to hypnotise your child with ease
And catapult them into a fantasy world
Where gladiators are killing giant cheese

This extravaganza is no laughing matter
We need to fight against this electronic regime
Instead of paying £39.99 for things like FIFA 13
It's time to take back our children
Allow them to be innocent again
And rather than locking them a way in a room
Take them to the park again

Premium Member Take Back the Land

Where is the nation once united under God?
Broken is the moral compass that guides her.
The people sleep while the devil is at play
like a fattened calf, we are ripe for the slaughter.

The sky has darkened across the heartland of America
the clouds weep tears of anguish, the earth crumbles.
Where are holy words of prayer, now muted in fear?
The law of the land usurps the will of the people.

Shall we passively drink at the fountain of compromise?
Waters of right and wrong are muddied in ambiguity.
May we rise up on behalf of our families and freedoms
be a voice for the helpless cries of the unborn holocaust.

Let us not let our land turn into a massive landslide
or fall unwittingly into an abyss of hedonistic ruin.
For, united, we can break the strongholds of the evil one
and take back our land, for "In God We Trust".

You Can'T Take Back

You can’t take back the tears I’ve shed,
you can’t take back the words you said!

You can’t take back the loneliness in my heart,
you can’t take back the feelings to depart!

You can’t take back the endless lies of deceit,
you can’t take back the miles of defeat!

You can’t take back the torture I’ve endured,
you can’t take back insecurities you’ve ensured!

You can’t take back the disloyalty to me,
you can’t take back the demeaning debris!

You can’t take back the selfish displays,
you can’t take back the relationship of decay!

You can’t take back the need to dominate,
you can’t take back the destruction you did create!

You can’t take back the chaos and mental despair,
You can’t give me back, wasted minutes, days, and years!

Occupy Wall Street- Take Back the Cornfields of America

They look down from their penthouse and turn up their nose.

They see us all as a murder of crows. Bunch of pests and foul nuisances trying to eat of their crops.

Not sons and daughters and mommas and pops.

They don't want to hear of our lower class rambling.

Why shan't we continue our financial gambling?

Their scarecrow is the media which deems us all decadent.

We shall not yield the cornfield, For we are the 99 percent!

I Can'T Take Back My Eye's

I can't take back my eye's
From you the most elegant girl.
I observe the billowing,
The wavy immature,
The adolescence of Thy creature.
You become disgusted,
It's natural and beautiful.
I can't take back my eye's.
You the princess of flower,
Roaming hornets moves restlessly.
They try to sing an effective song
In a choked voice
To win over your attraction.
Your tremble and nimble eye's
Artfully neglects this prologues.
You trained by the nature
About their manners and customs.
You keep intact your solemnity.
Some of them blown out and gone,
Some of them wrathfully gone,
I whom you guess a bungler
Astonish you,
Is now your room for an idol.
Still even now,
I can't take back my eye's.

Give Me a Forest and Take Back Your Lawn

Wild wild wild, keeps chanting my mind
That is where I belong
To be up on the world stage and perform
To jump in the air and land on the grass
Elated by the life’s concert
It’s a constant bass

Give me a forest
And take back your lawn
Lying on the mulch
The ants crawl
Over my dead mask
Wearing it was such a horrendous task

Watch me slip
Into the madness, you call
But Peace it truly is
Just once try and recall
You have trod this path too!
So why are you now appalled?

Premium Member If Only My Words I Could Take Back

The words passed through my lips,
Before my head had time to think.
The inflicted pain was not the intent;
If only my words I could take back.

Before my head had time to think
My emotions got the better of me.
If only my words I could take back;
Suffering in silence I would prefer.

My emotions got the better of me;
As sometimes they’re apt to do.
Suffering in silence I would prefer;
My immaturity shone through.

As sometimes they’re apt to do,
Words were spoken with a bitter sting.
My immaturity shone through;
It was with thoughtless ignorance.

Words were spoken with a bitter sting;
The inflicted pain was not the intent.
It was with thoughtless ignorance
The words passed through my lips.

Hola, Spain, Would You Take Back Florida

Hola, Spain, Would You Take Florida Back?

By Elton Camp

From the time of its first sight
Florida was sure no delight
Sand and bugs and way too hot
Is just about all that place’s got

Ponce de Leon learned the truth
That it has no fountain of youth
“Florida is ours,” Spain did say
Till Andy Jackson took it away

He didn’t know what he was gettin’
For most use it wasn’t very fittin’
Mainly what Florida became about
A place for rogue Indians to hide out

Dangerous swamp, mosquito and snake
It was more than most people could take
But then came the Florida land boom
“Buy down here and have some room.”

Many folks did what shouldn’t oughter
And bought land that really under water
When truth came out and the value fell
It put northern suckers into economic hell

Now we come to what Florida is today
A place where millions have come to stay
To drink yucky water with a yellow stink
And of disaster to live right on the brink

Above sea level they’re about six feet
A hurricane comes and they are beat
If a tsunami should happen to arrive
It could be that few would survive

Property values have dropped so low
That many people had to pack up and go
They couldn’t sell for half what they paid
Though a few years ago, they had it made

Even a house that’s underwater is no steal
When it easily could be underwater for real
Who wants, when they try to go outside
To find an alligator from which to hide

When the ocean level will finally rise,
Those near the shore will get a surprise
If Spain wants old folks with leathery skin
Taking back Florida’s a good place to begin

I Can Not Take Back What Was Said

I can not take back what was said
and would not if I could.
Without fake love I could instead
feel something that I should.

Dark entities will often pose
as someone that can care.
They promise love and offer those
something which is not there.

I ponder why you still pretend
to think that it was real
and wonder why you did not send
me love that I can feel.

For many days you were not there
and did not give much thought
about the things you claimed to care
that now you have not got.

I still remember when you said
that love meant everything.
Those words that echoed in my head
no longer mean a thing.

Take Back This Flower You Once Gave

Take back this flower you once gave.
I beg you, please accept it back.

Your gift meant the greatest value,
Your flower priced above my life.
To others, it might mean nothing
But to me, it was everything.
I never expected such gift:
Such present to such low fellow.

Nights were sleepless to think of her,
Morns were restless to preserve dew,
Days were forgetful while watching,
She compelled watching as living.
Everytime she bloomed to fresh hue
'Twas her beauty-bait she showered.

Take back this flower you once gave.
I beg you, please accept it back.

Flowers were my aspiration
But now I like nothing that glow
And my heart avoids offering -
As for the part of my toiling.
Enough of love, enough at all:
"The scars of love heed no potion".

Do take back those flowers you gave
And all those heavy favours back,
Please do accept these back, I beg.

Take Back Time

This never should have happened
It’s really all my fault
Take back time
And put that glass on my wrist

They took you away from me
Just a little too soon
Take back time
And put that knife through my heart

You lay there motionless
A never ending dream
Take back time
And lay me in that coffin

I’m sorry for what I’ve done
A silent tear on my sorrow
Take back time
And make it right

Take Back the Nights

Take back the nights that you stoled from me. You forced me to do things that I
never wanted to do. They haunt me all the time. The terror I endure when I walk
outside, I worry that you will find me and be waiting to hurt me yet again. I will
never forgive you for what you have done to me. I am your daughter not your wife
you have no right to violate me the way you have. When any one talks about rape
or molestation I break down and cry. It has been almost four years now daddy yet
what you did to me still lingers in the back of my mind. I do my best not to think of
it but trust me I will never forget it. No matter how many times you apologize when
you actually can have contact with me I will not forgive you. By blood you are my
father but by law and by me you are nothing to me. I refuse to claim you as my
father. For my father would not have forced me to do those kinds of things. Take
back the nights that you ruined my life.

It's almost time for you to vote
Cast your ballot and do not gloat
It's time to put back
Our reproductive rights on track

Take Back Reclaim Offense Please For Everyones Sake

Personally above and beyond all

I hate and despise in this world

Is misappropriation of certain

What used to be meaningful words

Critically descriptive important essential

That have been devalued demeaned

To such a lesser degree they bare no relation

To the initial gravitas they instilled

Like when I hear the throw away term

Racism is used currently bounded about today

With total and utter disregard

For what it was and is meant to represent

Now that I as someone who is someone

Who in general terms is rarely offended

Find absolutely nothing short of offensive

Because I know currently the trend is for
people to feign insincerity

Seemingly finding anything and everything offensive

Which personally I find both detrimental and most offensive of all

Because they have and find it somehow
or other acceptable to use these words

To use as a slogan or trump card to win an argument or justify a cause

But in reality they haven't got a clue what
they actually mean or meant historically

Identity and meaning in certain regard

To some people those who have experienced

The actuality and brutality embedded within

I hope are able one day to witness the day

These seemingly throw away words

Are reclaimed and are taken back placed
once again under their control

So as they can be truly appreciated and
understood in correct context

Not misappropriated so someone can
pretend to identify with

Because if they truly genuinely identified

They themselves would then finally realize

What it is like and means to be

" " OFFENDED " "
