American Brave

American Brave

To our brave for over all the years
For you some of us have shed tears
To you servicemen and women, who served and still serve
I say thank you, which you greatly deserve
You fight to protect our American way
You put your life on the line everyday
You protect the colors of our flag
Some of you come home in a body bag
You protect our flag of stripes and stars
Some of you come home with battle scars
Included are the people of 9/11 who died
The volunteers, the relatives and the people cried
I’m sorry to the families of the brave
Their sons and daughters who’s life they gave
We are Americans of this great country
Again thanks to all the Military

Tell Me Why

Each day we all may struggle
Many trying to just survive,
Other's become to overwhelmed
For they only inside wish to die.

Their minds are full of confusion
Without proper help, won't go far,
Family support no longer enough
These people forget who they are.

Mental illness strikes many people
Nobody know how hard families try,
The phone calls, letters and many prayers
No solutions found, only the question why.

Why wont anyone out there listen
Why must these people be fully down,
Where is the help they need and deserve
Why won't you help turn these people around.

Hae we all become so cold inside
A society that just don't care,
Why can't these people get any help
Have we ran out of love to share.

These pople are human beings
They have feelings that are real,
Place yourself in their shoes just once
Completely live in the pain they feel.

Then ask yourself a simple question
Now do i inside fully understand,
Mental illness is a serious disease
How can I help this child, woman or man.

The Twisted Fate of Mankind.

The world will stand united on a day we’ll all remember,
The destruction and devastation on the 11th of September.
Nations torn apart, by the tragic loss of lives,
Tormented, tortured people sent to their graves up in the skies.

Madness caused by people, who believe that they are right,
But if they serve their God, surely he doesn’t want them to fight.
The oldest story left to man, the one by God we’ve written,
Gives us hope and courage, and something to believe in.

Surely these fanatics can see they don’t make sense,
They’ve twisted their beliefs form what they originally meant.
Which leads us back again, to ask the question why?
If we follow our chosen religions, then why must people die?

Disbelief

Disbelief is what ran through my mind on this day.
Is this really happening?
Shocking is how I felt, as tears streamed down my face
Battered, were the buildings and the people rushing to help others
Everyone running, crying, screaming and dying.
Life ended, yet started that day. Pulling together for the good of others
Incredible heros were made that day.
Elated is how I felt as people were found alive, one by one.
Forever sad, for those innocent people that lost their lives that day

With Or Without Words

Got things to say, bottled up inside,
I'm trying to feel what that must feel like.
Been stuck inside you so long it must hurt,
you can't talk...with or without words.

Do you know there's people like you
that know how to talk without sound;
people who think and feel what you do
but use their hands and not their mouth?

But no ones ever taught you,
everyday you see people moving their mouths,
so you do too.
They don't understand you, you can't figure it out.

Has anyone ever asked you:
what you think?
What do you feel?
Why are you sad?
Why do you cry?

You know I'm not like you, I hear sound.
I talk with words, I use my mouth.

But I'm not unlike you:
I turn off my mouth and turn on my hands
and talk in a way so you understand...
because you deserve to.

Deserve to understand me
trying to understand you.
I'm not pretending to be
like you.
I just want to show you,
I'm human, and so are you
I feel what you feel,
and when you speak,
I'll understand you.

All those thoughts and feelings inside
come on and let them out, I've got time.
I'm here
and I understand you.
