Singular bout.

In pursuit of outstretching its arms
Time swooped away a soul
Leaving behind in its swingeing saunter
Crumpled shadow of vulnerability
In a pair of avian eyes
Swooning further already fragile tone
In its gullet.

Whether incessant tremulous chatter
