Premium Member Soothing Serenades

Pained piano keys compose
a chorus-less composition.
Melancholic moods crave
to sway back and forth
like bluebells and lilies dancing,
when kissed by the morning breeze.

Forlorn flute flirts with sympathetic tunes,
echoing vivid vibrations,
piercing layers of a forgotten heart.
Somber undertones seduce the soul,
as it struggles to swim,
silently immersing in sorrowful symphonies.

Yet the orchestra is mute - slumbering
in the ruins of unfinished musings.
Ignorant to the heartbroken harp
that lusts to strum romantic melodies,
but stands in sincere elegance,
decaying as dust suppresses its emotions.

Lyrics float by, searching for a home,
but remain unheard in the absence of the viola.
Its loss has become an enemy
to violin strings, crippled from cries
yearning for their cello comrades.
Alone their music does not co-exist
and falls upon deaf ears.

Music has no providence,
yet the mind is lost in its province.
Searching for soothing serenades
that softly sail ships towards
shores strumming sweet strings.

Sometimes harmonies struggle to enlighten in solitude,
but when composed together, their lyrics live forever.

Premium Member Timeless adoration

“A lover asked his beloved,
Do you love yourself more than you love me?
Beloved replied, I have died to myself and I live for you.
I've disappeared from myself and my attributes,
I am present only for you.
I've forgotten all my learnings,
but from knowing you I've become a scholar.
I've lost all my strength, but from your power I am able.
I love myself...I love you.
I love you...I love myself.” Rumi.

When you cry,
I wish I was those tears,
rolling down your cheeks,
dripping upon your strawberry lips.

I yearn to reflect like rainbow dust,
so you mirror like a confetti mosaic.
But in the duration of distance,
I walk barefoot upon a path of
dead roses, whose thorns are
covered in crimson drops.

In between the phases of pearls
and eternal embers in our sky,
I cannot sleep when you remain awake.
Afraid the moon will steal our dreams.

Time is an impatient muse,
but my adoration is timeless.
If only we could pause
and move in slow motion.

With the humility of Rumi.
My words are a colourless chore,
my mind a moth-eaten blank canvas,
but when you appear before me -
I'm a poetic waterfall of ivory ink.

In periwinkle petal phases
of personification, place my
choral carnation blossoms
in chronological chapters -
inside the personal memoirs
of your porcelain soul.

We are fragile figments,
but our serenade is not a fable,
so I keep writing orphic poems,
portraying your innocence and honesty
through an opulent sonnet,
reflecting your moonlight majesty.
Revealing desires of an enkindled heart.
If prose is too simple,
I'll create you a mausoleum of metaphors,
so when silence suppresses my speech,
my arrows of alliteration
will protect you until your last verse.

Before my last breath,
I may not create a perfect masterpiece.
So I wonder if my words will be worthy
or will you forget me
like the others who wrote before me?

In your analogies of abandonment,
I am a pristine scarf in your suitcase.
When I surrender to time,
will you wrap me around your skin,
until the end?

A Light In the Darkness

This darkness overwhelmes me yet a glow it lights my path
a fire burns inside me to defrost the winters wrath

This weight I bear suppresses hope and brings me to my knees
Yet someone here has heard my moans and calms my raging seas

Time and time again I fall, so wearily I tread
But then appears an outstretched hand, and nothing more is said

she lifted me beyond the precipice of laden fears
embraced me in her tenderness and wiped away my tears

This lonliness that fills the space where joy did once reside
Is lessened by a friendly soul, with whom I can confide

Heavens light sent from above, a stepping stone of hope
Placed along this winding road to help this blind man cope

Guilt

Guilt is a wasted emotion,
like a drop in the ocean,
pray for forgiveness and move on,
as God suppresses a yawn.

Premium Member Where Emotions Form

The heart is a reflection of the soul;
it suppresses the animal in Man.
It's the silent voice that says, yes, you can,
vetoing instinct; it gives hope control.
And won't settle for less than feeling whole,
trying to understand why life began.

Feelings tend to pool deep within the heart,
it's a reservoir of both joy and pain.
And though drained, over and over again,
it retains enough hope for a fresh start.
Under the threat of dreams falling apart,
trust becomes the strongest link in love's chain.

The human heart is where emotions form,
a place where love and trust define the norm.

Silence

If you look deep into her eyes
you will see tears welled up, waiting to escape,
like the secrets she has buried deep, for ages.
If you look deep into her eyes

If you softly brush her cheeks
you will feel smoothness scarred with wounds,
like the anguish she suppresses with her smile.
If you softly brush her cheeks.

If you inhale near her nape
you will smell her rousing fragrance covered with lavender,
like the burning passion she hides with kindness.
If you inhale near her nape.

If you slowly kiss her lips
you will taste lime infused with honey,
like the bitter truths she never reveals.
If you slowly kiss her lips

And if you wake up while she sleeps beside you
you will hear her unconscious whispers,
like the secrets she spells out
only when she knows no one is listening.
If you wake up while she sleeps beside you.

Premium Member The Cloak Of Night

The cloak of Night suppresses sounds;
all, but the faint beat of my heart.
Zoning out of reality,
I shelter in Night's quietude.

Muting the Day's cacophony,
the cloak of Night suppresses sounds.
And allows me to sort my thoughts,
without the annoyance of noise.

When Chaos rings inside my head:
distractions echo through my mind.
The cloak of Night suppresses sounds,
city life, tethered to the day.

Stepping outside of the moment,
my mind disengages with time.
For at the fringes of quiet,
the cloak of Night suppresses sounds.

When Days Are Dark Friends Are Few

When passion fails, love remains
Hills flattened and thus will your obstacles
Even if it seems impossible
No one can withstand possibilities

Day after day try not to lose hope
Abilities pops up like mushrooms
Yielding to negativity isn't going to help
Sooner you need to change your mind set

A day sets with new possibilities
Right now it's time to wake up and-
Erase the past that holds you back

Digging down my soul revealed a truth
Ambiguous visions translate to nothing
Rivalries suppresses innovative minds
Killing negativity gives birth to success

Finding your passion and dwell on it
Releases zest that keep's hustling alive
Intimidated by success is lethal
Erecting a tower with positivity is the foundation
Neither the storm of disappointments can win
Demolished goals can be rebuild again
Surrendering taking up a mission is cowardice

Active mind ignite uncontainable victory
Realization of a dream starts with one step
Endeavour to take a step forward each day

Fulfillment doesn’t limit industrious men’s vigor
Evicting indolent thoughts he does best
While they rest, i keep busy because I can rescue me!

Bharathi's Modern Woman

Holding her head high
with a resolute look;
possessing dauntless courage and wisdom,
She never feels subservient.

The emerging modern woman
fabricates her own traits,
by obliterating the customs
of engulfing in murk named ignorance;
and suppresses the routine
of living a melancholic life.

******

This is the translation of a verse from Mahakavi Bharathiyar's poem "MODERN WOMAN". He envisaged Modern Woman as a leader, law maker, savior and an independent person. Women were treated as domestic slaves in ancient India and his writings kindled women empowerment and gender equality. Remembering him on his death anniversary(Sep -11)

The original poem was written by Bharathiyar, one of the greatest Indian poets. It was written in Tamil. I am an ardent fan of him. He died so young(39).

He was fluent in many languages including Bengali, Hindi, Sanskrit, Kuuch, French and English.

Wikipedia:
Subramania Bharati (11 December 1882–11 September 1921) was an Indian writer, poet and journalist, and Indian independence activist and social reformer from Tamil Nadu. Popularly known as "Mahakavi Bharati", he was a pioneer of modern Tamil poetry and is considered one of the greatest Tamil literary figures of all time. His numerous works were fiery songs kindling patriotism and nationalism during the Indian Independence movement.

Premium Member - Defenseless -

Defenseless and drained of power
The reason is simple, you are a victim
an emotionless being without a heart

Hell is the snake in the room no one talks about
brainwashed lackey - screaming silence
- suppresses me with waves of steam

Missing a guardian angel
They find the hammer very quickly
aggressive enemy, a threat

The street has its own laws
the world is still full of shades and gray zones
Without shell protection, a defenseless turtle

What Is This World Coming To

What is this world coming to ,many falling short, some snort cocaine, or shoot heroin up their vain, some kidnap, some kill, some take pain killers, to kill the pain, why not throw the governments advil down the drain, and call the lords name, many fall short of who they should become, to the door of success they have lost the key ,they were focus on drug, pain, fame, money, anger, and the enemy, truly some times you become your only true enemy, What has this world become, many succumb to the cold, people sell their soul for riches and gold, behind curtains ,dark, dusty, filthy and demonic story's hidden, but secretly heard through the grape vine, I contemplate as I sip my grape wine. The youth in my world dose not take time, to take shine, I will be sure to take mine, we must accomplish something, before the doctors say flat line, the world is fading away in gloomy clouds filled with ruins and trash bins, where is the janitor, who seeks the janitor and savior, the ruler of our lives, the lord he can clean it all up, but still no one looks up and pray, or just simply say lord help me today, instead ignorance display as many disobey his commandments in every way.So today I must say, this world is heading to destruction, drowning in the devils concoction, hot lava eruption of failure and destruction, lead by corruption, interruption, the devils seeds, they grow in souls until they bleed, our world is starved and can't breath, or exceed these evil deeds and creeds, on top of this heat I pray, on thin ice.Parents struggle, to pay the rent, there back is bent, how much can the poor vent, to the government, the food in the fridge is little and a little child in the room, falling to sleep on a empty stomach,in a empty world, the only thing he had to eat, was the words of his mothers hope ,as she trys to cope down this slippery slope,of the devils soap. What is the world coming to, black on black crime, with little education how can you define, the true sublime image of life, the government suppresses and undresses us in the cold, I am tired success is bob wired by the governments structure ,the structure is poor, no wonder we see people laying on the city's floor, In this world I have nightmares , wake up the better image, what has this world become..........

Say this out loud...

Suppressed Wish

Suppressed Wish

Suppressing wish I supplied yours
You remained always complaining more
Surviving notion has if to stay
Needs learn to whit whatever you get
In paucity’s realm, supply of pinch
Becomes sufficient no claim of stint
If belly is big think that could be poor
Don’t throw hands and legs in Jim to reduce rim
Neither visits sometimes towards swimming pool
Replenish all time carbohydrate food
Mind is different suppresses all wish
He never knew dance of pub in village
Wobbly, bubbly, hobble with wife one
Always walk behind with carrying children
Life counts with job day night overtime
Payment of toil double becomes when
Claims he broadly spreading chest
27 years he passed in this lift for bread
Grey hair in temple, wrinkles in forehead
Corrugated line all over faces shredded
Suppressing his wishes he supplied to local
Always remained pinch meagre with gem
Retirement is welcoming standing in threshold
Local life in country side challenges more.

Leopard's In-Law

Among all beast from the Far East
This leopard is the beast of the east
He is so swift with clappers and claws
Claws that joy in breaking jaws
In or out of the many land laws
When you see him in a fare hunt he never withdraws
Until he gets his full fair share in the air,
However rare,
Flesh of his hare,
His portion and share

With all strength and broad length
He sets his priority in the dark though bright
Because he needs them right without a slight "fight"
He moves and writes women’s plight
At heart as he suppresses his might
Watch him on the telly
His steps are welly
As he faces his in-laws with his tail under-the-belly

Do you wonder?
Yes, you ponder and wonder
How this leopard can ever be shy
Of cause it isn't a lie
He never looks up in the sky
As he faces his mother-in-law for a bride!
This leopard needs a ride
He will no longer hide
But slide and glide
To meet his in-laws
Though slow, to glow and follow
His bride on the other side
To unhook his bide through good guide
On the other side of the site and sight so wide

Little Beast

Bitterness in the blood
Anger in the heart
Anxiety in the lungs

All are boxed
Stored in this brain
is where the mind is tamed
Where the evil is locked

You see this girl,
this girl you call me
is scared by these three things
that bond by a ring

You believe it to be a dream,
but is the truth, just a reality
that will start from a scream
Making all things, no normality

Darkness that rose, sitting in the eyes
marks that death will come
to end all the lives

Barried in the sewers
Locked in that prison
Find it here, behind it all
Never to be free
Never shall it be,
for its' release will feed

With a strike of its hand,
they all will be dead
By the smile on its' teeth,
necks will bleed
With no regrets
Its' arrogance is met

Not caring who lives
Nor of those who die
Its' mouth will spread
To do or to die

All will perish
Because of a broken heart,
and a quite mind
A mind that suppresses,
all those that are malevolent,
hard to forget
all things that happen to thee

Why must they use
Why do they play
Why do they trick
take
Slapping this face

All don't seem to care
Pushed away by that man
Fight if you dare
Hold back, hold tight
to all those tears
With no words to compare
No love was there
Attention stopped here
The heart's been tared
With sobs you couldn't hear

Is no wonder
the demon is in her
Locked in a cage
She feeds it her pains
growing from shame
It won't be tamed

"Let me loose," will it say
She Screams, " no, no one will die today"
"You will be free
of all things indeed
regrets won't be a need
you won't care if they beg please,"
Is all the demon says as he pleads

"NO,
You shall not be free
You won't define me
I won't let you free
because it will not be me"

The more it sets
The closer the demon gets
Through the windows of the soul
all will be black
and that girl will lack
all memory, of all death
With all that pain of mental mess
Won't you save thee
From the demon in her chest?

Premium Member Another Chance

Blind to what his heart couldn't see;
your love was hard to accept.
And thus, he ignored your plea;
something you did not expect.

Rejection leaves you upset
as tears douse passion's flame.
And your heart fills with regret;
conjuring feelings of shame.

And your lonely, tortured soul
learns love loathes to compromise.
But unrequited love's toll;
is that desire never dies.

Sorrow suppresses a tear
as innocence questions fate.
And accompanied by fear;
you sift the ashes of hate.

Your dreams get slowly replaced;
giving you another chance.
And yesterdays get erased;
invoking time's magic trance.
