Best St Matthew Poems
In the beautiful, grand stillness
Of a place for the transcendent,
Like a lately-faded illness
Seems the ugliness of now,
And I dare not look behind me,
Lest the simpering of the finite,
In the form of unctuous daylight
Beat its hatred on my brow.
The solemnity enthralling
Captivates imagination,
And I hear the ages calling
That wed purity and youth;
And I dream, however briefly,
That the evils that surround me,
That the hostile world around me
Vanishes for want of truth.

Like the morning ice on your car, unable to see out the window
In retrospect to who you are through the Savior that you know
It is as though you are blind unable to see anything around you
For there's but One answer to find as there's but one thing to do
Defrosting with a warm heart as now slowly you can begin to see
It's a little slow to start but pretty soon it'll reach a higher degree
The road ahead much more clear you simply venture on the road
For had you to suddenly veer, it's better than having to get towed
Yet on the road we travel many never press the defroster button
Walking around with a gavel acting as if they were God's only Son
Their heart is hardened, so ice cold and it being so dark outside
Darkness refuses to loosen it's hold thwarting all that you've tried
The defrosting is the biggest part without it nothing else can begin
It's like a warmth in your heart that wipes the ice or as I say sin
Soon the ice can't come back that warmth makes you feel good too
But if this is all you really lack then why not just try something new
THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS
'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10

PRAY MORE WORRY LESS
when you're just talking to Jesus
And you just can't believe it
Pray more worry less
when things on the job go long and wrong
And you just can't believe it
Pray more worry less
when based in problems
none of them you can't solve them
Pray more worry less
no job
hardly enough money
by yourself,lonely
Pray more worry less
when the pains of life get you down
and your passions for life can't be found
when based in problems
none of them you can't solve them
Pray more worry less
when things on the job go long and wrong
And you just can't believe it
Pray more worry less

O Mary, why do you weep;
It's just as He said
HE IS NOT GONE HE IS RISEN
O disciples why do you speak
It's just as He said;
HE IS NOT GONE HE IS RISEN
People of the nations, why do you disbelieve
The angel confirmed what Jesus said..
He isn't here!
He is risen!
HE IS NOT GONE HE IS RISEN
Risen from the dead!
Just as He said would, happen
Come, come inside the grave see where His body was laid
He is not here, He has risen, risen,
HE IS NOT GONE HE IS RISEN
He isn't here!
He is gone risen!
HE IS NOT GONE HE IS RISEN
From the dead, risen
Just as he said!
He's not dead!
HE IS NOT GONE HE IS RISEN
Alleluia Our Lord has risen
On this day over two-thousand years ago today
Our Lord and Savior has...rose

Lyric
Brother, will you cry for me
Would you let your light so shine
Brother, would you die for me
Above the mountains
at the tree you'd be with Jesus, Jesus and the thieves
Brother would you die for me
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister
Sister, O sister would you try for me
Hold back the tears, dry my wounds, for me
Sister, would you die for me
Hang your body on a tree at Calvary
at the tree you'd be with Jesus, Jesus and the thieves
Sister would you die for me
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister
Brother my Sister would you give me drink
Would you allow me into your abode for I do stink
Would you give me drink
Would you feed me food for my stomach, (sake)
at the tree you'd be with Jesus, Jesus and the thieves
Sister would you die for me
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister
For if we would all, just fall on our knees all
if we would just do the will of God (yes all of us all
If we just all do the will of the Father in heaven
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister
One who does the will of my Father in heaven
is my brother and sister

Lyric
I must have a generous heart
I once was a foreigner, an upstart
Now I am birth-born again
Now I am a new and changed man
I must have a forgiving spirit
I must listen to peoples pleads and cherish
All their cries and wailings
I must keep God’s commandments
I must have a generous heart
I once was a foreigner, an upstart
Now I am birth-born again
Now I am a new and changed man
This I must do, why, because
I will be treated as I have been treating others

It is in black and white, and in plain view.
The birth is described in the Gospel of St. Matthew.
He came to save the earth and his fellow men.
It was in a town called Bethlehem way back when.
Jesus gave his life for us, but is coming back again.

What would I have to do
And what would happen
If I would just ask
Then I will then receive
And if I would just stop, rest, and breathe;
Then I'd believe
So ask just ask God just ask Him
for what you need, what you want
What do you need of...just ask
What are you seeking
What are you hoping for dreaming
If I would just ask
Then I will then receive
And if I would just stop, rest, and breathe;
Then I'd believe
Just wait and receive may come instantly
Or later on in time
So ask just ask God just ask Him
for what you need, what you want
What do you need of...just ask
Wait and believe then receive
All this sounds physical which can be
but it can be also be spiritual
It's all in His word that
If you knock, the door shall be opened
Then I'd believe
If I ask just ask God just ask Him
for what we need, what we want
All I need do is you need of...just ask
All we need to, do is just ask

TAKE
Take no thought on tomorrow
Tomorrow is for tomorrow
And it thinks for itself
And take Jesus foe He says
Take this yoke upon
Allow the Son to give and not take
He's our redeemer for heaven sake
My Lord also says take and eat of His bread
Feed of my body consume it into your soul
Take my yoke upon you
Take my yoke upon you
Take my yoke upon you
It's gonna make you whole
Take and take heed Jesus yoke upon you
Take heed that you do not your alms before men
Be aware and careful...
Take

I am unjust;
But with a touch;
A right choice;
I'll obey, change my way;
For in the same way;
On this day...
I will let my good deeds shine;
Shine out for all to see;
So that everyone will praise;
The Father,
My Father
Father God;
Hallelujah;

Pray more worry less
About the things of this world
God’s got this
And as caretakers we are
Doing a poor job
Help us Lord
Our pure is poison
For our poison is pure
Going back to Jesus is the cure
God’s blessings are never ending
And for this I am assured
Pray more worry less
About the things of this world
God’s got this
And as caretakers we are
Doing a poor job
Help us Lord

and those who seek
find
and those who knock
tis, said that the door will be opened

Ask to receive
Knock at the door, believe
and the door will be
and the door will be
...the door will be opened
just ask and knock and open the door
and those who knock
