Sharper Than a Double Edge Sword

In the beginning, the Word was with God.
        And the Word was God.
        Until He sent Him down to Earth.

        The Word walked amongst us,
        Done miracles and show His love.
        But we felt He preached too much,
        It was time to shut Him up.

       We cursed and shouted,
       Crucified, crucified, let Him die.
       We want to live a sinful life.
       Away with the Word.
       We all are gods.

       But not all the seeds fell on barren soil,
       The Word will reap what He had sowed.
       Not all the hearts had darkened their souls
       Many still try to walk the narrow path.
       Although so many turned away from the truth
       And are led by a pack of wolves.

     But listen, the Word is sharper than a double edge sword.
     And divides perfectly between Truth and a Lie.
     And soon you will receive your reward.
     Based on how you lived your life.
     It is either Heaven or Hell.

A Prayer For a Sharper Vision

A PRAYER FOR SHARPER VISION

Lord, give us sharper vision in each and every day;
Help us to keep our focus upon Your will and way,
To look into the mirror of Your holy, perfect word
And listen to Your Spirit each time our hearts are stirred.
There’s so much to distract us that Satan has to give
To make our eyes so blinded and not for Jesus live.
The lust of flesh will tell us that we must do this thing
But will the Lord approve it and glory to Him bring?
The lust of eyes will tell us this sight we now must see,
But will it draw us closer and more like Christ to be?
The pride of life will tempt us to prestige and to fame,
But will it bring Him honor and praise unto His name?
We have a carnal nature we must die to each day
And walk now in the Spirit and follow in His way.
Lord, ever keep our vision on people lost in sin
And do our best to witness and many souls to win.
Lord, give us sharper vision of every ministry,
Of how to make it better, more pleasing, Lord, to Thee.
Lord, keep our church from drifting to any compromise
That we might think is better, but not pleasing in YOUR eyes.
And give our pastor wisdom and with Your Spirit fill
To guide us in the vision of doing, Lord, Your will.
May each deacon and each teacher, and each worker here today
Desire this vision also to follow in YOUR way.
Some day we know You’ll call us and at Your feet we’ll bow,
So help us keep our vision as we live for You now.

A Sharper Image

deeper deeper goes the blade
where it stops its destiny cant be made.
deeper deeper if i let it, it will
right now it's my one and only true thrill.

i can't stop it, but i know i must
i am losing all people who i do trust.
as i go further further into the dark
how can i get out with it making its mark?

i hide it inside so no one will see
red is not my color, no not for me.
after awhile it no longer causes me pain
but after awhile it is i who is slain.

deeper deeper the blade will go
the dark red silver it now does glow.
i must break free from this awful bind
but sadness is my weakness that i must leave behind.

give me strength to let go of the pain
if i fail i shall never be the same again.
don't let me drown in my bloody reflection
but save me and let me know not of rejection.

deeper deeper i went too far
i was weak and left a permanent scar.
lay me down gently gently please do
for i know my pain is now finally through.

you failed me but i failed you as well
i couldn't fight the urge to rebel.
the metal now lays still on the floor
and there it can stay and hurt me no more

Sharp.
Cutting. Ouch!
Sharp writing, revered.
Sharpshooter. Wow!
Sharp-sighted. Flight cleared.
Sharp-tailed grouse.
Sharp-eyed mouse.
Sharp-witted, admired.
Sharp-tongue makes me tired.
Sharp-cut, defined.
Sharpish,
Sharpie

Sharper Than Any Double-Edged Sword

S-harper than any double-edged sword,
O-ne God's truth sets man free;
N-othing ever is impossible,
N-ew result of His promise
Y-ou will see.

G-od's message is so clear
E-verytime it is conveyed;
R-ains from storm shall stop,
A-s everything is God-made.
L-ife comes from God's wisdom,
D-eath is willed by Him in time;
O-nce man follows His mandate, he shall be away from dirt and grime.

C-reator's command is so loud,
U-sing its power to convince;
S-eptember twenty-eighth morn
T-he Lord says what He means.
O-pen your heart, mind and soul,
D-enying not the Lord's holy word;
I-t can turn one's life around,
O-r it's sharper than any double-edged sword.

She is a very frustrated wife;
Has a very disturbed married life.
Like her, she wants all to be;
No one under her is free.
She has a tongue sharper than a knife.

Imagine if they took your loved one away
If she was the mother to your child, what could you say
Imagine the pain and suffering of not knowing when you would kiss and hold your loved one again

Imagine if your country didn’t care
If it’s a question of money that she’s still there
Imagine your daughter growing out of your sight

Tell me that doesn’t cut sharper that any knife

Imagine what life would be like for you
When they cast these lies, when they act so cruel
To keep a mother apart from her girl
To keep a wife apart from the man who loves her so

I am ashamed that she’s not home
I am ashamed of what we’ve become

Imagine Christmas when she’s not there
Imagine the pain, the bleak despair.

Nazanin deserves her country’s love
She deserves her daughters love
She deserves her husbands love

She deserves all our love.
