Trust Life

Trust Life
Don't let life pass you by,
Waiting for a better day, a better chance.
Live now!
Believe in the Good in people,
Trust Life.
Never walk in anyone's shadow,
Let the light guide you,
Feel the spirit of the universe
In the golden power of the sunlight,
As it gently caresses you face.
Open your eyes to the beauty around you,
Take your strengh from nature,
It is there for the taking.
It will fill you with power
To share with the ones that need it.
Look for the beauty you posess inside,
This is the Life you waited for.
Trust Life- and you could not wish
for more!

Beautiful Death

Bright and beautiful colors,
Here for a season.
Red, yellow, and orange,
To die is the reason.

Why beauty last for a season?
I don't really know.
Lovely sight for a week,
Leaves die and don't grow.

I want to photograph the tree,
At the end of the road.
But I never have my camera,
To give the oak its ode.

I look forward to next fall,
When again it beckons me.
The beauty for a week,
I long to see.......

Premium Member The First Flowers of Spring

My heart dark from the cover of winter
looks for sign of the warmth of spring.
It sees the green leaves and crown of the
crocus and the violets in the shady glen.
The regal iris by the gate is a purple delight
and I welcome the beauty they bring.
Delighting in the quiet promise that
daffodils offer as they dip their heads in
the breeze, my soul beings to wake from
winters long hibernation. It seems these
little treasure were sent to assure me
that once more the beauty of summer
 is not far behind.

Premium Member Waiting For the Show

They're working in my fields today,
Inserting orb surprises
And I will have a front row seat
As stunning beauty rises.

The planted fields are quietly
Protecting hidden treasure
That will in six short month unfold
To beauty beyond measure.

I will be here to see it all
When green spears first appear
As public notice to the fact
There'll be a show this year.

The weatherman has the last word
On when to raise the curtain
For these glories of our valley.
The exact time is uncertain.

It's for sure they'll bloom in April,
Maybe early, maybe late.
The wisest tourist calls ahead
To ask expected date.

I will be cheered thorugh winter's cold,
Just knowing what's to come;
The glorious tulips being timed
By Nature's pendulum.
