I'm not very good with a platitude
From my Dad I have got this attitude
Make it short, not too sweet
With the right kind of beat
And you'll have my endless gratitude!...

Curiosity sat next to the dead cat
While the horse wouldn’t be lead to water
A camel did cry looking through the needle eye
Henry the VIII had another daughter

A moss-less stone at a glass house was thrown
And the King thought he looked so cute
Then a little boy who was rude told him he stood nude
Dressed in Lady...

Inebriated Platitude
Sign right here on the dotted line
where everything is almost fine
and sip the sip of brandied wine
a thousand biting berries.

Step right up and don't be shy

finding the hands are mute.

Slow right down but don't be late
for you'll be sure to complicate
the winding road to...

Though there is very little,
in sharing a second thought- ...

Premium Member Platitude Plateau

Up the delicate dale
of latticed life,
at esoteric edge
of sinking sky,
hermit horizon
shimmers sensuous,
glows paled passion.

On convolute contours
of scrambled dream,
whirlpool desire
swivels in inert stream,
arcane mindscape
usurped unsculpted
in twilight obscurity.

In platitude plateau,
the final flow
originates inspired,
ordained for
integral fusion
with supreme sea,
the end embrace
of sublime silence.

Suffused whelmed
with sunrise...

Poem More Than Mere Platitude and More
Platitude is a remark or statement, especially one
with a moral content, that has been used too often
to be interesting or thoughtful.

Poem More Than Mere Platitude

This poem is more than mere platitude;
McCain always did have great attitude;
Heaven waits;
Open gates;
Must give our prayers with gratitude.
