We don’t know what tomorrow may bring
But we want something that will make our hearts sing.
And the things that will make our hearts sing
Is the beautiful memories that it brings.
What is tomorrow but another day
Another day of living, another day of giving
Another day of sharing, another day of caring.
All of our tomorrows will be yesterdays
And all our yesterdays are our pasts
And it will be another memory that will last.
Watching all the Doo wop groups of yester year
On wpbt made me feel old as can be.
With each tomorrow brings you closer to old age
And your life will never be the same.
I will take all my tomorrows and hold them
Like a newborn child, and give thanks to god above
For showing me how to love.
And when my tomorrows become my yester years
With everyone that I know, these memories I will share.
There are too many roads,
that have lead me down it's path ---
It seems the further I journey,
the more society shows me their rath ---
So I go on into this mystery called life ---
Even though each day greets me like an ex-wife ---
Burdens do not diminish as one grows older ---
Infact trouble doubles and the public seems colder ---
When I am out and trying to have some fun ---
I run into individuals who attack like a sniper's gun ---
Not with an angry fist or an evil word ---
Rather they'll cast an evil eye, like a predatory bird ---
Relations often tell me to ignore this harrasment and pay them no mind ---
This is rather difficult when these citizens act like they are out of their mind ---
Pushing and shoving to get ahead everyday ---
Just to make enough money to live day to day ---
In the end when there is nothing left to do but die ---
Will you laugh and be at peace or scream and start to cry?
in the Lord's Prayer there is this one simple line
which is profound, intense and also sublime
"Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread" is what it does state
the Word Of God on which to dine in order to keep the faith
living on the providential portions sent to us by the Lord God
living on His promises which will spiritually nourish our hearts
God desires that we pray on everything that from Him we possess
and to pray for ourselves as well as for others is the message we need to address
for prayer is the way to give Him thanks and to give God all the praise
the way to communicate with Him on a level so that the spirit in us will be raised
as everything that we have comes courtesy of the Lord Our God
all we desire, all we require, all that is in our hearts
no man nor woman, no sinner nor saint, no devil nor demon can ever aspire
to fulfill every need we depend on nor everything that we would require
as man cannot live by bread alone we need God to supply the rest
those providential portions on which we can attest
so stop worrying about the job, the finances, the cars and the homes
trust in God to provide all you"ll need by the power of His throne
God is very concerned about the things we need from day to day
and most of all He desires that we prosper in each and every way
He does not want us to be begging nor to borrow nor to steal
He wants us to turn to Him in prayer and it sure wouldn't hurt to kneel
so recognize the hand of God in everything that you own
and come to understand that it all has come to be by the grace of the Heavenly Throne
just trust in Him for He is in control
and believe that He watches over all our souls
and to know that what He provides each and everyday
is sufficient enough for us to somehow make a way
so don't be selfish when you pray, learn to pray for others
remember you're not here alone include you fellow sisters and brothers
for God loves the sinners and well as He loves the saints
He also loves the strong of heart as well as the faint
Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread and those providential portions on which we're living
and believe in your heart that it will be sufficient enough whatever to you that God has given
I shall be Monday and blue.
I’ll be a morning with a greyish hue.
I’ll be a short spell of afternoon rain.
I’ll be all rubbish on telly again.
I shall be Tuesday and cream.
I’ll be a quick wake-up from a long dream.
I’ll be the breeze on the evening run.
I’ll be the washing-up not getting done.
I shall be Wednesday and yellow.
I’ll be that breakfast-time radio fellow.
I’ll be that tennis match out by the hill.
I’ll be an evening, peaceful and still.
I shall be Thursday and puce.
I’ll be a third try, still no flippin’ use.
I’ll be a warm spot of afternoon tea.
I’ll be another poor night on TV.
I shall be Friday and black.
I’ll be that girl with her hair tied back.
I’ll be the nightclub that chucks out at one.
I’ll be the time to relax and have fun.
I shall be Saturday and brown.
I’ll be a headache and all-morning frown.
I’ll be a coffee and straight back to bed.
I’ll be the day nothing ever gets said.
I shall be Sunday, and green.
I’ll be late morning, wound-down and serene.
I’ll be all day without one thing to do.
And then I’ll be Monday, and naturally blue.
I am that man
Who's lived this life since it began
I am that man and I find it's true
That I'm responsible for what I do.
I am said man
The sum of my choices to God's plan
That manifests both lows and highs
Revealing there both truth and lies.
It is I indeed
Rest assured that it is in fact me
Whose path might sometimes take
The more scenic route by mistake.
I am that one
With many battles both lost and won
And, I know that I will lose one more
That day I stand before death's door.
I am the one
Who has to face the things I've done.
I am the one who will one day stand
Before my Maker by holy demand.
So, I am he
With no one else to blame but me
I hope that when I make that stand
I'm not ashamed to be that man.
Timothy I. Brumley
Each day remains the same
no one is at fault no is to blame
all the days wasted what a shame
yesterday was twinkle in my eye
the things dreams are made of
the storm that has no eye
that will resonate over and over again
to be constant to always maintain
to reverberate through time to become a stain
yesterday will always be the constant noun
the day that happens all year never on the rebound
prestigious and royal it may remain bound
We dream
Dream
Dream of delusion
Dream of what is not ours
What we wish to have
And
Dream we will
Till the day comes
Till the day passes
Without a hush
Quiet…
Dead…
Whisper
The day will pass us
And we will:
Dream
Because we, as inherited by our minds, are dreamers
And dreams are not real, dreams are fiction
Then how, can a dreamer exist?
We are our own
Cursed to dream
Conjure up what we may never have
Because
We Dreamers
Fear what we do not imagine
We fear, what we do not consider
What has not played over in our heads
We fear, that what we imagined, what we partook in
Will be different
We have dreamt up our fear
Because, we who are afraid
Can only dream of being brave
And we who dream of being brave
Do so out of fear
This twisted cycle of deprivation
Must
By all means
Stop
So you ask me Carol, what dream I wish to come true?
The dream of living my waking life,
Not dreaming it away
Dreams are endless, Our lives
Are Not

Feed the mind,
It’s so cluttered,
Left behind,
I’ll murmur to you,
Feeling the truth,
Left inside,
I’m along for the ride,
Tonight we release,
This night, full of peace,
Freedom drips,
From every pore,
Feeling sore,
From past wounds,
It’s coming soon,
The day of reckoning,
The day of decision,
Destiny rides with us,
Dragging us along,
We’re never wrong,
We need the resolution,
We need a revolution,
Rise up,
Refuse all you know,
To live,
Just live.
Happy would be the day
When each person will be literate
Developed will be the nation
For improvement, why should we wait?
Happy would be the day
When women will actually have equal rights
Healthy would be each family
If today we cure the women’s plight
Happy would be the day
When no one will run after money
Love will be the only essence
Everyday would be pleasant and sunny
Happy would the day
If every child learns his duty
To exterminate corruption
When a leader would grow against brutality
Happy would be the day
If every poor will be employed
There would exist no poverty
If the officials do not act blind.
Happy would be the day
If everyman leaves fraudulence
Right will be the way
To give a chance to every scientist’s inquisitiveness
Happy would be the day
When people will not fight for religion
Time will change, so will people, I believe
So there will be no evil in name of region
Happy would be the day
If the nation is forever united
No one will able to disintegrate us
Problems like Terrorism would never crush us.
Happy would be the day
When the nation will be a noble ground
A land of commoners and also of Richies
Who would respect every creation of motherland…
Happy would be the day
If everyone realizes the importance of time
Importance of words and dreams will also not be spared
And for the growth of nation every atom would be cared
Happy would be the day
When I will see my generation awake
Content would be my mind forever
If everybody will live for their own sake!
SHORTEST DAY TRICKERY
Again December 23 is almost here
Frost’s darkest evening of the year,
Ok. But what really bugs me
Is that it is the date when we
Are actually closer to the sun
By three million miles - no I’m not making fun.
It’s like going to a supermarket where
It advertises mega-bargains in hardware -
Twenty-five percent off everything,
And then finding that we are paying
Three times the normal price in the western hemisphere.
Seems to me there’s a con trick here.
We’re being ripped off, short-changed somehow.
Getting a steer, having paid for a cow
Getting the short end of the stick
Like being victim of some card trick
I mean who would buy a heater that
Got colder as you moved your chair closer?
Instead of Shortest Day it should be renamed
Shortest End of the Stick Day.
Linger not lazily upon the hot sand
venture forward that you too might see
Love and passion in ones' heart's sea,

Valentines Day is for all to experience love.
Happy Valentines Day to all!
Form:
I am huddled in a corner
Waiting for you to speak
Waiting for you to love me
Waiting for you to accept me
Waiting for the day when you will know
All there is to know
One day you’ll know
How my memories of you
Are ones torn with torment filled words
I craved for you to accept me as I am
And not to break me to become who you want me to be
One day you’ll know
How I longed for my memories of you
To be filled with laughter and shouts of joy
There was always something else more important
Joy and laughter are not priorities you said
One day you’ll know
You didn’t have to be correct all the time
I didn’t want you to be perfect
I just wanted you to be there
For me as I have been for you
One day you’ll know
More wrong words have never been spoken
When you told me to live my life
As how others wanted to see me
As to how others thought of me
One day you’ll know
That the most important standards are your own
And others will always have something to say
Nobody is perfect
We can only let our own experiences be our teachers
One day you’ll know,
Innocence robbed can never be restored
Caught deep in your misery
You’ll crave for memories of joy
For moments when “we” mattered more than “I”
One day you’ll know
You’ll realize that too many moments have slipped by
So much time lost
So much distance has come in between
So many walls have been built
But one day you’ll know
Moments passed are moments gone
Wounds may heal but scars will remain
And scars of yesterday
Will always be memories tomorrow
One day you’ll crave for the chance to tell me
That you do love me
That you won’t change who I am
That you will take me as I am
That we have so much to talk about
Where will I be, when you know?
One day I will see a sunrise
One day I will see blue skies
One day I will see the ground
One day I shall be found
One day I shall not be lost
One day I’ll stand and walk
One day I will learn to talk
One day I will hear God say
One day it will not be this way
One day mankind will see
One day we can be free
One day we will change the game
One day we won’t be so lame
One day no more false scheme
One day a kindness dream
One day, it best be soon
One day we’ll run out of room
One day we won’t chase the lie
One day we’ll forget how to cry
One day a helping hand
One day we become a man
One day we’ll get up and stand
One day we will see,” one day, oh one day”
Form:
My spirit seems to be weeping, I know not why.
Weakness draws me down at the end of the day.
I fear the drudgery of day to day and week to year.
My mind cluttered with thoughts from the past.
Will this illness continue or quickly pass.
Is it an illness of the body or the mind that I feel?
It is the age of life that weakens me each minute.
Is it the foreign objects that I digest to blame?
I pledge each new day to feel more alive than before.
I have obligations to others, ideas to share, learning.
Where should my destiny take me upon the New Year?
I fear not death; it is either the end or a new beginning.
My worries and fortitudes shall end, upon my passing.
That is why I fear not death only the means of my demise.
Departure from the anguish and happiness I have endured.
Shall never be shadowed by deaths end or new beginning,
Departure or should it be a new adventure upon a rise,
I have little control of when, only maybe the way I will die.
For sure, no one may escape this option, this I know.
That is why, I know fear, will not be the way I go.
Looking for inspiration, I followed the contest link at poetry soup, It took 1 minute for the
words to flow to which I had no idea
exactly where it would end up or even what the title would be.
I just allowed my feelings to flow outward and the above is the result.
I think about that prophecy
And what it may mean
For you and for me.
Do I change my life;
Become someone else;
Live in fear, to avoid future strife.
Do I continue as I am;
Respecting myself;
Respecting my fellow man.
2012 is a dire date
Predicting the end is soon;
How does this play with my fate.
When I consider that my end
May come tomorrow or today;
I wonder, will my death offend.
Should I become then different,
Believing two years are left;
Knowing that is what’s meant.
Each man must decide
How he believes within;
And what he holds inside.
And we know not when
Our time will come;
Let us not hide or pretend.
For each day provides
A promise of renewal;
A new beginning for our lives.
I think about that prophecy,
And what it may mean,
And this is what I see:
Live each day as though it were your last;
For in the end, we know not how the die is cast.
