The Land of IF a song

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

[Soft Sultry female vocals]

[verse]

In the land of "If" somewhere this side of forgotten dreams
the world is very foggy and nothing is as it seems

There are no deadlines or plans
things just happen as they may

No new commitments made
nothing beyond today

The land of If is living in the moment
without working for your dreams

(nothing is as it seems)

[break]

[beat switch]
[bass drop]

Your dreams are somehow forgotten
among everyday ordinary things

And you have no firm goals
beyond the few day to day cares

You are in stasis
The daily grind seems to wear

Cause the land of if,
is for you to fill with your dreams
you only need to remember them
and put plans down to earn

(dreams, bucket list)

(plans to earn)

(check)

[break]

[beat switch]
[bass drop]

(nothing is as it seems)

[break]

For anything you can think of is possible too,
though the dates an times an persons may change

as things go along they are skewed.

(things can feel screwed)

[break]

But the intent it to reach nirvana
the things that will bring you to bliss
and to not live a life wondering what you did miss

[musical interlude]

Money, fame, power, unconditional love
are all available to anyone and are not a mystery above

We can get what we dream of
if we only make a plan. (make a plan)
And work it every day,
and on your principals
make a stand

(Make a stand in your home base)
(principals determine if the rest was just a waste)

[break]

[beat switch]
[bass drop]

So make your land of "IF"
a realization of your dreams
and life will never be the same again I promise you,

its as easy as it seems

(Gotta have your dreams!)

[break]
[Instrumental]

to make life worth living

you have to open that door

and dig down deep into your core

and if you realize that part of you

you will never want for more

[lyrics fade]

its the door

its the door

If

If

If

If

it will make a diff

If

[End]

Trapped In a Sinful Body - 2002, Edited For Personal Growth

They still won't admit they fall short
They go on kidding themselves the truth
They go mad trying to be the perfect one
They are conspirators, who have too many times won.
They are artificial leaders who eventually get caught
They are trapped in the sinful body that drives them mad
They waste their time trying to be perfect, but they're always "sinning"!
They are forever being self-destructive; never winning
They can always do one thing, though - outnumber goodness to evil.
They will then be more Godly than anything
They yet still have on their minds, brainwashed by dogma, I am trapped in a sinful body.

The Portrait of a Lifetime

Trace an outline
blending shade into the gaps between
the teeth chewing on age-old leather
hungry for more

The empty spaces highlight
the contrast in a wrinkle

Pieces of skin burnt
hanging off the brow
disintegrate
dripping as if wet paint melting
beading like sweat or blood at the corner of the mouth
sticking the tongue out to taste

Repeated scratches make dark circles
puddling under the short lashes of the lower lid sagging

Where the abstract eye smiles
the drooping jaw cries
as dead hair grows in patches of cactus and thistle
A disturbing image of shedding in an arid landscape

The rebirth that only death can bring
Tears like rain water the seed

While running from the spectre of day
painted faces claim to see shimmers in shadows
yet refuse to turn and look to check
what's really there

Seeing color beneath the cracks of paint chipping on the canvas
like a hidden door in the wall
or a book bound collecting dust
until that that moment when opened
for the first time in ages
taking a step inside the storyline
coming back to life

Premium Member The Sheep's Personal Growth

There the sheep is in the field
fully concentrated on it's task
head down eating it's green grass
growing up what else could one ask

This is what a sheep's supposed to do
so by it it'll grow large and strong
then it's owner will gain a good price
when selling it at market before too long

This is similar to a Christian's task
eating God's word so they will grow
being nourished and fed in their soul
little by little no matter how slow

Then God will receive no earthly price
but pleasure and glory to His name
for He loves to see those walk in truth
who confess His name and burn His flame

So eat like the sheep
keep feeding your soul
make your personal growth
your life time goal

AUTHOR NOTES:
just a few thoughts watching sheep eating grass the other day and seeing
connection between the sheep and God's believers.

Premium Member My Words My Life

My words My Life.
.
My words are are not superficial
Or mere contrite
But my deepest thoughts and heart felt feelings
My mistress my love my life
.
Compelled to release both my joy and fustations
My conviction and therapy disclosing
Who I am my earnest desires and the man I be
From the overflowing colourful fountain of my heart
That liberates my soul with enthusiasm and avid passion
Otherwise my world surely fall apart
.
Fired and I spired by experience and wisdom
Through my humble words I hope to impart
Something to inspire others they can relate to
Be of value and ultimately with love and good will
Touch others receptive heart
When the world gets too much
And their worlds fall apart
.
My words are always truthful
For I can never fabricate a lie
They remain my legacy to whoever
Long after I have expired and died
.
Through writing be it good or bad
I hope to find and understand myself
And grow in wisdom and spirituality
Whatever the reader thinks of my words
I bared my soul and this
Is me.

Personal Growth In Constant Continuum Until Finished

every detective tells me differently the same
every respective elder tells me the same differently
who should i believe but Him who is Mistake Free

investigating the prints of my life with an earthling opinionated but oblivious
reestimating the dints of each period unfinished and so brief and unrecognizable
not realizing the propaganda that printed is actually so dreadfully fragmented

another lifetime ago i asked a reader in whose arms shall i die in
now more deeply in growth i choose life because life tastes like a properly made cookie shake
the Magnifying Glass embraces the Hourglass and perfectly matches my Ebb and Flow for Clearer Vision

Premium Member Seeds of Greatness

Magical, mysterious, completely incomprehensible!
Is there anything more divine than a seed,
Any seed, large or small, any size at all?

Infused within its compact evolving time capsule
Is written all the instructions for the development
Of every form of life: human, animal, plant.

Every line of DNA delineates the perfect sequential
Unfoldment of beauty, symmetry, form and style.
The physical matrix is generated to match the
Spiritual etherical pattern from which it springs.

Within each of us lies the seeds of greatness
Planted there by an Unseen Hand of Grace,
Meticulously designed to bring forth uniqueness
Offering to the world the Creator’s Thought, perfect and artful.

Yet, taken for granted, we are dull to the magnificence
Of the built-in resources which lie inside each of us,
Oblivious to the power of our Divine connection with our Source.

But, at the perfect designated timing, at the ripened season,
We spring forth to shower our beauty onto the world,
Blessing humankind, acknowledging and praising the Divine.

Never again doubt your greatness. Your perfection is assured.
It is structured in your DNA. Your spirit holds the Divine pattern,
And every resource necessary for its unfoldment.

You are the seed of the next generation, of the next millennium,
Of the next universe unfolding over time and experience.
Turn your mind away from smallness. Your darkness is a lie,
meant to trap you inside a seething hell of illusion.

Reach into your Holy self, shining God outward
Upon the world and humankind.
You have seeds of greatness within you
to change, expand, evolve, improve
Everything you can imagine, touch and see.

Live with intention born of your personal Divine spark of life,
Creating your personal heaven right where you stand.
Guided by Divine inspiration, your life can be all God meant it to be.

Premium Member Running Through Life

I’m not running from my life
I just need this moment to think
In these moments, in this open space…get a firm grip
So many challenges, so many heartbreaks
The obstacles … the major dips
But I know I must keep moving on
There’s much life to be lived.
Past tears could create new oceans
This awesome power lies with me.

Personal Growth

Now, life is looking good to me.
The world is sunny and bright.
My thoughts are centered, strong and deep
and everything seems right.

In my past, I met with depression.
In my past, I battled with fear.
Now, they’re all gone, as a child’s bad dream
and everything seems clear.

I must take the blame for my actions.
I must stand up for what seems right.
Now, as I stand on the plateau I call reason,
I know, for a life, this life, I must fight.

Let Go

My pain doesn’t decorate me like precious gems
It’s a raggedy noose around my neck
That I can’t stop tugging

My scars aren’t displayed as badges of honour
They’re fetid rotted wounds
That I won’t stop picking at

My experiences weren’t lessons for growth
They’re barbs of poisonous shame
That I flagellate myself with daily

Mistakenly I thought that I’d let go
Confused, yet I thought I’d grown and improved
Tender thoughts and hands to myself I must use

Recognizing Your Own Personal Growth Through Your Writing

I thought my words were stars, unshaken,
But they were only lamps in mist—
Too bright with pride, too quick to waken,
Too eager for a fleeting tryst.

Now softer rhythms touch the page,
They move like rivers, slow and deep,
A gentleness comes with quiet age,
And truth no longer stirs from sleep.

The vanity of sounding grand
Has slipped like ash between my hands,
I lean instead on earth and sky,
And write the way the roses die.

If I have grown, it is by loss—
By setting down the crown, the gloss,
Until my words are bare, yet whole,
Like light that falls and heals the soul.

In the Shadow of the Chalkboard

In halls where silence speaks louder than words,
I stand, a beacon amidst the unseen.
Their gazes, sharp as unspoken swords,
Pierce through the facade, where I've always been.

Once, my voice resonated with pride,
Now, it's drowned by murmurs and disdain.
Yet, I endure, with dignity as my guide,
In a place where respect is hard to attain.

But within me, a fire continues to burn,
For teaching is more than a mere profession.
It's a calling, a passion that will return,
To a realm where my worth is not in question.

So, I'll rise above the shadows they've cast,
Seeking a future where my spirit is free.
For in the end, it's not about the past,
But the legacy of the teacher I choose to be.

Personal Growth In the Extra Soft Pillow of Her Love

so wonderful
you swept me off of my feet
my heels are bleeding,
but the weight is lifted
you take my feet between your warm, reassuring hands,
and make them immediately better
you clean them
you dry them
you massage them
you pray for me
your tears merge with my tears
the most beautiful river is created and so easily it flows
so beautiful
you helped me get my appetite back
now i can fully and properly eat
you kiss me softly
you whisper 'i love you' in my ear so therapeutically
i immediately feel better Being Better.....
Now I Must Return The Favor.....

as we metamorphose

two points of a straight line
birth and death needing a kiss
         after plunging depths
dissolved scars, rock burns
drawings in mud or deserts
falling through dream arcs
                        crossing grids
ferocious or mundane —

the line between life’s breath
and cremated dust mutates
neutered circle wise
a revolution, all of life’s charms
arose then passed
                                pop goes weasel !

how to metamorphose is choice
as cave shadowed is lit

Heart glorious rest ——

cares not that holy scripts are opaqued
misinterpreted or
pencil coloured rewrit
knew caterpillars are programmed to fly
babes destined to crawl, toddle, skip
        somersault into tigers or
        ascend as eagles from eggs
cracked, purified

ignorance limped before experience
patterns faded, disintegrated
or turned pages no more
                                         sigils torn
as Spirit whispering lacy touched
quivering strings
thunder throating
our slumber shakes summoned
leaps of faith sweetly om om Oommm —-

lightning peeled
every covering
quilts discarded
wounds or weeping curled
feathers float luminous
                     settle at a nest

wide Love for all and ONE

                      undressed forever

Kinswoman

I came to know a kinswoman recently.
Someone who spoke my words and used my tongue,
who saw my heart and called it her own.

We shared our deepest pains and ugliest thoughts.
We told no lies and spread out all our truths.
We wailed, we screamed, we swore, we wept and we never turned away.

She had been there, done that, said yes too many times, no never enough,
stayed when she should have run and left when she should have stayed.
She yearned for more when she had plenty and given up when she’d almost won.

She was wrong and she was right, she knew nothing and she knew enough.
She questioned herself and turned in to the dark.
She saw the light but didn’t believe it’s glow.
She let herself be played when she forgot the rules of the game.
She put her love in all the wrong places, not giving it to herself first.
She expected more but often settled for less.
She learned her lessons the hard way and often repeated mistakes.

I came to know a kinswoman recently and she is my greatest strength.
