Jewels of Africa

Jewels of Africa.

The saffron Queen spins the lilac sky,
her rays flick crimson cinders into Royal Blue Oceans.
Submerge, sizzle, frizzle...going, going, gone! ...But Not.
Cumulus clouds drizzle pepper fog over pink Flamingos, homeward bound.

Tea-green Botswana bush,
teeny, tiny Hummingbirds hover over brink-pink Balsams,
feast on elixir of nectar.
Royal Albatross rides the last whip of wind.
Sulking Stork swoops through veiled mists above marshy meadow ponds.

Sword sunbeams lash chrome, coppery twilight.
Mooned dusks, a violet cape cloaks bathing blooms.
Nightscape sky sparks, preparing morning’s thin blue...aurora hue.
Camouflaged branches stretch, tickle studded clouds
as ribboned roots cling to crevice homes.

A spook- silver ring appears from nowhere, pearling ripples aluminium.
Beams spill across the sea like lines of glittering fire.
Ethiopian wolves howl composed solos,
phantom echoes shudder Tarantula’s lair
as Flax Lily spurts scent...Frankincense and Lime.

Sultry Savannah’s secrets passed on by rhythmic lip-smacking Baboons,
cracking jokes in the knitted canopy,
teasing and tickling clowning Hyena’s below as
a blinkered platoon of Jet Wood Ants march to their Majesty.

Dawn draws indigo voiles over Nephthys, Goddess of Night
slashes of Sunrise surge shadows as the Bush Lark spangles jewels in the air.
The Alize wind dies in respect to heavenly panorama...
Mountains reflected, seen to be varnished into still, smalt-blue sea.

 Part 3

9th Delerium: Emptyness
Water wheels in wastelands... turning,
drowning relics in the slum
Rumpled rags of fashioned burlap... burning,
lit by bandits blind and dumb
Pastured prisons, ponies bridled ... yearning,
forest fairies under thumb
Sounds inside of cauldrons coughing... churning,
blaring bugles, tattooed drum

10th Delirium: Alienation
Rain unravelling, wistfully weeping... falling,
treacle trickling, fickle sky
Mushrooms sprinkled, visions sprouting... sprawling,
seagulls drowning, dolphins die
Rabble gasping, spirits broken... crawling,
lonely lonesome swallows cry
Babbling brooks and breakers ebbing... bawling
puppies paddle, puppets sigh
People passing ripple past me... calling,
rainbow colours, collars high
Chaos seething, lepers looting... stalling,
stealing stallions on the sly
Pencils pausing, scholars scrambling... scrawling,
scratching scribbles, asking why

11th Delirium: Jetsam
Silver sails sway pallid pirates... prowling,
Jolly Rogers, wind and sound
Parrots perching, tattered feathers... fouling,
tethered talons, tied and bound
Shipwrecked foghorns, trumpets stranded... howling,
spiral springs of time unwound
Magic moonlight, shimmers shaking... scowling,
burnt out matchsticks washed aground
Prairie wolfs, coyotes calling... yowling,
witching hours, midnight hounds
Tightrope walkers, grizzlies grunting... growling,
seeking islands, lost and found

12th Delirium: Relief
Slumber shattered, vapours captive... haunting,
chained in mirrors, breaking free
Scarlet skylines, daylight dawning... daunting,
rivers rushing to the sea
Silence softens, sandmen whisper... wanting,
piercing rafters, turning keys
Shadows shudder, notions fluster... flaunting,
moonbeam bullets meant for me
Mind in migraine, meadows trembling... taunting,
sparrows speak in harmony

REAWAKENING

Pitter patter, teardrops paling... pearling,
salting scarves in secret drawers
Mist amongst us, smoke rings rising... curling,
climbing from the ocean floors
See-saw circles, senses swerving... swirling,
swept away with silver oars
Courtyard jesters, sceptres twisting... twirling,
push the past to foreign shores
Passing pangs of passions heaving... hurling,
burning bridges, closing doors
Roses wither, icons waning... whirling,
time decays and time restores

My Heart

My heart is like a swollen stream,
a current strong and swift,
beside which banks the mountain giants
their rugged forms uplift.
My heart is like a wilderness,
a darkening wood, a desert sand,
a tempest on a heaving sea,
a blizzard in a frozen land.
My heart is like the deep of night,
the pearling of a dawn in May,
a quiet pool, the winsome strain
a song bird sings at break of day.
My heart is like volcano fire,
seething terror at the core,
an open mouth, a vast desire
forever hungry, craving more.
My heart is like a gentle rain,
the greening of a field in spring,
a sighing breeze through tender leaves,
a butterfly on glistening wing.
My heart is like a somber dirge
in sorrow's lonely, minor key,
a gripping ache, a widening void,
a vacillating mystery.

How shall I ever meet myself,
elusive stranger, face to face,
when I must search a universe
where each thought holds a hiding place?

The Blood of Martyrs

The Blood of Martyrs

“He stood aloof the ***** youth
What of his future?”
Peter Abrahams

When the guns thunder
In Cameroon or Côte-d’Ivoire
In Mali or Burkina Faso
Limitless martyrs
Disappear!

Beads of blood still pearling
Running from the martyrs’ hot bodies
I vainly ask to know:
Why are the ill-stricken dictators so greedy
And their peoples so eloquently silent?
Gabon- Togo-Cameroon- Tunisia- Egypt-
Zimbabwe-Burkina Faso

What is going on?
What of our time? What of man?
Nothing but words.
Words of those who see with
Somebody’s eye
Or
Those who have gained
Nothing of their heritage
If not Samory’s puzzle.

Meanwhile
The spring keeps growing
Swallowing creeds to bear greeds
In spite of Ebola and the wars
In spite of Aids killing thousands of people
In spite of the minority who with the help
Of the majority eat from the fruit
Of the majority’s vote
In spite of growing desert….

Sun-Block

SUN-BLOCK

Your sunset-sanctioned skin ignite melody to boredom world
Your gently pearling smile charm the attention of morning sun.
Your charmed souls burn in nuclear passion
To absorb the bombardment of your ink
You are the unsolved mystery of existence

                By pd
The sunrises 10 feet off the ground
This place carried the eternal light I need for my soul to soar.
Like the clouds every poet brush away my blues with one simple smile
Writing ignited my heartbeat to flicker like a candlewick non-stop.
I hold that piece of puzzle that makes my existence complete

Elegantly you walk, Venus-like
Printing glory-of-gods on excited earth
Holding hostage your admirers' eyes
With your Gabriel-censored attire
You are truly the mystery of existence

               By pd
My eyes I keep holding on tight.
Gathering dangerous looks, from every poets eyes.
Striking like a speed of thunder bolt,
I fell weak like an addict to my admires streak of rays'
I'm the piece of puzzle that makes my own existence complete

Oh beautiful empress of poetry soup.
Wake thy muse and shake off the dust of block
Your fans are in inferno hunger of your welded words
Feed us again, your poetic meal that somersault the arrows of critic
For you are the unsolved mystery of existence

                 By pd
A great source to gather the best light here on the soup.
I found my heart beating like a rush~ spontaneous
Imaging every poem that helps me get lost in the moment
I wrote against and among the best to be like the rest
For I'm that unsolved piece of puzzle that makes my existence complete

You are kinder than nature, more hospitable than mother earth
Man and woman scramble for shelter in your cheerful hearts
For your contest, all thoughts erect pines of words
With rush of the sea storm
P.D. (( Linda )) is the unsolved mystery of existence

                   By pd
Losing myself to reality, this is not like me to fall into deep.
Times maybe hard, not even a simple song to poet my mind.
The truth is, the sun has blinded me with love, and I have no SUN-BLOCK
Until my instincts tells me otherwise, I will find my way back to all my fans * true or not
I (IRMA~LINDA) am responsible for the happiness of my mysterious existence.

Back To My Origin

The nagging thoughts of my sleeping heroes haunt a chamber of my hearts
Weary of guilty mind, I decided to appease the heads of our string
Like a prodigal I walked as stormy cloud envelop the tranquil path
Totem of my clan stood proudly, gazing me their repented offspring

I kneel before a head stone as solemn tune toll from mystical instruments
My tear drop touched the sympathetic hearts of the late
Gently pearling breeze signaled their invisible present
I felt their caressing touch as my heart pulsates

I am guilty oh fathers of the greats
For I was lost in modernity-age of excessive pleasure
Accept my plea oh noble men of late
For thou hold the key of our eternal treasure

Black Pearl I and Ii

By inclement seas, malevolent sands bob
Lashing atrociously in their cyclonic hurl
Assent to winds that beat wild, Oceania!

Can the derelict heart reclaim its pacific,
keeping latent hurts as a glossed wreck?

Pearling gloss spot-lights aversions to keep!
Embraced is animus to understand its cause
Anoint scars so they'll dissipate in the anima

Restoration gleams of a copacetic dreamcatcher
Lacing over those broken veins of love's infernal

BLACK PEARL I

***
sheen like no other
iridescent mother
of pearls shining on

I recall that first black beach:
the night sky fallen at my feet!
Soles tickled by the stars
twinkling in sandy myriads;
toes curling in awed jubilation ~
followed by the jaw-dropping
cascade of a sparkling curtain,
where the sun-sequined waterfall
spilled over the black rock,
and I drank of more stars
in refreshed elation ~
The rest collected in pools
of eons-cooled lava tubes
We soaked away low tide's heat
bathed in crystalline sensations ~
Heaven!
You smiled

The Nevada desert, lifetimes later,
my son and I gazed at the black sky:
meteors showered, shimmering us ~
Heaven!

my iridescent black pearl
a sheen like no other
smiling on
***

(4/27/18: Memory of a special time with mother walking back from Buokonikai to Tabiang and stopping at the falls where I saw my first black-sand beach. It was so different and I was so thrilled by it; went back there 3 years ago and found the land erosion has turned the beach a muddy color)

Blighted Happiness

Blighted Happiness

Our love is like a withered leaf
That lies on the brink of the river
Waiting for the winds or the waves
To swiftly be scattered and driven
Or for heavy rains or pearling dust
To be abruptly abrogated forever.

Our love like a withered leaf, bleeding,
May stand firm and clasp together
Or, oh Lord! Inescapably sink
In the sea of oblivion, melting.

Such is our destiny, for tiny souls
Have no rooms where dreams dwell
We walk filled with people’s many
Dreams, desires and fires and still are
Unable to grasp the meaning of being
Together!

Love said I

he warned me about what's at steak
and his eyes have all the pearling
I am shorn of my remake
much I marvel this slack
A flame you warmed me about
the minute humilities games
 it was tame, same, aflame
You warned me about the shame
 it was same, tame, lame
 the ashamed
of fronted adoring of those kisses
that are ignoring the kissinger
came imploring love we have shall be adhering

Beseech me to grand opal views oh blessed moon
and take me to that place where pearling light
resplendent of the sea, adorns my life's festoon
With just one shake of ray from you my sight
will be as clear and peaceful as a gliding loon

Draw me to you, "Oh Mother Goddess of light"
for when it comes to praising you inside this silent room
bathed in the hour of evening dusk, within my quiet
I drink you in like opium smoke one puff and gone so soon
behind the curtains of these tired eyes, an ancient spoon

Spilled and poured like silver across the ocean blue
I breathe the breath of you as if you were the sun
for mirrored in my heart you scissor all on Holy cue
within the sacred womb of my female Deity
the fertile embrace of love and all its passion spew

Beseech me to your silica I am your precious stone
sitting by the river rolling soft against the shore
some people are made of flesh and bone
while others annihilate inside your radiant more
take me to your beauty, then raise me off the floor.
