You rule this family with an iron fist
Thriving on having your ass kissed
Without constant adoration you become pissed
There are too many items on your wanted list.

Others see you as a benevolent man
Ruling the roost, doing the best you can
I'd prefer the fire to this frying pan
Let others dote over you I'm not a fan

You sit on a throne yet you're not a king
Promise us the world and keep everything
Wanting for not on each finger a ring
You feed us the lines you want us to sing

Stronger we are becoming day by day
By leaving we'll take your power away
I guess in the end we have the last say
You sh_t your own bed now you have to stay!

Patriarchal Muslim Men

Some Muslim men believe in women's rights
In a peculiar way,
They put their gender interests first, and
find some Quranic verse to justify it.
And then their interest in the subject
grinds to a halt.
They think that women are “weaker sex”
and they must do the thinking for them.
Their supremacy is inked by dogma
perpetuating the status quo.
Bottom line, they cannot make the women's cause
their own, hampered by ideology, in permanent warfare
with equal rights.
The women's question: It does not perplex their intuition.

Premium Member History of Patriarchal Politics

While I am usually prepared to forgive historians
for their plutocratic tendencies,

We, Earth's vast rabble of anthropocentric well-wishers,
usually prefer our political leaders,
our health and motivational professionals,
our community and economic leaders,
and at least our own parents and teachers
to demonstrate more democratically generous preferences
for remembering and sharing healthy co-invested powers,
not quite so royally elitist "We know best"

More bodhisattva;
less messiah.

I, for one and all,
prepared to celebrate more cooperatively inclusive historians
with more democratically dense,
bountifully matriarchal,
mindful wealth,
including radical abundance
of co-empathic trust
in heart-felt beauty,
grace,
intrinsic dignity of democratically shared life,
and indignity of autocratic death.

May Earth's Great Transitional
publishing and marketing houses,

and "gotta win right now
to later revisit long-term democratic
historically healthy win/win thrival" parties

Reconsider
reflect on
revisit
reconnect
reweave
our deeply re-ligious history

of nondualistic
co-arising
politically curious
rambunctious
revolutionary democratizing souls
and panentheistic
WholeSum Spirit saints

usually unprepared to forgive patriarchal historians
for their plutocratic tendencies.

A world without them

A world without them- BB Baloyi

How happy could we be,
Free from the suffocating grip of patriarchal might.
Living in harmony, with hearts full of light,
Full of life- sure we won't lose
In the hands of our "protectors".

Living in a world we call home,
Where we are not objects but humans,
Where justice rolls like thunder, shaking the ground,
Where we're free, confident, and unafraid.

How happy could we be, as women,
To live for our dreams, not just to survive?
To live in the present, not fantasize about tomorrow-
A future we may not see but only imagine.

To live in a world where oppressors are held accountable.
Where speaking isn't ridiculed
And our voices aren't just loud and clear but HEARD.

How happy could we be to exist,
Not as enemies of men, but friends of life?
In a world where our happiness matters,
Regardless of the ovaries we're born with.

How happy could we be?
Not in imagination, but in this nation.
How happy could we be?...

Yet, we'll keep living, hoping
For a better world for us.
