Best Pang Poems
The curse, the lethargy,
conceived out of wedlock Dawn and Day,
the mother-in-law of the race of the Ogres,
the tub filled with toads, vipers and snakes,
the cohabitant who always stays out -
here's a partial list of the problems
that await the true princesses,
whereas a dreamless sleep is a soteriological ideal of any Buddhist.
Bent over the beautiful princess,
I feel a pang of mercy,
and, rising from my knees, get out of here -
by little Mopsey, the Princess's spaniel, which is lying on the bed,
by the hypothetical fire upon the hearth,
by the doormen in whose cups wine turned into mold long ago
and beyond,
through the wayless wood of existence,
which is not a problem for my ladylove anymore.
As Charles Perrault rightly stated:
“Thorns part before a royal blood only”.

watching the leaves
touching damp earth
I walk on, (pondering)—
how graceful they fall
so unlike me
************************************************************
feathered silence
folded in paper
tickled—
with the sound
of your laughter
************************************************************
holding the plum bowl
glass shatters
as my fingers slip
my heart
along with it
************************************************************
listening
in entomology class
I yawn….
swallowing
a mosquito
************************************************************
creased with silence
letting go
of that paper boat—
I write your name
in water

a few (ilan) of my attempts (tangka) at writing some tanka some time ago, they
probably don't even qualify as tanka? these aren't related with each other
though...
Also me just trying to see if formatting will hold this time? The other day when
I tried it, it did (even from Word) now, even from notepad, the formatting is all
aligned to the left? Lemme see center now if it stays as centered (ok, it actually
does). But aligning it to the right doesn't seem to stay though?

A Pungent Pang of Proof or Pooh
I had walked into the woods and sang my song of songs
As the autumn leaves lazily blew them lazily away,
Slowly and cautiously, I walked to the edge of the
woods as you came one day
I dreamily thought and looked savagely and vaguely for so long,
But in an instant thought I'd better not enter for I did not belong.
I instantly saw you as you shook your pensive head and heard
you say
I'd better not enter it might be too far; you might hear my footsteps stray,
If anyone may even see me, he may be much stronger than I
Fear was not or must not be one of my unknown foes which I'll deny.
From my view, where I stood still and thus saw it all,
All the lowly boughs upon the trees right near outside,
Smelling all the pungent sweet pangs it did will me to call
And tell everyone to which I had viewed and still abide.
For this is not a true tale which I have talked and walked aloof
In the woods, they lay awake and are here for nay they have no proof.
In pure happenstance, there may be a person to tell you, you’re a goof.
Any way I’m nearing the end of my fable of a tale
Can you not see the offensive smell of that elusive wail?
I thought I had seen it all, over many a year I’m still smelling
That gad awful smell, or is it a putrid smell of someone’s pooh.
Oh, oh, now you can see just how fast I can really run away from you.

Pang….no more!!
Pang….suddenly, shocks me!
This unfathomable message
I didn't expect would touch me
An emotional distress..a change
Devastatingly censures me
With horrifying like ‘an abominable substance
In my heart and soul, naked truth it insinuates
Have to act, counteract and dislike
the note like committing suicide!
Pang….this plea must please
Might dealt me to my knees
Despairing me though to the bone
I know i’m not remiss but acknowledge
Succombs me seriously extend some
Allayed fears and nuisances
That i must know without expect a mundane
Seemed doom this waterloo of
napoleon bonaparte’s.
Pang….would pity humbled me
I resolve to finally try absolve
Up to this dying moment i perceive hope
Nonetheless, more time to intercede
This hay must not go into waste
As my creator on my seemingly side
Eventually, compose myself counting on me
For the last time. Await’s a chance
to an oozing love!
Pang….these horrors i didn't know where
it came
Thus, it beacons me and drowns me
Nauseating my whole being now fragile
My military acumen enough yet fight the nemesis
Much ready to stand parry with confidence
Though my dwindling and disarrayed star
still would sense
And the battle has just begun only to win
the war sometime
At the right time. No more pangs to bear but a
sweet revenge.

Young and naive, she fell for an Aquarius,
over time he grew nasty and quite nefarious..
A little later came her next heart pang.
He was a fiery Aries man.
With time his habits she just couldn't stand.
A long-term lover and definitely the nicest
was a very sensitive and nurturing Pisces.
Our hearts collide in this universe,
sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.
Look at their planets, and study their stars.
Were they influenced by Jupiter or perhaps Mars?
Consult an astrologer, develop a plan, and look
at the stars whenever you can.

You look down and see
There are lot of people with out proper meal
On the street beg children
Thousands of people without sanitation
And you take a pang
In your mind always moves a plan
How to develop
How to uplift them
And you live nearer to them,
Just above their rung
They look up and see you
And call you all the bad names
But the crux of the fun is that
They all like to be like you middle rich man
But the opposite happens
When you look up
And see those fantastic men
Who rides the uppermost rung
With wonder you find
For you there is no sympathy
Rather they look at you frowning down

I won't let
my pang
stay
inside
my door,
I will
throw it
outside
my
doorstep.
For when
it bursts,
like lava
from a
volcano
it's hot,
it burns,
and I can't
stand
the heat.

Gazing out the window
at an angry sky
I feel a sudden pang of guilt
although I cannot tell you why
What is it about gray
that ruins a perfect day
It must be something that I did
though what I cannot say

her term was declimaxation
she decribed it as a verb for lacking interest
and heightening ones value through finacail need.
which is secret suprises
what is known has been revealed
must we continue thinking we are truest of lovers
when my want for you has lacked it's appeal.
what is love that we aren't freinds
than might you find away to
have me love you again.
when it seeks need might
the effections of than guide our
way through those
times of conflict.
love needs to be expressed
it wins in contest
it makes two feel best
causing our labors
to impress
lovers often admit being blessed
when love is stressed
it needs vacation
