Premium Member God Is Our Hope Beyond Christmas

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Titus 2:13 of the King Jame Bible

Our blessed hope radiates this Christmas and beyond gloriously…
The birth of the Saviour Jesus jubilantly
Surely bringing redemption to us compassionately
With the promise of eternal life and divine nature to experience abundantly.

Our great hope glistens with great assurance…
The sacrifice of Christ that vanquished hell’s endurance
Surely forgiving us in our confessed transgression-defiance
With the acquittal from sin’s penalty and self-righteous arrogance.

Our blissful hope shines upon biblical revelation…
The resurrection of the Lord that subdued everlasting damnation
Surely ordaining us in our believers’ royal position
With the subjugation of death’s sting and its fatal destruction.

Our steadfast hope glitters through blessed worship…
The work of the Father that exposes His leadership
Surely molding us while striving to do well by His enabling partnership
With the guidance of His wisdom and prudence for faithful stewardship.

Our triumphant hope sparkles along gratitude delight…
The goodness of God that proclaims His magnificent height
Surely upholding us in steadfastly sharing the Gospel light
With the truth of His inerrant Word and immutable covenant’s might.

Our momentous hope glows against attacking uncertainty…
The prodding of the Holy Spirit that seals His authority
Surely keeping us to stay in His will’s protective security
With the answers to fervent prayers and earnest supplications’ entreaty.

Our joyous hope brightens toward a triumphant moment…
The coming of the King that declares prophecy’s fulfillment
Surely ensuring us of precious rewards due to gracious accomplishment
With the commendation for favoured devotion and commitment.

Earth Abides

The world pauses in expectation, a waxing moon
The timepiece whose silent ticking is heard by
The worm within as it gnaws with urgent force.
Momentum of thinking is fuelled by hope,
Ordaining the path towards joy or despair;
An uncertain end pricking inner turmoil.
The world watches, but sees only an outward calm,
Not the worm’s insistent bite within. Yet;
The world smiles, the moment passes and the
Worm is stilled when hope is not yet lost.
Earth abides, and this small radish dissolves
Into introspection, becoming lost in fairy castles of hope,
Ignoring the realities of life and the ruthless
(im)probabilities of success.

Premium Member Gratefulness To God

God deserves my wholehearted gratefulness
Of praise-filled worship's gladness
For His grants of gracious bountifulness
Innumerable out of His goodness.

Basic necessities my Lord provides so well
Nourishing my health to the tiniest cell
Even food cravings I'm ashamed to tell
Including a haven of refuge I safely dwell.

Sense of belonging my Father assures
Thru loved ones who are dearest treasures
Comforting, consoling midst pressures
Around love's warmth fellowship-enclosures.

Never will I cease thanking* my Saviour Almighty
For redeeming me from sin's penalty
Securing my soul with life everlasting's certainty
Ordaining me to serve Him by faith with His power's tenacity.

THE WARRIOR

I was born into a war
I was born into a war
I Was born into this war
And I couldn’t even talk
I didn’t know how to walk
I hit the ground surviving
Heavy fire, Heavy losses
Broken will broken compass
On death ground
Death behind me
Death ahead of me
Surrounded No space to retreat
No way home
This is no way to live
Its no way to go
The enemy was within
No secrets no strategy
No manoeuvres No being clever
This is not go This is not chess
I am no Hannibal I am no Scipio
I am no Ceaser I no Napoleon
I am no general I am no emperor
I am no conqueror
I don’t make the decisions
Just obedience to violence
Mano a mano
Running low on ammo
Not a moment to breathe
Blood all over the camo
Screams and limbs flying
Bodies piling, blood is flowing
The flies are multiplying
The maggots are feasting
And its only just starting
what is certain
I will die here
I will die at the end
I don’t get to make it out ahead
I will be dead
I have not given up but I know the reaper
He’s a friend
I have seen him hugging my brothers
I have seen him show spite
I have seen him show mercy
he is the angel of destiny
Ordaining us to be saints
Or giving swords to be martyr’s
The pain is mounting
And I am out of cocaine
The medics are out of morphine
And its already too late for me
I am bleeding , badly wounded
Intestines are hanging
One arm is missing
I am being brave
But heart can only take me so far
Fighting to the end feeling woozy
I can’t hear a thing I think I am dying
I can’t just lay down and die
I can’t just lay down to die
I-can’t let them just win
I can’t just stop.

Premium Member The Journey

My thoughts are scattered
Like shattered glass...

Confusion reigns supreme
Lacking vision on what is on the horizon...

Plodding along this mapped road,
The urge to drift
Off on roads unknown is heightened...

But fear is holding me back,
should I or shouldn’t I?

The only surety is
that I'm not alone
on this journey...

My God is in control,
He is ordaining my every step…

With every step my fear
is replaced by excitement…

Because in the midst of chaos,
my life makes complete sense
and has meaning to HIM...

Rain Hell

. for public domain

We shed our blood
among thorns and thistles,
playing at war in fields and hedgerows,
fighting against imagined foes;
and when we fell in feigning death,
we always rose to draw more breath,
to rain hell on our enemy.

We shed our youth
in blood soaked trenches,
lighting up war in fields and hedgerows,
fighting against fascists and foes;
and when one fell ordaining death,
another rose to draw more breath,
to rain hell on our enemy.

We shed our lives
for our flags and countries,
disdaining war in fields and hedgerows,
plowing fertile land for corn rows;
and when we lay down to our death,
our Lord will someday restore our breath,
to shame hell, and our enemy.

Wrestling

Two people of equal weight
Strong muscles straining
Both suddenly subdued with spiteful hate
Hand and buzzer the winner ordaining

In truth the real sport
Is the judging of the referee
Here the fighters are in his court
And he moves like a boat across the sea

The fact is that he moves across the ring
Slithering and crawling
All waiting for the finial ding
Or the contestants still and sprawling

Striped shirt with logos on either sleeve
Sponsorship like the fighters in the match
Except his own body does he heave
And both rule breakers and winners does he catch

Sometimes moving on head and toes
So he can spot the smallest changes
All to see the joys and woes
And anger’s varied verbal ranges

So, put simply, this is his domain
With the expert eye of a professional chef
He goes through the most entertaining strain
Enjoy watching the ref
