Best Never Say Die Poems
Watching a movie ('Walking Tall')
I spied a cockroach on my wall,
crawling in and out of sight,
the proud homeowner's sorry plight.
Now I see him, now I don't,
a creepy feeling, and I won't
feel better till he's dead and gone,
deeming it a job well done.
The kitchen was my battleground,
I chased the bugger round and round,
('persistent' was the name I christened
my thick-skinned antagonist),
for dodging footfalls he'd survived
the era of the dinosaurs,
avoiding conflict he'd outlived
the perils of unnumbered wars.
Tired, and soaked with perspiration,
craving his elimination,
I, with magazine extended
dealt a blow, his life was ended.
Or was it? Wriggling in his death throes,
wiggling several sets of black toes,
on his back he scarce could right
himself to carry on the fight.
Yet more he fiddled, then was still,
an adversary with a will,
he lay quiescent on the rug,
that bold, defiant little bug.
I left him shaken, (his demise
beyond salvation?), then my eyes
beheld no insect, just a stain,
for he'd crept off to scare again!

I've thought about giving up. I thought life was just too hard.
Would you quit a high money game, just because you were dealt bad cards?
If you fell off a horse, would you think you were done and just start walking by it's side?
Would you cry and pout or get back up? Get on that horse and ride?
You may not succeed the first try, but there's always another chance.
In life, in sports, in playing games, and even in romance.
Practice makes perfect with everything in life. Work always comes along with it.
You may get frustrated but never give up. Champions would never quit it.
Do you think Michael Jordan just grabbed a ball and dunked it on his first try?
Or did he play again and again? Now it seems like he can fly.
Some are born with greatness. Others work and work to achieve.
You can do anything you want in life. All you have to do is believe!

Navigating every path and summiting
Every mountain; climbing peaks and
Valleys indefatigably. They don't give up, the...
Epitome of tenacity. Nothing weakens the
Resolve of ambitious go-getters!
Strong-willed and naturally driven to go
After what they put their minds to and never
Yielding to adversity. They thrive instead!
Determined to accomplish any goal, however
Infinitesimal or gigantic, easy or hard.
Endlessly never-say-die in spirit and verve!

Never say die, never give up;
as surely as you do, you’re a goner.
My late, great aunt said, “Never will I lie down and let death take me; it’ll have to catch me on my feet.”
She was true to her word; never said die;
and sure enough, it caught her on her feet one morning,
at four am after, playing cards.
She was far more stubborn than death, itself.
Like her, I stand firm; thirty eight years of entries and I still play every day though, I’ve never won; any sweepstakes, lottery, car or house yet; I’ll never stop, give in; I’ll never say die.
Instead, some day, they’ll arrive at my door and shout, “surprise!”
I hope they don’t give me a heart attack;
I’d like to enjoy my win.

Never say die or you just might believe it.
The words you ingest go straight to your chest,
and if your heart is sick you just might heave it.
Speak to your greenery in such mean terms,
and they certainly react, withering slowly on impact,
as if physically attacked.
Talk to water molecules, and microscopically watch
the astonishing effects of speaking life or death.
If you say "die," like a severing knife, they disunify,
but speak of love and kindness,
and they miraculously bind in fascinating patterns.
Likewise, you are water --- over seventy percent,
so make every intent to speak life.
Each frozen drop of rain is shaped uniquely,
fashioned in a unified design.
What words are spoken
to these snowflakes as they fall?
The Lord of all whispers words of life.
So likewise, speak of life
and thrive beside a lively creation.

Never say die or you might just believe it.
Those words you ingest go straight to your chest
and if your heart is sick, you might just heave it.
Never say die. There's a mighty reason why--
we were meant to live forever!
From the garden's sin we begin to disintegrate,
but by the pardon of Him we shant forever die.
Speak of Jesus' death while your breath is able.
Repent of your sins, for Christ has paid the price:
Nails of agony, with absolute compassion!
Despite mankind's cruel humiliating mocks,
Jesus bore lashes of love in sacrificial fashion.
Then after three days, he rises and walks!
Likewise, live again, leaving death behind.
Embrace the miraculous life you've been handed.
You came from the dust, and by trials you are sanded.
When you hurt, your High Priest can sympathize,
and when you rise, by this you'll know Him greater.
You shall forever live by the making of your Creator!
Now live with motivation, by the grace of the Lord.
Never say die, because you've been restored.

It's called, in my own terms, the end of a cycle,
Yes, pray, never say die,
Nothing dies, neither will you nor will I,
Nothing dies, it's merely the end of a cycle!
Imposed upon all of us, by those rulers
Governing us from the subtle and silent skies,
Skies reflecting a peaceful bluish hue on sunny days,
And adorned with twinkling magical dots on dark nights,
Merely to attract souls, like us, into their gloom!
Once in, we get segragated into religious affiliations
Meant to act upon their laws, their prescribed codes
As if, they were that which could save us and bring us back
To there where we once laughed, all the time, for no reason,
To there where we were, before being tempted,
By the many false pleasures of this world!
We race with life, taking what it gives us in heavy gulps,
Wanting more of these, undeniably turning greedy
Realizing not that those gifts from life are only meant
To tie us tight to the roots of this world,
As if, it maybe needed our desperation as its power surge
To keep on revolving!
Fret not, lament not, grieve not, never say they died,
Never say I shall die too, never call it death,
Say, rather, it's the end of a cycle,
And since I abide to those powers, being, after all,
A mere blinded fly when faced with them,
Vulnerable and fickle as they choose what to do with me,
Love this cyclic change, accept it and mind not
The pain that pricks its claws in you, running through each
Of your veins, scarring your heart and causing your soul to bleed!
Love it and live it, as one fully aware of its power,
Never say die, none will, nothing does
Never say die, it's merely the acceptance of existence!
