As I looked upon my Daughter Michaela it was clear to see
Two big beautiful blue eyes were looking back at me

When I got home from Prison and she was 5 days old
Speaking of holding the warm after absorbing the cold

The happiness of childhood was looking up to see
A little bundle of love that was looking inside of me

She would lie upon my chest and then she would fall out
I think safety in her daddy’s arms is what that was all about

She had a beautiful smile as well as a beautiful glow
As I looked at every tiny finger and every little toe

Then when she opened up her eyes everybody knew
“Just take a look at those blue eyes she looks just like you”

No ones knows where life may lead but I know in my heart
Made my end then started again so this baby would have a start

From the darkest night to the brightest light I can help her Soul
Perhaps in the overall scheme of things that always was my goal

I don’t think things are ever quite that easy, only thing I know
When it comes to beautiful babies, my little girl steals the show

My Mama

My mother is a beautiful woman,
She always holds her head up high,
Even when she is about to cry,
Her strength and beauty is all I see,

She always holds her head up high,
Working so hard to help us get by,
Her strength and beauty is all I see,
I can't explain what she means to me,

Working so hard to help us get by,
Even when she is about to cry,
I can't explain what she means to me,
My mother is a beautiful woman.

Mama! (Mother)

MAMA! (mother)

Mama! Mama! Mama! Mama!
Echoes the voice of relationship
A celestial bond, mortals question
Even, angels secretly want her treat
Hitler too, reminisce in sweet nostalgia for her
A gold pillar, memories immortalizes her ideals
Mama! You make our world go round.
Tested specimen of true humanity

A champion symbolizing selfless agape
Yes! Love unlimited, your craft
Your hospitality endeared angels
Kindness and virtue you rabidly uphold
Your industry, groomed limitless bowels
Integrity, you impressed on your juvenile hearts
By a gentle kiss of correction,
Pointing the pathway of honor to all
Yet! Holding firmly the rod
With the rod, we were spared from blemish

God’s ever-presence,
Yet feels, mothers represent him all where
Planting his field with love for all to eat
Love is a mother
Mama is real love
I guess up there above, he is a mother
An expert of difficult moments

By knowledge,
Many power, you empowered all with
Mama! Can all ever make it up to you?
Your depth, an ocean of love can’t hastily fill

A nation void of your touch
Has its values torched
Your breast, cascade mans wisdom
Weapons of war, dread your counsel
Your wisdom trains nation,
 Making peace bread for all
Truly, none can do what you are

Mama!
Your secret tears, grease our path
 Same nourish us as flowers
 Your agonizing prayers,
Heaven dare not despise
By your thanksgiving,
Heaven sets our stage

Mama!
I see heaven through your eyes
Yes! Am blessed to be your son

You are really worthy to be called mama.

“A beautiful dedication to all true MOTHERS ALL OVER THE WORLD.”

My Asliea

My Asliea

Though I did not carry you in my womb
Our heart beats are entwined together.
I may never be able to show you how much
Loving you has made my life so much better.

But know that when I look into your big brown eyes
I see myself there, our bond is closer than blood.
We will never need more than that to prove
The strength of the love between us.

You’re my daughter because I feel you inside my heart
You take up such a big and beautiful part of my soul.
And if my life missed your face, the lovely spirit you have
I would not and could never be truly be whole.

You and your Brother taught me how to be a mother.
I have an unconditional love for you I never could have imagined.
Nothing in this world or any other could break us apart.
I would die before leaving you un-consoled or abandoned.

I hope you can take some of my wisdom and lessons with you
And when you’re old I hope you cherish both our shared tears and laughter
Because some of my most treasured memories will always be of you Asliea.
My peaceful, loving, and beautiful first born daughter.

What the Hell Happened? (Part One)

Well, this certainly hadn't turned out as planned
the gun in her hand
cold and tasting already like blood
which is fitting for that is, after all, its purpose,
to spill blood while in her mind
she flew back in time
to when she was a little girl
the twinkle in her father's eyes
his only child it was no surprise
she was the center of the universe
with only the occassional
twinge of guilt
for her brother who was not her father's son
when he took the brunt of the betrayal
inside she gloated while he was slapped and pummeled
and she held the whole world inside her hands
a beautiful world with snow covered peaks
the people all healthy with rose colored cheeks
while war raged all around her and millions of people
as real as she
went up in smoke
while she laughed and joked
she was unaffected
safe in her world with her planets orbiting all around her
predictable and unwavering
savoring
the sweet chocolate as it melted against her tongue
while black-out curtains were hung
she was safe and warm and the future held such hope,
such a beautiful girl, how it warped her to be told and told,
she knew she would never grow old
and life would be perfect in her universe she created
in her mind,
but somehow things got twisted
when that family friend visited,
a doting uncle type, she felt the way he watched her
was only to be expected
but suddenly every thing changed
as he threw his princess down
ripped her little gown
and stole from her both her viginity
and her sanity;
innocent child never spoke
of it, never woke
from it
her nightmare buried deep as she plastered on
her model's fake smile
all the while
slipping, slipping,
this earth shattering agression
followed by repression and

My Baby, My Daughter

She is tired and covered with sweat
Was just finish doing the hardest thing she could have
Ever done in her life
Then bam! She hears a beautiful but loud scream
Coming out under her
She going crazy looking for the scream
Can’t wait to see what it is
Then finally, he says here you go m’am
The most beautiful face is smiling at her
She is overjoyed and ecstatic
She just wants to hold it there
Right next to her heart
And finally she says, “My baby, my daughter for ever will you be mine”
Then she started humming a song from Stevie Wonder
“Isn’t she lovely, isn’t she wonderful
Isn’t she precious, less than one minute old…”
She was, what can I say, Happy.
She couldn’t wait to let everybody know about the good news
About her baby, her daughter
How beautiful and precious she was
She is now the mother of a beautiful little baby girl.

Beautiful Rose

Your presence, like no other
Your smell so intense yet calming
Your petals so soft and smooth
I come to stare at your beauty
I am taken back by your red, vibrant, stunning color
Petals made up of green and life to flourish
Roots keep you grounded to nourish your wealth
You stand so strong, showing your thorns of pain
The thorns of protection, not violence
The thorns that give you the strength
To live on such a cold earth
You give blood to those who disrespect your beauty,
This ability I wish to have
I look up to your serenity yet ability to stand against those
The ones who are not worthy of your beautiful sight
There will come a day when your lovely smell will slowly diminish
Your petals will lightly shed and fall apart into ashes of veins
Your colors will start to fade
Your roots will become thin and fragile
Your strong stance will become shriveled and weak
But you will never stop being a beautiful rose,
The one I see in front of me, with such bright inner beauty

~Dedicated to my beautiful Mother, Elizabeth~

Mother

The memory keeper respectfully scribes this euology to Georgia's sweetest peach.
Over three decades ago on a warm spring day, displayed was not emotion, but the
"Mrs. American Beauty"s portrait. It ain't so until I see for myself, so I took a look.
She looked mighty fine, no need to be hidden behind what the rest of the world saw.

Now I can tell them that picture on the wall wasn't the best one of all. I remember
Better ones I no longer have. At sixteen she wore a long white dress with a dozen
Red roses and a piece of paper tied with a red ribbon. I salute the proud woman
Standing tall dressed blue. Later a mother without makeup holds me in her arms.
She holds my brother's hand as he wore a cowboy suit and hat.

The Southern Belle of the Ball is still on the wall with the brown curls cut and dyed
The dark of night. I remember rides in boats and her notes floating in the air filled
With seagulls cries and they ask why the song bird was put in a cage.

Thrice engaged she kept on ringing the wedding bells until Hell's rage killed her,
Fueling the fire into the Devil's words. Her beautiful heart was heavy with so many
Epithets. She missed her second Dad and a boy in a cowboy hat.

No more words to sing as her loving lungs collapsed, as she headed for God's
Forgiving Heaven, toe-tagged Jane Doe, nobody special. Everyone should have
Known she was June like her birth month. Beautiful inside. A warm summer night.
