I’m at a loss for words
Perhaps I need to call for help
Won’t you help me choose
Joseph S., Carol B., Tami M., Stella S.,
Mike J., Vince S., Stacy R., Lainie G.

Who, oh who should it be?

I know! I know the perfect selection
Won’t you all join with me,

Premium Member Our Poet, Mr Michael Jordan

Many a tribute is written
Only the writer knows why
The reason I'm writing this
He could have been goodbye

This Bakersfield boy
Smith Corner he graced
To lose his mother at 4
A young soul misplaced

Loving Grandparents
Filled an empty void
For the loss of a parent
Internal destroy

High School reached
Hooked on drugs
Degenerating body
Societies bug

He ended up here
And also there
To the age of 41
In hazed stare

An Angel was released
To look after her son
As he rose from his prayer
His new life begun

Then came the day
A son was reborn
In a town called Willows
The end of his storm

Another two Angels appeared
Michaela and Antoinette
His future path laid
All three, truly set

Mr Michael Jordan
I think your grand
You help your past
Now that's a stand

A leader, a gent
Poet and dude
To shake your hand
I wish i could

My tribute to a wonderful person whose life story always moved me.

Premium Member Steal the Show

As I looked upon my Daughter Michaela it was clear to see
Two big beautiful blue eyes were looking back at me

When I got home from Prison and she was 5 days old
Speaking of holding the warm after absorbing the cold

The happiness of childhood was looking up to see
A little bundle of love that was looking inside of me

She would lie upon my chest and then she would fall out
I think safety in her daddy’s arms is what that was all about

She had a beautiful smile as well as a beautiful glow
As I looked at every tiny finger and every little toe

Then when she opened up her eyes everybody knew
“Just take a look at those blue eyes she looks just like you”

No ones knows where life may lead but I know in my heart
Made my end then started again so this baby would have a start

From the darkest night to the brightest light I can help her Soul
Perhaps in the overall scheme of things that always was my goal

I don’t think things are ever quite that easy, only thing I know
When it comes to beautiful babies, my little girl steals the show

Premium Member You'Re It

I have recently come to know
A special lady who reminds me of myself.

For sixty plus years ago in school
It seems I did not fit in
There was the I'm better than you group
And then there was me.
It was there and then I decided
I'd not worry about the crowd
I was going to what I thought best
And chose to be myself.

If they wanted to act superior
I'd not stand in their way
If pleasing boys was their goal
I'd not their babies raise.
I'd do my thing and be satisfied
That I did it the best I could
And if they didn't like it
More power to me I said.

In l956 and 7 I took a teaching job
And one little girl so shy and timid
Stood out from the rest.
I tried to instill in them self worth
As well as books of knowledge
For you see I hoped one day
They would go off to college

Forty-eight years later the year 2005
I managed to contact her
So glad she was alive.
When she my letter did reply
I got quite a shock
These are the lines she did write
Mrs. Beer do you remember
How shy and timid I was
Well, when you left school that year
I never was shy again

This concerned me for I wondered
Was it good or bad
Then a friend told me
Of the wonderful life she had
So maybe I did do al right
And when we chanced to meet
She was a sweet self confident lady
So unlike that little girl I knew

Why did I write this down
The reason you see
Michaela, I have tagged you
You remind me of me.

Premium Member Rise Up To the Son

I was walking in the sunshine
With nothing on my mind
Searching through the memories
Trying real hard to find
To find that certain memory
Buried underneath the dust
Then I heard myself say
"In you lord I trust"
I felt a certain comfort
I had never felt before
As I became in tune
With what it is all for
Each new day is a journey
Waiting to become a memory
Through our lives they come and go
Like building blocks you see
We start at the bottom
Then build our way up
If it was never empty
No need to fill the cup
Once the cup is full
The building is all done
We fulfill our destiny
And rise up to the Son

Written for my friend
Michaela Payne who
is such a blessing to
me - I have learned
in life what matters
way more than who
we are is where we
strive to go

Game On

In snooker there is but one rule
To play your best at the crucible
Professionals play under extreme pressure
For the crowds joy and immense pleasure

Fifteen reds set up on the table
Potting away at different angles
Six different colours to add to the score
A 147 break and the crowd just roars

The talent so hot, competition is fierce
These geniuses play without any fears
The crowds are gathering to take their seats
To watch the rocket increase his lead

Ronnie stoops down to take his shot
Suddenly a noise in the crowd, oh' he’s shocked
Michaela raises her voice, calm down please
To late the distraction unsettles his ease

In an effort to continue he chalks his cue
Playing for green, his minds on blue
He strikes the white and hits the green
But it rattles in pocket, he's caused a scene

He knows he’s missed even before the shot
His concentration gone, another frame lost
Due to start a another frame now
Selby to break, the crowd crying out

Commentary throughout has been superb
The skill of these players we've observed
An absolute brilliant entertaining game
especially that last twist in the final frame

(Oh' Wait a minute, I think we've been snookered!)

Loves Sensual Caress

To hold you close, to have you near,
to have my breath, against your ear.
Whispering the words I long to say,
to show you my passion, in that special way.

The loving, the kissing would feel so right,
expressing our love, right through the night.
Our bodies come together in pure ecstasy,
Kissing and moaning, You become part of me.

Reaching that point there is no turning back,
our bodies explode together with love.
Now, cuddling and laughing, we've done it all,
I look up and smile, Oh! It's you I love.

 I Love you, Michaela Dean

Premium Member Living & Giving

Another blessing on another day
Just another chance to pray

Pray for what, “Well lets see”
Everything the Lord does for me

Not to mention what he does for my wife
Praise be to God what a wonderful life

Facing life on its own terms
Was a lesson we had to learn

Had to learn to say “no’ to the high
Stay on the ground and reach the sky

Whatever we need we get for free
Lord looking out for us you see

Wanted some plants to landscape the yard
Lady said no its all-free put up your card

I’ll even come by and offer my advice
Heard from Brian you folk are really nice

Then I’ll bring the rest of the plants for free
Need help planting count on my family and me

Spiritual Enlightenment is all I can say
Living and giving is the only right way

Never pushing our forcing advice
Let our actions be our words of life

Living by example with no words said
Come on in lets break us some bread

Day started off in so much pain
Getting out of bed seemed in vein

But as I end this poem all I can say
What a wonderfully beautiful special day

Another day the Lord filled our need
Man I love the joy of spreading seed

For each seed planted ten more sprout
We use what we need and give the rest out

Which in turn brings so many more
Living and giving is what life is for

Honesty and Devotion

A gentle word like a spark of light,
 Illuminates my soul
And as each sound goes deeper,
It's YOU that makes me whole

There is no corner, no dark place,
 YOUR LOVE cannot fill
And if the world starts causing waves,
It's your devotion that makes them still

And yes you always speak to me,
 In sweet honesty and truth
Your caring heart keeps out the rain,
 YOUR LOVE, the ultimate roof

So thank you my Love for being there,
 For supporting me, my life
I'll do the same for you, you know,
 My Beautiful, Darling Fiance.

To my loving Fiance, Michaela Dean

Happy Birthday Antoinette

Story books have got it wrong
Step mothers are the greatest gifts of all

Antoinette you are a blessing on my family’s life
I am so happy you are my father’s wife

Michaela is the sweetest girl, glad she’s my sis
You’re my family I truly miss

God truly blessed us when he brought you around
Hope your birthday is full of love, laughter, and songs

Because you gave me the greatest gift of all
It is because of you I have my father back

You are our cornerstone the brick that keeps us up
Thank you for all of your unconditional love

Happy birthday to my mother, friend
My angel sent from God above

May you know you are truly loved

How Do I Get There

Isolated, closed door, evil stare...
Trying to get out.
How do I get there?

Uncertainty, disgusted, let down in compressed air...
Trying to make sense of it.
How do I get there?

Faithful friends, truthful in what they share...
Trying to absorb their words.
How do I get there?

Pre-trial, revealing devastating news, life seems so unfair...
Trying to stay afloat.
How do I get there?

Bad news confirmed, court room again, filled with lies in thin air...
Trying to keep my babies and myself safe.
How do I get there?

I keep asking; HOW IS LIFE FAIR? HOW IS LIFE FAIR?
Trying to quench and hold onto the Lord's Prayer...
How do I get there?

Alone, depressed, in despair...
Trying for their sake to just be there.
How do I get there?

Faith, counseling, oh how I'm in need of prayer.
Trying not to be hurt.
How do I get there?

Final hearing, I feel let down again...
Trying to get my life back.
How do I get there?

Compassionate new friends, 6 day trip, eager to share...
Trying to heal my heart and wounds.
How do I get there?

New freedom, feeling alive, silly online questionnaire...
Trying to do something fun to find myself again.
How do I get there?

Interesting biography, cute smile, do I take the dare?
Trying to move forward.
How do I get there?

Feeling unattractive, awkward, and out of place, what do I wear?
Trying to stay positive.
How do I get there?

Unwilling to commit, afraid and in disrepair...
Trying to guard my heart.
How do I get there?

Encouraging and empathetic, to my surprise, he has tender loving care...
Trying to remain hopeful and joyous.
How do I get there?

God has sent me an angel, but still, I get that evil stare...
Trying to understand the feelings of my children.
How do I get there?

Everything happens for a reason, even when it seems unfair...
Trying to live up to His expectations.
How do I get there?

My Sweet Savior

I felt so rejected, alone and sad
like an abandoned puppy left to wander a street
it was then that I realized, that my life was real bad
so I disowned every challenge I happened to meet

I just gave up on trying to make others happy
so I fell in a hole that was too deep to climb
I sure didn't care if others felt crappy
people got on my nerves for such a long time

'til that day I saw someone who changed my ways
it was someone who I knew and liked so much
but the way that I felt when my eyes met her gaze
I forgot all my troubles, my sorrows and such

she helped pull me out of that hellish, dark hole
I got all my thoughts back on track and my heart set in place
she filled up this feeling, one that never felt full
she got rid of my hatred, which I’ll never re-trace

it was then that I noticed, how my life would get better
she became my sweet savior, a gift from above
my life would be nothing, had I never met her
I’m glad that I have someone now that I love.

Dedicated to my Sweet Michaela, who shattered the darkness around me.

How does one pick a single soul in a field of Flowers?
God would find it rather hard with all of his powers

There are so many beautiful people as we all know
I’m finding it rather impossible to pick a single soul

Even as I pen this one is coming clearly to my mind
Michaela is a very rare gift that is impossible to find

She is like a spiritual daughter that blesses my heart
She has been a very special friend right from the start

Her and my daughter Michaela share the same name
I have chosen my very dear friend, Miss Michaela Payne

When we first met on the site each of us was fairly new
She was the essence of the word “pure” through and through

Michaela is so pure of heart and she is so pure of soul
Beaming with a beautiful innocence so few ever know

It was really hard at first because these words are true
I thought, “Someone like her doesn’t need to know you”

Sometimes in life the Lord brings together two souls
As they each help each other understand their goals

Through her friendship I was eventually able to see
That there was still some good left up inside of me

I truly doubt that Michaela could ever begin to know
Beautiful blessing she has been up inside of my soul

She knows that if ever she needs it I have a real good ear
As I know my knowledge is something that she holds dear

She knows what ever the subject I can offer sound advice
For I haven’t just seen it all, I have seen most of it twice

Never know how good it feels for a tired old convict like me
To help someone as beautifully innocent as a person can be

I reckon that leaves this old man with just one last thing to say
I hope my Michaela grows to be just like her some beautiful day

This Poem is written for Christie's contest and i must
say I found it so very hard to choose just one person
to write about because I have truly been blessed by
many wonderful friends on this site. God Bless you all

Premium Member My Flying Mustang

Along time ago just the other day
I saw a magic horse who flew my way
Well all in all jackpot in hand
It flew me off to a distant land
A place where the Land meets the Sea
We landed there this horse and me
Somethings in life should not go to waste
Such was the beauty of this special place
Secluded and surrounded by sheer rock walls
With an abundance of beautiful waterfalls
Creating rainbows that filled the skies
Oh, This place was beautiful to the eyes
As I looked all around at the giant ferns
Into my heart this place did burn
While listening to the beat of the sea
We had a picnic this horse and me
Then down the beach we took us a walk
And without a word we had us a talk
Life is full of many wonderful things
Like my flying Mustang with golden wings
