Best Luis Poems
In memory: Luis Alvarez, American Hero
Thank you for working on
the smoking ruins of 9/11!
Those days when we were
more than proud to be a
free country.
Yes, we worked together ever
so proudly, as a family.
Thank you for going to the Senate on June 11th!
Sick as you could be
Begging for money for two-
hundred sixty-two people still ill.
America has forgotten 9/11, with impunity.
We still have not learned our history
lesson.
You truly were so ill, but never
lost your compassion.
Till your very last moment, you
were a man of action!
For God, for us all, in this
great American nation.
It's people like you, who make
the Fourth,
A reason for a great and gratitude-filled,
momentous celebration
With profound respect and gratitude,

If milk could kill
We would all be dead
But Luis Pasteur
Hit the nail on the head:
"Witchcraft may kill
By subtle disguise
But I have the cure:
Its just passed your eyes!"
It was hot and arid in the desert
No wind, no breeze, not a breath
And Pedro and Luis were lost
And so very close to death.
As they crawled across the sand
As though trapped in still air
The smell of bacon frying
Seemed to hang around them there.
Slightly ahead of his mate
Pedro crested a dune to see
Loads of Bacon Butties
Hanging on a bacon buttie tree.
Turning painfully around
He said through rasping breath
The Good Lord, he said, has
Saved us from almost certain death
Crawling painfully forward
Eager for a life saving taste,
Yards away from safety when
All his effort went to waste.
A machine gun opened fire
Sending him close to his death.
He tried to warn his friend
With his very last breath:
Luis crawl away from here,
Crawl away man, in a rush,
Eese not a bacon buttie tree
Eese a deadly Ham Bush!!!!!!!
If i shut my eyes and refuse to move
If i fold my hands and refuse to write
If i close my mouth and refuse to talk
If i do will you still whisper in my ear
That you still love me that you care
Will you still give me that hug and kiss
Or will you desert me and blame it
Then blame it on the absent moose
Will you look me straight in the eye
And tell me suck it up Luis
Get up and do your thing
Or will you cuddle besides me
And keep me warm
Promising me a better tommorow
Its just what you do to me
that gets me through the day
its the smile on your face
that takes my pain away
its the love thats in my heart
for you so strong and true
so i guess im done with searching
cause i dont think ill find another boy like you
you the one thats in my head
i think of everynight
as i lie awake in my bed
loving you feels so right
i just wanna be the perfict one for you
i know we make mistakes
but i know somehow we'll make it thorugh
before my heart brakes
i just wanna know if im the only one who sees
that i am in love
or is it just what you do to me
when my world would fall apart
you would help me to survive
your like the beat of my heart
that keeps me alive
and eventhough it seems
that love is just pretend
i have to dissagree
cause your more than just a friend
your the air that i breath
the only one i believe
the only light in my world that i can see
am i in love or is it just what you do to me

California's riches mission.
White brick structures simply glisten.
Great spread ranches, nice addition.
Wine and cattle.
Peacful life with no bad friction.
Reins and saddle.
You were the first to reach out
to me
...the first to actually see.
You were the first who cared
To tell me you were there.
I never let anyone in,
Never told anyone my sins...
Then you came along,
Telling me I was strong.
Yes, it is true.
I did not believe you,
But you kept telling me...
Hoping for one day I would see.
I guess you were right,
You were the one who got me
to write.
And after I wrote my first few,
I realized... I was really blue.
It took you a while,
But you got me to really smile.
You got me to tell you my
mistakes,
And believe me, they were not
fake.
It was so hard for me to trust,
For everyone I knew left me in
the dust.
You told me I was hope,
I laughed because I had none
and for that I didn't know how
to cope.
You helped me every single
day,
Had me follow your ways.
Yes, it was a hard fight,
For there were days I didn't
want you in my sight.
But now I am here,
Battling all of my fears.
I couldn't have done this
without you,
Honestly I don't know what I
would do.
You're my true friend,
For you stayed through the
end.
Making sure I was alright,
Showing me to the light.
Thank you
Mission raised at place of great bears.
Meat was given easing tribe's cares.
No man seen in savage tone swears.
Neophytes all.
See them lining mission stone stairs.
Nine short few tall.
