A Raccoon in the showroom can you imagine that
now see if you can imagine one holding a cat
never in my life did I think I would see
A little striped cat being held such as he...

Cruel Hearted Greedy People Update

This is just an update to those of you who love your pets!!
Not all the doctors are cruel hearted, greedy vets!!

I actually talked to a nice Doctor last night,
and at five o'clock my cat gave birth to five babies.
The lady took me at my word that I'll pay her tomorrow!
Four babies lived and my cat is now spayed and her babies lived.
All but, one. I actually helped revive the kittens with my sister.
This lady was so upset that she couldn't do anything at the clinic
she was "on call" for, that when she got home to her house she called.
She has her own practice at her house, and she feared my baby would die.
As did, I. So My cat, Maxine, who is named after my Grandma, is okay.
So is Lois and Quagmire, (Family Guy), and Emmet and Jasper. (Twilight)
So thanks everybody!!!! You guys are the greatest!!!!!

Cats have always been with me
each in their own way
has run my house, has run my life,
and worried me when they strayed.

White cats like Alice’s Snowdrop
or striped tigers like the Cheshire
Longhaired Coons from Maine
Now those really are a treasure!

Long whiskers speared the dust bunnies
underneath my rumpled bed’s shell
and they found my missing sock
but they would never tell.

My Pixies paws smelled like popcorn!
Her tummy fur was sweet and long
I’ve heard folks have spun yarn from it
which kept them very warm.

I dream, of black cats I have loved
and tortoise shell “money cats”
I’ve thought of them as babies BUT
They didn’t think much of that.

I’d rather have a cat with me
For the rest of the life I’m given
Oh please give me one more cat
before I leave for heaven.

Metamorphosis

and it came to pass
that the cat stopped chasing foxes
on moonlit tin roofs
for it had dawned upon him
that it was not in the order of things.

and so he prowls in cool shadows,
stalking imaginary butterflies.

for now the cat is content

My Kitty Cat

I call her Princess
She purrs by the gentleness of my caress.
I tease and please her with finesse.
And I love her with all I possess!

Of course she's a cat and likes my bed.
Sometimes I awake to find her sleeping instead!
She always smells sweet like gingerbread.
Princess loves the touch of the silk covered bedspread.

My Kitty cat loves to play,
And most of the time she gets her way.
When she's out and about.
She always takes a different route.

My Kitty is so gentle and so kind,
And when she purrrs it always blows my mind.....

Premium Member My Big Grey

Big Grey was my favorite cat of all time.
He came with no grand pedigree.
He didn't need that, for that wonderful cat
was the object of my affection..

He was but a stray, who somehow found his way
to this home where he was so welcomed.
He made himself king, and ruled everything,
the cats and the big dog and me.

There were other cats here, that he treated as mere
common things to be kept in their places.
My lap was his own, which he quickly made known
to the others that I was his only.

That beautiful cat always there when I sat,
his front legs round my neck he'd entwine.
He'd stare at my face, 'til I needed my space
and I'd him a toy to annoy.

He'd never more roam, for this was his home
where he'd be contented for life.
It was easy to see he belonged here with me
where he was my favorite feline.

I was caught uanaware finding him lying there,
unable to answer my call.
I couldn't believe he was going to leave,
this dear cat that I loved so much.

But now that he's gone, I know he has gone on
to the place where good kitties should be.
May he find up above an angel to love
until I might find him again..
