I built this path, I laid these stones
With love I set down, a path thru gorse
With each one I found I sought
I left a bit of self, lonely fraught

You saw the 'crete, a simple path lain
You hopped across my lovelorn road of pain

Each one was a testament to my joy
To my heart with which you did toy

July was for the look, your disdain
The girl I wanted, to overcome, to reign

August for the great, you left, you left
I felt as lone schooler, single, bereft

September for the Autumn you brought back
You suddenly appeared, cross creek I you raf't

October for the halloween we fretted, suspicious
Not knowing if this was poision, or love, delicious

November for the flurries, your snowy birthday dance
We clashed and sparred, felt wintry love lance

December we cautious, pirouetting, eyeing
Into the New Year we wary spying

January came, we started class, knew new stress
Pricked apart, yet came, together crass

February came, new Cupid new shuffle
We tested limits, stepped away feath'rs ruffl'd

March came out of their wedding bliss
We fought over future, could we hit 'r miss

April brought a new creature, the finals
We pushed through together, equals and rivals

May brought Florida, Destin, so perfect
Fourteen brought us joy and warmth, circumspect

June again, now almost a year
I felt the nervousness, relationship a year

Equinox

a sweet september, flowing tenderly over my wounds,
adorns my soul with golden scintillations
of silence accepted as a token of good-bye…
the necklace made from devil’s fangs
now lays unworn in some corner of my heart,
still throwing from time to time upon my nights
the shadow of a once beloved grin…
make no mistake though, reader…
i am not a believer now…
i’m just waiting on the autumn equinox’s cross
for my resurrection…

Autumn

Fallen leaves, naked trees, cool air is all around.
A gentle breeze blowing leaves.
She came and went like autumn in a small town.

Rimmon Rock

By the city sight, and bright moonlight, we had watched a landing plane.
with my fingers crossed, in the autumn frost, i had hoped youd felt the same
we had slow carressed, and my beating chest, felt as if it were on fire
and I felt so high, looking towards the sky, next to whom i deep desire

	So to rimmon rock
	full of promise talk
and of holding hands and hearts
	I shall not return
	lest the memory burn
like your bright eyes in the dark

So we fled the night, to a barroom blight, thick with tension and with booze
and we drank away, with not much to say, letting awkward silence loose
You were locked inside, the place you hide, too afraid to let me in
You want just a friend, and at that it ends, before it could begin.

	up at Rimmon rock
	i had too much stock
in the future we might start
	but it's gone away
	and its hard to say
that i ever touched your heart

Reunited

Reunited

He went on many years before her
Leaving her all alone
Lately her sadness and loneliness
Had only seen to grown
For fifty years they’d been together
Walking side by side
Now her desire to go on with him
Has dried up and died
Her days seemed so long
Her mind unoccupied
In a rocking chair, in a darken room
From the world she tired to hide
Memories as company
Tears would fill her eyes
She had the need to be with him
She couldn’t say good-bye
Then one bright autumn morning
Her wishes did come true
Her body went to rest
And her soul quickly flew
Reunited with her loved one
She no longer had to wait
When she appeared
He was waiting at the gate

Dark Highway

Seattle summertime is all
Forgotten, in an ugly fall
Of fog, and ever-soaking rain
That hammers heavy down
Upon a woman’s window-pane,
As I am leaving town.

Her only souvenirs are some
Of my romantic poems from
Illusions of an August love,
That left her out of breath—
Before her artist-image of
Me died an autumn death.

October teaches her that I
Had my ambitions up too high,
Imagining I’d ever be
Remembered by a book.
But all of her was offered free
For taking, so I took.

Premium Member And the Rose Faded

Once upon a time
In many peoples lives
Males met a female
And they turned into wives

The garden was so fertile
Many seeds were sown
So many lawns were laid
Our spirits having grown

Undulations rise
As relationships recede
Do we finally reach
That point of exceed

This garden can no longer
Grow green, prosper and true
It's like the Autumn season
It can die in front of you

Ones soul can be so broken
Just like it has been raided
When your levy breaks
You know your rose has faded
