Lend a Hand

Nature created a balance
Man wants to conquer and thrive
Progress not conservation is Man’s desire
Soon there’ll be nowhere for Nature to survive

 So, pick up that bottle
	Carry out your trash
Leave nothing behind
	Plastics give ‘em a rash

Leave the branches alone
	No carving initials, please
Let them grow big and strong
Let Nature, not man, bring disease

Clean up the waters
	Stop dumping our waste
Let us let the fish breathe
Our pollutants bring demise in haste

Birds fly through smog
We darken the skies with our clouds
We constantly take this world for granted
	And the Earth grumbles aloud

Lend a hand for Mother Earth
	Just do your small part
For the animals, plants, water and your kids
Today is a great day to start

Premium Member Lend Me Your Ear

Easy to judge by what it seems to be,
More effort to immerse in what we hear.
Take time to talk, there is much more to me,
Before you tune me out, lend me your ear.

Estranged to yours my life seems to appear
Yet I laugh, love and struggle as do you.
Same start, same final and same febrile fear -
To be misjudged for diverse points of view.

Bisected by a biased borderline,
It only seems we are two worlds apart -
For eyes to see, open your closed up mind
Lend me your ear, I’ll open up my heart.

Lend a Helping Hand

There's always some poor soul, I find,
whose life is in a mess!
Someone, who really needs some help,
in times of strife and stress.

They need their spirits lifted,
sometimes that's all it takes!
It really is surprising,
the world of difference, that it makes!

A smile, an act of kindness,
will do more than words can say!
Don't wait for folks to ask for help,
be there for them today!

Premium Member Lend Me Your Heart Oh Child

Worth and numbers rarely go hand in hand.
Producing seeds which will rot and be eaten by the locust
makes barrenness a special kind of blessing.
So pay attention and lend me your mind oh child
b'cos from it comes the brush to which your life is coloured.

Rights enable you claim your hat
responsibilities show you when and how to wear it.
Manifestation of your works beyond the comprehension of your mates
exalts the power of your mind
but constant announcement of your own achievements
makes you the promoter of their doubts to crown you a liar.
Vehicles driven by words are no match
for the ones handled by deeds.

Let not your free will be cajoled
grudges in a hidden corner after the exhibition of charity
blows out your light with an awful breath.
A non doer and an adamant “no” giver
still possess some honour
when compared to a chronic complainer.
Reputation decorates the corner of an uptight man
but it is slavery when one lives on too many principles.
A good life is one moving on the chariots of freedom
and freedom is running a lifestyle
both within and outside without much notice.

Habits are great managers to conscience’s liquor stores
and character intoxication is closest to the point of irreversibility.
A greedy mind is a warehouse run by waste with no room for left overs.
A tight fisted hand is self limiting, reducing its surface area to receive.
A mind without courtesy to its environs,
spinning the world around its own orbit breeds selfishness.
Corruption builds thorns around the heart
and makes the soul a direct relation to insanity.
If false words were grapes, water would be tastier than wine.
Exaggeration adds a tail to the bird
and makes the dog an Amphibian.

But love gives poisons no ground to strive
satisfaction without it is the existence
of a Leopard in an Elephant’s skin.
The gardens of space filled with little rainbows
cannot outshine its colours;
staying as the only ingredient necessary for the preservation of humanity.
When your mind is at peace with itself,
then is the Joy of my inheritance to you completely whole.

Lend Me Thy Pen

If I can just borrow one of your pens
So my own lines, would, at least, make some sense
To create rhythms that are clear, and not dense
Be able to inspire with no offense
I shall be proud when the pen's scrawling ends.

Write what brings peace to emotional tides
Words that the soul, to natures call abides
All of worldly worries, one set asides
Releasing the turmoil that one hides
As the reader through lines of a verse rides

A line in a poem to connect the minds
Though its words be fragile still hearts it binds
So as to heal the loneliness that grinds
Even far away, a soulmate one finds
With your pen I'll search for a word that winds

If you can just lend me one of your pens
So my lines would, to my friends, make some sense
And share my heart to them clear and intense
Without the mistake of making offense
I'll be fulfilled when the pen's scrawling ends.

I Am Here To Lend Your Cry

Salam, how are you there?
Wassalam, good, Alhamdulillah
How about the issue in Sabah
Nothing to worry
I am worried because you are my friend
I am okay; just want to know your opinion
No probs, what do you think of that opinion?
Does it hurt you personally?
Nope, it makes sense

I am not personally taking part, I have my own problem
Indeed but I am so sad, many don’t understand the situation
They are taking one side condemning Suluk in general
So as the other Suluk in Sulu archipelago
Many also condemning Melayu in general
I always think about others
My cousin, a policeman is in the frontline

I am so sad, pray hard
Please cry with me
I am here for you to lend your cry
Can I pretend nothing happen?
We can’t pretend to be nothing to happen
Then rest and cry with me
To make people understand is not easy
Sometime we also take time to understand our situation
I am hurt to what happen, we are being fooled by colonisers
They ask us to inherit this misery

Hmmm I am so sorry to hear that
Hopefully you won’t hate the Suluk generally
So, as long as it does not contradict to my stand
What is your stand supposedly?
At least I have one good friend from Jolo ancestry
I am a good friend because you are good

I know nothing about the war; I just wanted to know the peace
It’s really easy to smile and pretend that you are okay
Rather than telling people why you are sad
It’s not easy to imagine that war
I just want to keep it by my self
I wanted to keep this in my sleep
When I wake up tomorrow
Peace is expected to blow
Let have this peace to reign right away

The poem is made through the conversation with Malay friends from Kuala Lumpur about the conflict happened in Lahad Datu. We shall never put the bangsa in general as what we are thinking is right: Suluk is bad and Melayu is arrogant. We need a better understanding to conclude that each bangsa like Suluk and Melayu have nothing to do with the situation. It is a matter of siding the truth and rights. I therefore personally accepted if everyone hates me because I am Suluk and that would make the world stay in peace and to save peace, I am willing to be called such: “Suluk is bad and Melayu is arrogant” but the “country and world is peaceful” is achieved. The war declared ended today by Malaysian authority. Let Us All Save Peace. Layag Sug. 11th March 2013, Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia!

Premium Member Lend a Hand

Someone help me!
Is there anyone who can hear my plea?
So many are cold and empty
Just no empathy
A friend in need is a friend in deed
These are gifts from God so let’s plant these seeds
I always have a sociable fondness
Bless someone with simple act of kindness
Happiness is infectious
Hug someone I dare you to try this
Hands have great power
They can destroy or help others
Have you ever felt that you have so much potential?
Everyone is blessed with a gift that is very special
Sometimes do you ask, “Why should I care?”
When others fail I promise to be there
Because 100 times Jesus is there for me
We’re all are from the same human race….fighting to be free
No Human life is more important than your own
But where are the ones that can I rely on?

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Lend An Ear, My Cavalier

I have forfeited every inch
Of your bitter blow
And you have reaped the profit.
You took my discretion for granted
And placed me inside a cage.
You withered,
Disdainfully,
In an open page.
The palate of your face
Eating at the sky
And delivering me to justice.
Haunting me and my forbidden womb.
Drenching the maggots
In silver and golden
As they nibble at a
Greasy toothed moron
From the grave.
And in temptation,
You'll haunt them too.
A wandering pilgrimage
Isn't far from you.
And with this thought,
Your on foot,
Fleeing to the very next castle
Of whore ridden death and degenerates.
And because of his avarice
You will never turn back.
And because the tips of her hair,
Drenched in brandy
And ever tickling at your spine,
You will never turn back.
At agate,
An open wound sits
Mingling with the dark and the lecherous.
Having cocktails with the waitress
Whose initials spell hepatitis
And whose breasts aren't far from
The waist you see so fit.
Gangrene has not swallowed
This slit up just yet
And it is far too simpleminded
Of you to forget how you pleaded
With her to let it heal.
Let it heal.
Let it stop.
Let it seal.
To free the ever so silent songbird
Who has been caged in your debt
For centuries,
Bargaining and wagering with
The undertaker
And licking at injustice with her toes,
Wanting nothing more than to bear
The child of a man who hates the sea
But is born from the salt of it's accomplices.
A man whose bitter death is but a tragedy
To shoe makers
But sleeps under a petticoat
For fear of losing his head.
The man who holds his key so tightly
With all probability and intention
Of letting it go.

Lend Me But Dont Cry

What will it cost to pay you ask;
Don't know your spirit says, you hiss
I need that, Gosh!! I need this...
I got to get it before its all gone.

With toads in your throat you walked on straight,
not knowing when to stop or lie.
With your speech, there comes your trick,
and every truth are all but lie.

On and then, you pass but hide
Why suffer with the guilt that comes with it
To pay you cant but lived on high.
Why ask, when paying isn't far or near!

Never count money not held in your hand,
and never stand good for the debts of a friend;
For some never learn though they grow old and feeble.
It pays to use caution when dealing with people.

Lend a Hand

A child somewhere is freezing out in the cold night,
A child somewhere is fighting a war like a knight,
Ah! everywhere are helpless children without light,
Let’s give help and for a child lend a hand.

No more heartaches and sleepless nights,
No more heartbreaks and endless fights,
Oh! for heaven’s sake, let’s do things right,
We could build a better world for every child.

There won’t be any fear of pain,
There won’t be any tears in the rain,
When we aid a child, we’ll get the gain,
You can get involved today and lend a hand.

Pen and Dress To Lend

Here…the pen
there the paper
whiter than snow
yesterday laid upon the sill of my laughter
overturning my frown
like a table in the house of God and goodness
Crying JOY!
till ...Be not alive with joy! whispers ....find solace in the crime of wishful sadness….because joy will only...don't you see ...

it flows around you in swirls like a chiffon dress
taken from the closet of the owner of the house you clean
you drape it across your bent shoulders and become
Cinderella…transformed in twinkles and sparkling fairy dust
               born anew….in transcendence
Ethereal waves flow about you as you swirl the room
a mystical band strikes up lovely lordly notes

and a car door slams shut

the house of cards falls from your fingertips to the marble tiles…
              which do not
somehow turn into the safe congoleum
              of your own modest kitchen

You dash and smash the dress back into the closet

crushed
reality is not like the movies
paper is sullied by the ink
and your smile ...by guilt
You take up your magic wand
return to scrubbing the toilet bowl
bashful and again bowed before the
reflection in the gold knobbed vanity

but still in angelic rebuttal... the tinkle...the wondrous unearthly voice
inside cries

                                         Joy...Joy...Joy

Lend Me Your Enemy

I want to pick a fight
Readied my arsenal to fight
Finished the last Kung Fu drill
I'm in the mood to fight
No one is annoying me today
My toes are peeping
Nobody is stepping, today
Lend me your enemy, today
Finished my Kung Fu class
I'm looking for experience
They fear me, today

Lend a Hand To a Friend

Lend a hand to a friend, when they can't.
again, lend a hand to a friend, when they are at their end
and has no ends, to tend to their kin; also best friends.

And so, as you lend a hand to a friend; possibly a kin
please, make sure that their needs; ends are met; also, set
as you split; jet.

Please Don'T Lend Me Your Dream

Life is not an alibi, it wasn’t built for practicality
You cheer the crowd and succumb to formality
A tragic event will not stop the planet turning
In me is the spirit inexorable, avid - burning
Marching curators performing mandatory tests
The sheath plunging you deep inside the crust.
Will the world supply me with a new identity?
When the choices rise to countless infinity
People watch over see want they desire to see,
They wonder what I may turn out to be,
A flamboyant umbrella or a borrowed ladder
The missing profile, afraid to cross the border
Yesterdays shimmering light blinding your eyes
Friendly faces moving ahead bidding goodbye
Life is an occasion, but how far is the shore?
The rhythm of existence is an engulfing lore
Shaking of the nausea is a common mission
Will it regenerate to capsize my vibrant vision?
Survivors are far too many; aspire to be a savior,
You rise to it - the one dreamt of being a redeemer!
