Thoughts and words cannot be reconciled
                                       In the tunnel I'm locked
                                         Echo of mortal words
and the footprints of the killer
                                     Spiders and hordes of bats
Although I am inviolable, death is stronger
I can not fight against the power of darkness
                                       in this criminal underworld
Raw and intense - brutal realities

                                       Trapped in my own body
Closes my eyes and disappears into my own existence
                                        I realize the pitiful truth
The sledgehammer hits harder and harder
                                      An ice cold, psychopathic killer
The head and the heart will so gladly accept
                                      this indescribably ruthless pain
The past and the future are killed
I hope the shadows never find me

                                        ____/____ let my soul rest
                                      until we meet again

Violet

In London, away in a terrace
Half-hidden with elm trees and grime,
Lived young Violet, in her parents' house,
Left alone for near all of the time,

As her mother had no patience to teach her
And her father was working all day,
Violet read to herself through her childhood
Forgetting her seclusion in play,

Any friends she made as a young woman
Would laugh at her stitches and cloth,
For they knew that Violet was quite useless
And so showed their neat needlework off,

Poor Violet kept trying her best, but
Each time everyone ran her down,
She retreated back into her mind's warmth
Far away from that cold-blooded town,

Then one night, as the raindrops were piercing
Through the rueful, restricting twilight,
Violet threw on her Sunday attire and
Did at once in the darkness delight,

So she ran through the alleys and gardens,
Dancing down the pitch-black London streets,
Her beautiful dress flew about her
As she skipped past the other deceits,

Violet's stories swam round in her memory
As she flew through the night and the stars,
And she bathed thoroughly and with relish
Until Violet was cleansed of her scars,

Now her heart was open and happy,
So she laughed and fluttered her tail,
Carelessly gliding free through the water
And onwards to the ocean did sail.

As the weary sun rose on the next day
Her friends could be seen on the pier,
Dabbing at their dry eyes with their hankies,
Voices straining trying to sound sincere,

"It has hurt us so indescribably,
That because of her poorly-sewn hems,
Violet felt she was inferior to us
And has drowned herself in the Thames."

Violet's parents had not yet noticed
The absence of their only daughter,
And they would understand even less
How she came to be dead underwater,

But Violet was now free to prosper,
To swim and to dance and to glide,
And with angels and mermaids to play with,
She would always in her dreams reside.

Premium Member When you sang, dreams croaked, then you ceased to be a volcano

When you sang, dreams croaked, then you ceased to be a volcano,
It was simpler to become a rock, not letting yourself be unraveled by the waves of myopia.
After seasons died in your arms, resigned to your cold might,
You questioned if perhaps all flowers tear their petals in vain for you.
You were left emptied of greenness, a vast void where echoes can't return,
You've lost the appetite for light and horizons, a crownless tree in the purple twilight.
Oh, how you wished to remain the same old fir, clutching a world of rays to your chest,
But you let the day slip into night, you departed to become the leaf you await to fall.
Nymphs in chorus called you to shout again, for the wind to blow in your blue day,
But you stayed silent, and in your silence the tear of the sea extinguished in a fist of foam,
You feared the equinox that doesn't come, the persistent remembrance of a song once drawn,
And you feigned your existence into a white beginning of hibernation, like a silence before a revelation.
Do you believe that once you bloomed, the storm can't break the branch that holds you?
You stopped being the barbarian that made the echo in the mountain laugh at itself,
And in exchange for smiles, a sad pass settled on your face, casting long shadows,
An unanswered question that floats above you, a flight that no longer knows how to reach its destination.
Ah, you’ve lost her, that fearless bird that used to scent the filters of your soul!
You've ceased your word, halted the depth from caressing the root of the sky.
You've forgotten the whirlwind that lifted you above the world, and now you search for meaning,
You are a snail without a shell, feather without flight, a ripple without an ocean, a sky without a constellation.
Is waking harder? Is oblivion gentler than the sweet pretext of remembrance?
You wonder why the stars do not answer your indescribably late call,
The road back seems too long now, legends speak of new beginnings, barren horizons.
Slowly but surely, you lost it... in a pass of slippery fog over your world,
Now you are the slave to your own echoes, seeking a mirror in me so you can breathe once more.

Premium Member Forever Within

I watched the rain
Pouring forever,
Down,
It seemed.

Later, the Sun,
The moon and stars
Still – silently glowing,
Forever it seemed.

My body occupied their space,
Evolving thoughts traveled elsewhere
Trying to connect together
Brilliantly glowing alone – apart.

I watched what was there
Trying to understand a connection
Senseless frigid thoughts of oddity
Fitting inside was not possible, again
Always outside – where it isn’t cramped
Enough room to feel the stillness - usually.

I had no face. Timid. I
Was indescribably blending in with whiteness
Erased by the superficial nothingness of time and space
Where people resided with their clothes of jewels, gold and furs.

Naked and exposed I lived amongst the forgotten few by the many
Clad with my pure innocent unrefined rags of thoughts, ideas and brittle crumbs
Leftovers for the “fairy tales of once upon a time” … the soulful ones
Definable only by the inside of myself from within myself.
Separated by inevitability, not by choice, maybe but still outside.

I remain condemned by who I am
To live within
Inhaling the warmth solitude of self-expression
Forever within.

Until I Met You

Before I met you,
I thought I was happy,
and I was,
but I had never known
the rich contentment,
deep satisfaction,
and total fulfillment
you brought to me
when you came into my life.
Before I met you,
I felt a lot of things,
good things,
but I had never experienced
the indescribably intense
feelings I have for you.
Before I met you,
I thought I knew myself,
and I did,
but you looked deep inside me
and found fresh new things
for us to share.
Before I met you,
I thought I knew about love,
but I didn’t,
until I met you.

Journey To a Sceptred Isle -

Journey To A Sceptred Isle -

Mysterious land's of lavish greenery
Breathtaking view's. Indescribably scenery.
The land and irrigated pastures, ever so fertile
In the midst of the Atlantic, a floating pearl, a magnificent isle.

An island inhabited by the mighty and proud
Siberian winds circulate the lonesome isle. A quintessential shroud
The upper north. Rough highlands and mountains
The lower south. Fine abbeys and fountains.

An island, a speck. Minute and petite
Do not forsake this treasury of power. It's aura emit's mystique.
Follow the beckoning light. Think not of these lands barbarious
Expected the unexpected. A famed nation where men grow victorious.

Clasped the entire world in it's tight fist
It's tongue and culture spread like a soulful mist.
Grasped the lands of their forefathers, with its might
Undeniable power - an empire which exceeded the sky in height

The lands where the chilling winds bite
And the glaring snow, creeps in through the whistling night
Yet the extreme south experiences a Caribbean breeze
In the midst of a humble, everlasting freeze

The lands of inspiration and desire. A cornucopia of hope
A gamble, which only the brave and bold, take and cope.
An open chest of emeralds. A civilized society
What is the price they shall pay, discrimination, and labelled the minority?

The lands great King’s and Queen’s viciously fought
A place wise sage’s and priest’s exhaustively taught.
A place inhabited by the pompous and the scrupulous
However, like all goldmines ; come impurities and the perfidious.

We pay our respect to Haji Naushah Ganj Baksh, now starts the adventure
Farewell Hindustan – land of the Indus. Into the Unknown we venture.
Drawing near and near, to the mysterious lands. Sleep deprived, induced insomnia
Their feet’s touch the fresh grass. Can it be? Mighty Britannia.

-My fathers spiritual, and emotionally crushing journey to set up a new life in the west. dedicated to him.

Mother's Heart

A mother’s heart

A mother’s heart is uniquely made by God’s loving hands.
Enable to endure heartache and love indescribably grand.

He gave her a heart with ability to bond in an instant
With everlasting love started when you were an infant.

God knew he had to make her heart strong but tender
Heart break will surely come but she will not surrender

Children will test the limits of her patience and temperament
With making poor choices and teenaged self-righteous arrogance.

Standing firm and not willing to budge from your fits of anger
Trying to understand who replaced her child with this stranger.

A mother’s heart is unchanging as the years soon past by
She loves you now as much as when she heard your first cry

When God created the mother’s heart he had an ultimate purpose
For a mother’s love is freely given and cannot be bought or purchased

A mother’s love will last till the day God takes her to heavenly places
She holds on to fond memories and her children’s precious faces.

Because God knows a mother’s heart can’t be without love to share
He blessed her with many grandchildren an answer to her prayer.

Now she looks forward to her visits from her family she dearly loves
And thanks the Lord for her many blessing each and every one.

Premium Member Like a Sparrow

Sits content on the ridge cap

of your roof, tweeting, mind fleeting

is happy to find a worm, a bug

cares not for the song

of the nightingale

just as well

you'd place him in a cage

to hear him sing

cares not for the eagles flight

you'd tame him, make him hunt

for you

he is happy to be the sparrow

as that is what he was intended to be

how sad would it be

if there were no sparrows

in the big city marketplace

We humans so get off the track of life

end up derailed, marooned, shipwrecked

but of our own accord

carry too much baggage

What do we care about destiny

so are we caught up in our own

web of consternation

that we are blind to truth

You know that the mighty king,

the hippy, the judge, the baker

and the undertaker, and my dear reader,

even you, and me

we all stem from the same cell, originally

as we were taught at R I, in primary school

Yet all that matters little, cosmically speaking

as the earth spins about itself and about the sun etc.

it does not spin for or around you nor me

but it is so indescribably beautiful

that in the reflection of a puddle

in the street

we can see the moon, the sun, our faces

cathedrals and mountains

regardless of riches or poverty.

Like a sparrow

we ought to accept

what we have

as that is most likely

how it was intended.

Premium Member Ever Wonder What's For Din-Din

In the heat of a passionate encounter

Do you ever stop and think

“Wonder what's for din-din?”

Seems all our thoughts and energy

Are devoted to the task at hand, so to speak

So much so that it feels like our head will explode

Then that indescribable moment

When the trumpets blow

And a band of angels start singing, “Hallelujah!”

Are we interested in who won the big game last night

Or the political situation in Kazakhstan

Well I can surely tell you here and now

Because at that indescribably moment of joy

I REALLY don't give a poop!

The building could come collapsing down around me

I'm intent on finishing what I started

Come hell or high water

Did you ever stop and wonder

What's for din-din tonight?

No Lament

Finding myself at a loss for words
And it's anything but writer's block
I've abandoned my pad and pen
Not a thought about the clock

Lost in tonight's moments
My heart's doing all the talking
It's got me walking on the clouds
Yeah, the beat's so loud

A thousand hues so bright
Washing my soul, giving me sight
Like a tidal wave crashing over me
I can't escape, you're all I see

And what I see leaves me speechless
Emotions that can't be described
A love so fierce, leaves me powerless
I can't resist, overtaken from inside

Now, here in this quiet moment
Watching you sleep, still feeling the beat
Lyric without words.. so sweet
Unwritten song.. no lament

~Lyric Man

Note: I wanted to write something about those times when love is so indescribably glorious that you're at a loss for words.. because they can't hope to contain what is going on inside the heart. Truly, sometimes the best song is the lyric without words!

Once Upon the Truth

Red as blood, black as ebony,
born a child into mortality;
could not be saved, was choked – reborn as white as snow.
“Mirror, mirror on the wall,
for it so happens that you know
the name of whom the King shall call."

The Ruler over all, saw in your heart but black,
thus sent his Son on donkeyback.
His Majesty clambered the tow’r, made it known:
“My Kingdom, Dear, is now your own.”
Escaping the walls, about Him you learnt:
He is the cornerstone, the foundation firm.
He is the safehouse built of bricks,
as one blow destroys what’s straw, what’s sticks.

For others you spun straw to gold,
but this brought forth your nature cold;
demanded sacrifices in return, that’s when
it created a monster among the men.
The King after all, did not give up,
gave his Son in bread and cup –
for so He indescribably loved you,
the wick’d beast became lovable too.

Grateful you now give away
what’s left of bread, of dress threadbare;
till stars from heav’n in excess rai’
and treasure you with Rich and Fair.
Royal blood flows through your veins
and yet in shame the mask remains –
ashamed of the low-life you have led
and the evil that was once a threat.

All mysteries solved when stabbed - you die
and bare on a bed of roses you will lie.
Once upon a time you took a leap of faith:
He is the reason in time you’ll reawake.
The reason, before death you’ll not need to shake,
hence not despair when mockery and laughter
ridicule your Happy Ever-After…

Ode Deer

Deer, Oh, Deer, oh lovely host!
Do you enjoy your Christmas trust?
You pull the sleigh, with magic born,
across the sky 'fore Christmas morn.

Oh. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen,
Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen,
and Rudolph, do you recall, the very
first Christmas in a manger stall?

Shepherds, sheep, donkeys, and cattle
witnessed the birth in a barn.
Throughout the world animals rejoiced
on the day the Savior was born.

Your ancestors may, on that glorious day,
have looked on a beautiful star.
And known that the marvelous, miraculous,
birth had occurred in a place rather far.

To have been chosen, from your kindred,
to honor His glorious birth and election
so the world would remember, late in December,
is your honorable, noteworthy, selection.

Your existence is fable, unlike the stable,
but your mission is similar to His own;
For you carry peace and joy in a gift or a toy
so Santa can visit each home.

The joy that abounds as Santa makes rounds
is seen in each girl and boy.
To be part of His gift and give children a lift
is indescribably wonderful joy.

The New Born Alki

maybe it can see?

  indescribably complex colors.
a myopic genius without an epic.

 maybe it can hear?

half the world is sleeping anyway..
metric sighs narrow in the ear.

maybe it can feel?

the age of some dermal mother,
 she's given to much already.

maybe it can sense?

the distance between winters still births
or springs equinox spinning on a
celestial crown.

 maybe it can taste?

malt liquer and little else.
such a devine herbicidial palate.
