Best Hope Wisdom Poems
purple tulips, the color of her toddler dress.
the leafy stems, her eyes.
the baby-blond hair, mom combs into a crest,
the sea will satisfy.
blond slowly turns brunette, tumbles
from Rapunzel’s tower, then gets shorn.
green waters, a dry oasis —
cerulean blue boundary.
open sesame with artificial drops.
wrinkle-protected eyes.
ears can’t hear what others say.
deaf and blindness make her appear wise.
guttural sounds - huh, eh, hmm.
smiles and nods as the tongues of the young,
like trumpets in her ear, elucidate their troubles.
she’s ironed out hers. they still exist.
still, she knows the outcome.
sediment of the sea shelled out to the deep.
sand sifts through her fingers.
sandcastles wash out, but i see
children carrying shovels and pails.
some have leafy-stem eyes and baby-blond hair.

The heat was scorching today
its flames licking the ridges of every soul to a boil
i was busy searching for a chill from an electric fan
an ice cream, the sea, a fridge, an air con, the azure pool
suddenly i heard a vagrant knocking at the door
”Pardon me, sir, I’m burning with heat
would you be so kind as to lend me your cold handkerchief?”
”I bet you are. So long as you’re on the street,
you always are. Only, I don’t have a cold handkerchief.”
”But the heat is really, really killing me, sir.
A cold handkerchief might just cool me down.”
”I don’t have a cold handkerchief. But, I’ll give you a jug of water.”
”Ah, thank you, sir.”
But I handed the hobo a cold handkerchief anyway
which he received from my stiff, frozen
glacier-like fingers
as his frail body was melting to a springing
kalkausar
that drowned me in
to a chill
My name is Craig Schaber and poetry is my game through my words of wisdom I hope
you find a rhyme. If you take the time to read my words they might just blow your mind.
I know there is one for you I hope you find one that you really like that will make you
laugh when you are felling blue. So many words of wisdom I don’t know where to start
but I know once you read them they will stay in your heart. I don’t know what else to
say only that my words of wisdom are here to stay.
I'm going for the
Gold,
My heart is in control,
Trying to succeed
takes giant
G.U.T's
I'm a lion
from the ghetto
Just running
through the meadow,
not looking for alliance
you can the have science,
because when the
game starts,
my faith is the
appliance
Heart pounding hard
boxer
you should win
a Oscar
Not fighting for
popularity
I want the game to
marry me
Don't care about a
Salary
The best
until they bury me
Train all day,
that's how you gain
clarity
Talking bad about my team
should be a sin
Blasphemy
Soul singed and burnt nerves,
Beer batter and deep fry hopes.
Deluge of sorrows, flood of fears
Wipe those tears, have dry hopes.
Walk through the shadow of doubt
Climb a mountain, touch the sky hopes.
You stomp on my dreams,
But you won’t crush my hopes.
The sky won’t fall today,
Held up by so many high hopes
Edison is the father of inventions
Bringing light and hope to this world
And the Wright Brothers too
Bringing closer the corners of the world to you
Nowadays thousands of inventions have accumulated
And we even didn't know the inventors
We accept and enjoy their hardwork
Their wisdom and contributions
Unfortunately many are misused
Making the world harder, more sick and more horrible
Who is to be blamed
Of course
The devil in man's heart
Who has overuled
The pure soul of the inventor
God has given man the intelligence to invent
But man destroys it
With his own bad motive
Who is to be blamed
Maybe we can't blame God
It's our own fault
Hate and intolerance, wicked evils of the world.
Prejudices, biases, and bigotry
ran high and rampant -
in times of unrest and hardship.
Why are some so thoughtless?
I realize that hate is not something
that is natural to us.
From the early beginning of life,
that spontaneously sprung into existence.
Like a blade of grass appearing unbeknownst
in a silent crack on the sidewalk.
Back then, we were still -
uncontaminated by the evils -
as we grew older, in some,
they took roots and planted the seeds
of ignorant stereotypes.
Put in place and cultivated,
by the very society we live in.
With the numberless amounts of fertilizers
that society fed to them,
they began inciting hate and prejudices.
In the end, all those efforts resulted in violence.
Purposely released upon those
of difference, be it of
race, religion, or sexual orientation,
that can't bend to its will,
in its own disillusioned image.
Hate, intolerance, prejudice, bias, and bigotry -
from forth its heart
it unleashed onto the world -
fear, unrest, violence,
and ultimately, destruction.
As I get behind myself I must rewind myself.
I can’t go too fast. Yet, not too slow.
There are many things to be achieved in this life. I must grasp them.
So many things are out of my reach.
Motivation keeps me going.
I must not give in to the temptations of my mind telling me that I can’t do it.
I can.
I will.
And not stop! There’s no stopping here.
I have to keep going.
Inspired by Glenn Hughes song "The truth will set me free"
Gone are the ruins of the palace I've built
with sands of my dormant dreams,
at the bleak bottom of the breaking waves,
rolling in the squally sea of gripping sorrow.
I emerge dazed out of the depression debris,
tread the plateau of pensive life turned fallow.
I weave aspirations with threads of imagination,
transform me to grow wings of freedom,
soar with silver-lined cloud in the seamless sky.
A golden nest within far thicket you've made,
with a sense of pride I enter enthralled.
It turns into a cage, I can't spread my wings,
confined with stifled hopes, I forget how to sing.
The air whispering spring sonata doesn't reach me,
but mastering courage I break open the cage,
guided by wisdom I escape the captivity,
fly to the freedom of rhapsody in the sapphire sky.
After the rainstorm makes a stream in my eyes,
the hues of rainbow feelings embrace me,
allure the songbird in me to fly again free,
reach with noble faith the halcyon horizon of bliss.
I will have to start it all new
At thirty two, at thirty two,
Selection process isn't due
Til you decide that it is due.
Stranger come closer
And take my heart
Alive and beating
Hold it in your hands
The moment is fleeting
I am afraid it might
Not be alive by the end
Of the day of tomorrow
Overwhelmed by sorrow
For the world sinking
Into meaningless hollow
Repetitiveness of empty
Lonesome existence
Step by step slowly
Like darkness follows
The light of the day
In to the pitch of the night
Save my heart for the time
When it starts beating
Alive in unison again
With awakening world
After hibernating in cold
Outskirts of cosmos
Let then my heart be free
And fly into the future
Described by poets beauty
Locked in the prisons
By the rulers of the world
Who did not believe
There is eternal goodness
Hidden in the heart of a human
Which will be awakened
When the wind of change
Comes from the North
Blowing away the chaos
From the surface of the earth
And destroy the thrones
Of evil that has been ruling
This world for too long
Then the heart will awaken
And will sing a song
In the breaking of dawn
Of a new life coming
Stranger be my hearts keeper
So, it will sleep safely
In your hands till morning
That is inevitably coming
Advisable for everyone would be
Hope's bright flame in his heart to keep burning,
If wishes, fear, and darkness disappear
And true to be each of his soul's yearning!

In the case of life Love turns from plaintiff to defendant
Justice the judge, is impartial throughout the hearing
Love left to plea for it’s mere existence
Justice in the process of rearing the ugly verdict
You called upon Wisdom, says Justice
Which you considered to be your greatest ally
However Wisdom proved to be your downfall
Because Wisdom does not reside with you
In fact Folly is your greatest ally
You , Love, Called upon compassion
Compassion could not offer you solace
You had received all Compassion could give
You gave it away at every chance
Love, you then blamed betrayal for your failings
Betrayal proved that also it was never in your way
Moreover it was working in your interest at every turn
Only hiding it’s motives to protect your constituents
Justice says, I must say you are the greatest charity worker
You work in the interest of no one and in the interest of everyone
Your logic is error and your error is logic
A true contradiction of yourself
You live on a path between Triumph and Tragedy
Taking either route as you go through Time
You say Happiness is your goal
You say that Hope will lead you there
Have in Time, Hope can prove true or false
Then you claim you then are the goal in yourself
But you have already proved to be a contradiction
What then can be said about you Love
I say you make the greatest case, with the least evidence
There is your virtue and your vice
Life is not finite
We live to live
Not solely to find our place in the limelight
Be and Exist
A tryst must be made to come true
Do not evade and elude
Life is your chance to be you
Shudder at commonality
True vitality is found only in duality, or three-ality
Escape reality and exist where and how you wish
We can only BE
When we see the big picture
Do not accept fixture or fixation
Become a mixture of elation and excitement
Enlighten the mind so that life may not bind you
Instead, retread previous ground
Abound and rejoice in your choice to inspire
Revel in the muck and the mire
It may just wipe clean the stain of wasted time transpired
Death
is a dark, black storm that most fear
coming to take all that we have
but, tragedy is an illusion
why cry, when we can smile about it
there is nothing to fear, it's natural
all tales that begin will eventually end
even if they last 100 years
stand up, embrace it
and live with all you got
