Homing In On Stuben Roo
Homing in on Stuben Roo..

Stuben Roo, the man who knew,
That spinned the tales of Abennew,
The place that dawned before the night,
The place that spawned the Abbenite,
Colors, sounds and happenstance,
Led Stuben Roo, this place by chance,
Will he belong forevermore?
Take out the key and lock the door?
Or...

As a child
I liked how its life
fitted so well within
my clasped hands,
the feel
of its smooth head,
the silky
one way fall
of feathers down
to a turquoise collar,
its tight form
loaded like
a coiled spring
beneath all that softness,
gathered ready to launch
and lift with wings,
letting it go
and most of all,
its coming back....

Roaming Homing
trimmed all my long hair
the hair i always dreamed about and wasn't there
somethings are never measured by the means of the brain
shoulders at ease while you're becoming insanely sane
everything in discipline like a track less train
round and round till you get to dizzy for direction
have...

Which is it, a pigeon or dove?
We hate one; the other, we love.

'Twas likely a squab,
opined likewise of you, thereof.

Homing
Like each drop of your humbleness
engulfing my urbanite woes;
the graffiti emerges in tender grace
to resurrect a windmill.

My spirit, the abode of small birds
carrying the sunset on its back
was returning home for the final-
sleep in the lap of twilight.

When autumn comes and crippled,
brown leaves start...

Homing
The day not spent in logic, soar esteem
gives bending of the way by fools that preen
for entity, while wholeness in thee mean,
no fullness rectifies its closest ream.

And virtue seeking less, does search its gleen
from yesterday, the taunt's continuing scene
does loosen not but goads to its...

Homing Bees

Up before dawn
To bring home the bees,
Last evening’s swarm
So full and feisty,
And nestled in
Their new hive
They seem contented
Distracted and without concern
That in the end
They have only
Travelled a few feet
From their old home.
